I just rang Topdown Trading today (0208 804 8818) and spoke to a lady who sounded Eastern European. Before placing an order, I asked if it was possible to pay on delivery because I'd read quite a few negative reviews online about orders not being delivered. She said that's not how they operate, which I understand, but then she laughed and said if I wasn't happy, I should look for another company.

I then asked if, if I placed an order, it would definitely be delivered. Instead of reassuring a potential customer, she got upset and told me to find another company. I also mentioned that I'd probably pay by credit card for buyer protection in case anything went wrong. After that, she became quite defensive and pushy.

I wasn't trying to be difficult, I was simply asking genuine questions before spending my money. As someone who works in customer service myself, I felt the conversation could have been handled much better. I haven't even made a purchase yet, but unfortunately this first impression has put me off ordering. I think the representative could benefit from some customer service training as she seemed to push away a genuine potential customer instead of helping build confidence.

I placed my order on July 6 and paid a significant amount of money. By July 10, I still hadn't received any updates or shipping confirmation, so I sent an email. No one replied.
On July 15, after waiting several more days without any response, I called customer service. I was told that my order would be shipped. However, by July 17, there were still no updates, no tracking information, and no communication whatsoever.
Today I called again and was told that someone from the company would call me back. Once again, no one called, and my emails continue to be ignored.
At this point, I have neither my clothes nor my money. Based on my experience, the lack of communication and customer service is completely unacceptable. You can decide for yourselves whether this company is trustworthy, but I would be very cautious before ordering from them. If this issue is not resolved immediately, I will be contacting my bank to initiate a chargeback and recover my money.

Terrible communication!!!! Very upset with this company, upon good reviews & word of mouth we jumped out & purchased a pallet of M&S stock. After over 2 weeks of being told delivery would be on a certain days, the days rolled around, still nothing. I was told each time it would be on a specific day & it never happened. I was told we are moving, it will be shipped. In the end I asked for a refund after nearly getting to the 3 week mark with no idea of when/if it would ever arrive. Finally we were moved over to Levant, who apologised & informed us they no longer have the pallets we wanted but he had an amazing pallet instead of top quality items, similar if not better than what we originally wanted (which was M&S hight street stock) & he could send it immediately. We reluctantly agreed. Upon arrival, there were significantly less items than we had ordered, with multiple unsellable items in high quantity. The stock we received must have been in their store rooms for 30+ years. Now we have no response from the company and out £1000s of pounds. Very disappointed & now no communication from them.

I am happy to say that this issue has now been fully resolved. The company addressed my concerns and reached a satisfactory solution.

I appreciate the efforts made to correct the situation and the professionalism shown throughout the resolution process. Because of this positive outcome, I have updated my review and rating accordingly.

I had an absolutely tragic experience, I bought it for the first time and I couldn't even imagine that instead of clothes you could get only tragic antiques, no one bought them even for 0.20 cents.
