TripAdvisor has no integrity. I reported an obviously fake malicious review of our business (that also recommended a competitor) and TripAdvisor refused to remove it sending me a feeble automated response which clearly showed that hadn't spent any time at all checking the review.

Recently spent 2 nights at the Seventh Street Motel in Mildura. The room was comfortable, clean and located very close to the CBD and the river.

We booked our Europe holiday way back early Feb 2020 and fully paid since the tour was cancelled and finally after much delay Trip A Deal finally refunded the money deducting modest $250 dollars. We will of course book our holiday through Trip A Deal

We booked a “ Barron River Half-Day White Water Rafting from Cairns” experience through Trip Advisor owned Viator and received a full confirmation and tickets on email. On the day of the experience we found out that the service provider never got a request from Viator and could not accommodate us as they were all booked out. I called Viator and they said their system may not have been synced with the service provider’s system and there is nothing they could do except issuing a refund. Seriously?! For such an establishment tour organiser, such a juvenile response and no accountability for system failure? I was hoping for a bit more accountability and compensation for ruining a day of my trip. We have booked through Viator and Trip Adviser on several occasions but will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. Disappointed!

They will not post reviews that involve a disagreement with internal policies of a business even though those policies affect customers who enter premises. That is like saying you are prohibited from writing any kind of negative experience you had with a business to alert others of this experience.

For example, while it may be helpful for a traveller to know that you did not receive a refund for your cancellation, it is unfair to a business to be rated negatively based solely on their adherence to a policy."

Thanks AATKings Darwin Jumping crocodile tour was great. Driver was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Great Park. Excellent COVIDSafe rules. Very clean toilet and showers. Iluka it’s self is quite with nothing much of interest. Recommend this park if you are passing for a short stay.

I will never again book accommodation through Tripadvisor! They have never responded to numerous emails I sent to them about the cancellations I had to make to my London accommodation (2 sites) due to COVID-19. I cannot even leave my home country due to COVID-19, let alone travel to London, yet Tripadvisor would not communicate with me when I asked if I can have my accommodation deposits refunded. NOT HAPPY!

Has been a great source of info although one of the problems I've found is that the mostly highly rated or prominent restaurants are those that tend to be 'tourist traps'. Would be great if their algos could give more prominence to local restaurants that aren't flooded with tourists.

TripAdvisor only publish pretty much positive reviews. They won’t publish honest truths about things citing it doesn’t meet their criteria.
I don’t trust their reviews anymore as if negative things have happened they refuse to punish the review when the facts are clear. Waste of time using them

I wrote an honest review about an experience my partner and I had at an restaurant establishment on TripAdvisor and the company shot down my review saying it was not going to publish my review as it was not a substantial experience. It WAS our experience. So I’ve deleted the app and want nothing to do with their garbage if they can’t accept that an experience is an experience and it was no different to any of the other one-starred negative reviews other people had of the place.

I will keep my review simple , trying to do it on google without success

Shame we are all on a sad journey at present with covid 19 but gyms will open soon

Very useful if you're planning your vacations or even a day trip

Will never use TripAdvisor or Viator again. They seem to be stuck in the dark ages charging their own cancellation fees regardless of what the supplier is actually doing. There are far too many online travel companies out there that don't charge change or cancellation fees to bother wasting time or money booking through TripAdvisor.

Edit: Typical, only willing to do the right thing when there's a negative review. I booked the tour through Tripadvisor. Nowhere in the booking did it indicate that the booking was actually being funneled through Viator. Other large online travel sites are far more transparent and accommodating.

What an amazing experience. 12 of us went after my daughters wedding. From the minute we arrived we were looked after by all the amazing staff. The incredible game drives. The wonderful food. The smell of fresh baked muffins I. The morning. Amazing. What a special time. We will hold on to these wonderful memories. Can’t wait to visit again

your web site does not verified user and as a consequence it becomes a tool for competitors/haters/stalkers/delinquents/mob.
you should consider in listen to both parties
you shouldn't allow the uploading of photos with business information
you should not allow insults or the use of despicable not constructive feedback
there are multiple scams happening on a daily base using your web site as a blackmail
when we provide info on a scammer you just knock it down by saying that the reviewer can write what ever he wants about anything!
your staff should get some training
anybody can open multiple pages of the same venue to just do whatever they want with it and you don't even check on that

I always check in with TripAdvisor before making a decision, from booking accommodations, things to do, etc...

Many useful tips and recommendations from other travellers. They have saved me from many unnecessary inconveniences when visiting foreign places, such as how to avoid long queue when visiting a popular attraction.

If law is applied, Tripadvisor would be dragged into court for false advertising. Their indexed Search results on Google show bait low prices for hotels and the price suddenly jumps significantly when you click the linked pages. I have a link for a hotel showing a price of $147 per night for a particular hotel but when I click on the link, it sets the price at $205.. This just made me decide to stay clear from that website.. If they publish false and bait advertising, then I would question the authenticity of their reviews and ratings.. I decided to book through the hotel itself direct which turns out to be cheaper than Tripadvisor anyway.

TripAdvisor is a valuable tool for travelers to pick up info on destinations, accommodation, eats joints yada.
However I find it quite difficult to use at times - particularly when I write a review of something not already listed. TripAdvisor's guidelines for listing a new place I find hard to follow - they seldom work.
It is also frustrating being unable to communicate easily with staff - for instance a recent review of CHANGI AIRPORT was rejected - the reasons given didn't make sense (most seemed stock responses which didn't really apply to this case) and I could not talk to anyone about how I could rectify my efforts.
I sometimes suspect positive reviews are written by people with a vested interest in the place looking good - although I know TA does a lot of work trying to minimize this.
Many reviews seen to come from people who self-aggrandize their fabulous taste - they chose this place and so OF COURSE it's excellent.
Others seem to simply fire in reviews in order to rate highly on reviewer stats - 2 lines: "X was a great place - we found the food scrumptious and the service excellent." - doesn't cut it. Perhaps TA should reject reviews less than a certain length.

There being millions of opportunities for travel, accommodation, food etc.etc. it is very useful to be able to research the various possibilities before spending hard earned money.
