I had new windows fit throughout my house and also the sunroom at the beginning of April. Kevin and Lewis, who are a father and son team completed the work to a very high standard. They were professional and took extreme care of my property. They cleaned up all the mess at the end of each day. I would recommend this company to everyone wanting any work doing on their property.
I previously had a new conservatory roof fitted with this company and I am very happy with it. I feel I got good value for money.

Our overall experience with THI was nothing short of exceptional, from initial contact through to final sign-off and decoration. They turned our ‘unliveable’ Conservatory into a a little piece of year round paradise.
Having experienced the uncomfortable seasonal temperature variations and weather noise (wind and rain) in the Conservatory of our new home, we decided that an upgrade to a solid insulated roof (the original was Polycarbonate) and installation of new generation Double Glazed unit was absolutely necessary to enjoy the extra live space throughout the year.…but where to start with so many adverts on-line and varying testimonials…???
After hours of research, and seeking genuine feedback, we eventually decided to go with a local firm in THI and this proved to be the perfect choice. Simply to say, they EXCELLED in customer experience, professionalism, workmanship, product and quality of build.
From the outset of initial discussions on our needs we felt that we were in good hands. Every meeting was held at home, on time, permitted multiple iterations of our design consideration and at no point did we feel pressured to undertake something that was not what we wanted.
The selling points for us were the flexibility in build options, demonstration of the new construction technology, with higher insulation properties of the SuperLite Tiled Roof and new Double Glaze units.
The Infrared Light Demo, comparing old & new Glazed Units, was highly effective. We are now living those positive claims, with both reduction in heat gain from sunlight and internal thermal heat loss through the roof windows.
The ‘pièce de résistance’ was, once we had decided on what we thought was our final design, when THI brought it all together with Virtual Reality Technology (VR Goggles), which even included the view of our garden through the windows, with the finished build right there in front of your eyes…👀
WOW…!!! is all we can say…but that brought about even more changes, as we explored instant updates ‘on the fly’, and saw them brought to ‘real life’ through the VR Technology. The design we finalised on, & saw through the VR Tech is what we got and we’re absolutely delighted...🥰
Once we had paid the deposit we just sat back and THI took care of everything else including Planning Application and Construction.
We had one delay. but that was communicated at the last minute due to the early winter inclement weather and rescheduled to a month later.
Right on time, THI construction team turned up, discussed the demolition, construction process and timeline of the various activities.
Day 1 and they completed removal of the old roof and window structure and installation of the new framework, even with the cold and wet conditions of January.
Day 2 saw the installation of the Double Glazed Units, initial Roof Frames / Batons and Skylight installation. Even in the rain and sleet the job progress never stopped.
Day 3 and the External SuperLite Roof Shingles, Lead Flashing, Guttering and Final Trim were completed along with internal Electrics, Light Fittings, and initial insulation and plastering.
Day 4 and the job was done. LED Down-lights, switches and plastering complete…just plaster to dry before decorations could commence.
Throughout the installation, the Quality Manager visited at various stages to ensure work was being completed to the highest standard and discussed any of our concerns and feedback. A couple of small issues were noted but rectified the very next days without question.
The Construction Team were courteous, on time, kept the workplace in impeccable condition and made sure everything was tidy at the end of the day. Their workmanship was without reproach and the final product and finish is superb.🤩
Not only does our new ‘Garden Room’ look AWESOME, with the Anthracite Exterior and White Interior Framing, but is now our ‘room of choice’. It is ‘fully liveable ’without heating or ventilation, on sunny as well as cold and wintery days, with NO wind or rain noise to disturb our moments of relaxation in paradise.
Do not hesitate, if you want a quality job, completed on time, to the highest standard of product and workmanship then Tyneside Home Improvements has to be your choice.😀

Wow where do I start with all this ......? I guess it's the beginning. Well it all first started when we first got our windows and doors installed which was fine until a few years in and things started to creep up with faults .

I got incontact with my finance company which was Novuna who I was advised to get in contact with and they looked in to my issues and at the end they told us about Tyneside home improvements .

Novuna stated it would be between 7 to 10 days and they will be in contact . When I put the phone down with in 15 to 20 minutes tyneside was incontact and said that we will have someone come out to look at the work needed .

Then it all started ........ from the most polite friendly staff at the office to such great members of staff who turned up and I really have to give this gentleman a big shout out to .........

Paul ..... a lovely gentleman who came on time so polite well mannered who gave us tips to keep our windows and doors tip top that wouldn't cost a bomb to make sure they are ok and any questions asked to him he answered with no waffle with easy to understand responses .

I cannot recommend tyneside home improvements enough because when one company failed the came threw and fixed it and gave us faith there is good honest workmen and work women about to to contact about work and from now on any future work needed for our home we will be sure contact tyneside to be the trusted company we go to .

I was extremely impressed with the service provided by the whole Tyneside Home Improvements team, and with the Supalite roof they installed on my conservatory. They made the whole process easy and painless. Communication throughout the project was fast and informative from Administration staff and tradesmen alike. During the installation, all tradesmen were pleasant, helpful, clean and very efficient and effective, going out of their way to ensure that I was not disturbed in any way. They were very respectful of both me and my property and completed the installation in the agreed time. I am delighted with the new Supalite roof which has converted what was a cold and unwelcoming space into a warm, secure, light and bright fully usable extra room.

I had this company put me a conservatory roof on about eight year ago. I've had a little problem with the gutter at one corner on and off for a couple of years. Each time I rang they were no problem and sent someone to sort it, I've just had it redone and hopefully will be sorted. Great service both on the phone and fixing the problem, the lad was spot on came on time and had it done within a hour. It's the only problem I've had with the new roof and I have and still will recommend them! Thank you 👍

From start to finish the whole process was very smooth . We were contacted regularly with updates and to see if we were happy with the work . All the workers who came were friendly and talked us through everything . We are really pleased with our new conversion and would definitely use these in the future.

When we approached THI we knew exactly what we wanted. Working with the team to see our dream become reality was amazing! Each team of lads were friendly, efficient and tidied up after themselves. I've never known construction to be such a breeze!

Communications was very clear and Charlotte always made sure to chase any queries we had.

We're so happy with the build and it's become the main hang out spot in the house! We're south facing so we get sun all day, can't wait to have the doors wide open in the summer.

THI were commissioned for our orangery.
It was a reasonably big and complicated project and therefore quite costly.
At the point of sale, we were advised the project would take 6-8 weeks to build, commencing mid July 2025, however, the build was delayed by them until September 2025, and in the end, took until the beginning of December to complete, due to a few issues, getting the internal labour to line up, ie, getting the plaster, electrician and plumber lined up to complete works to schedule.
However with it now complete that is in the past ! Without the delays would have been five stars.
All of the workmen that came were superb - most specifically the builders, Kenny and his labourer, fitters, plasters and plumber. Anthony in the office is approachable and made our experience more positive than it may otherwise have been, but his hands seemed to be tied, Adam, was an absolute gem, sorting the schedules and reassuring us.
We are very pleased with the end product, the work carried out is high end and second to none, despite a few delays along the way, the result is a beautiful, light-filled orangery that perfectly complements our home, ideal for entertaining, relaxing, and taking in the view.

We were that impressed with the previous works to build our orangery, we had THI back to replace 3 windows in the front of the house. From ordering to fitting it was fast and efficient. Micheal came to quote intially and gave us a great price we couldnt refuse.
The fitters Kev and his son Lewis are credit to the company, Kevs initial advice when choosing the windows was invaluble, thankyou Kev. Kev and Lewis were clean and tidy and the widows were done in no time. We are please with the quality of the windows and the improvement to house, not just the asthetic improvement outside but the insulation of the windows make to the house!

Really pleased I chose Tyneside Home Improvements to replace my old windows they did a great job and the acoustic glass they fitted has made a big difference to the traffic noise in the property

THI made a great job of our extension 6 years ago and we are still enjoying the massive improvement to our home. What's more, the after sales service has been second to none. Any issues have been dealt with promptly by lovely people and it gives great confidence in a company if they look after you after the event. I'm very impressed with the reception staff and the tradesmen and have recommended this company to family and friends

We initially went through Alpine with Ian and his son Oliver. These guys are fantastic especially with the VR experience showing what the reality can look like. THI done the build to a very high standard. There were a few hiccups during build but all these were resolved and rectified. The price was the price no silly add ons. All in all it’s made a huge difference in our dark home to now a fantastic family hangout, kitchen and an extra bedroom. The light now is unbelievable must be seen to be believed.
