Do NOT get the TJ Maxx credit card for the discount: You'll pay more in the long run!!!

TJ Maxx teller pressured me into getting their credit card. Immediately after, I attempted to pay the full amount early by bank transfer. The routing number was incorrect, but rather than providing notice and offering a grace period to process the payment with the correct routing number, TJ Maxx decided to just charge me a late fee and further interest on the balance -- which wouldn't have incurred had my early payment gone through -- until I logged in and found out *myself* that the initial payment wasn't processed. It seems they decided to *not* send me a notice in order to bide their time and allow that balance to incur interest to put you deeper into debt to them.

In other words, rather than care about their customers and help them continue to be good customers, TJ Maxx would rather make it more expensive for you to be their customer and harder for you to get out of being in debt to them. They'd rather keep charging you pennies for interest payments rather than thinking long-term on the value of a customer and making sure you had a good experience with them.

This was my first and last time buying anything from TJ Maxx, and I'm cancelling this awful credit card that their teller pressured me into signing up for, lured by a discount on my purchase. I've been an American Express Platinum Card holder for over two decades now, and they have EXCELLENT customer service and benefits that keep me using them, even though the annual fee increases, because they will work to make their customers happy and ensure that the value of their benefits are always greater than the cost of the fee. TJ Maxx needs to learn that investing in their customer service and in their employee training so that their employees care more about helping customers rather than screwing them over would be better for business in the long run.

I just received items that were not a very good imitation of the originals

I just received items that we advertised as Le creuset. I already have the originals at home the same colours but needed more as I saw they were resealable priced. When they came they looked a bit different so I compared to the originals and they were different colour and size but were advertised to be the exact same as the originals! Does it mean they sell counterfeit goods? I’m returning everything.

The items were shipped with no order…

The items were shipped with no order label and the items that I ordered were bigger than my actual size. Needed to return and Returns are not free you pay $10.95 for their labels. Ridiculous!
Very disappointed with this service!!!

The shipping is horrible

The shipping is horrible. They do not communicate about your package being late shipping, its shipped, nothing. It has been two weeks and I haven't heard anything.

Also, I worked for TJ Maxx in SoCAL and it was the worst place to work. They micromanage, pressure you to get people to open their credit card, the employee lounge and bathrooms were filthy. Disgusting. The store had a super weird vibe. I am so happy I don't work there anymore.

I love shopping the stores as a customer, in store but fix shipping.

Unfair Policy

Paid on-time for 12 consecutive months, made 2 elective payments that were returned from my bank and TJX closed my account.

Super Slow Delivery Service...Still Waiting On Some Items

Super slow, spotty delivery service. TJMaxx and their online stores uses Fed-ex SmartPost to deliver packages. Packages are shipped using Fed-ex, then the package is transferred to the US Post Office for delivery. Why this two-step method is used, I don't know. It increases the chance of lost packages and sometimes packages taking over a month to arrive. I've received packages from Marshalls/TJ Maxx within 2 weeks of my order but some have taken over a month. When I asked my post office, he said it is because of their Smart Post process--it depends when Fedex hands over the packages to the USPS. He told me that sometimes it can take a month or more to receive Smart Post packages--they arrive in crates.
I ordered items on 5/10/22 at Marshalls.com. I received part of the order in about 2 weeks. However, three items had not been delivered. It wasn't until today 6/24/22 that I finally got them, well over a month later.

Marshalls was kind enough to refund me when I spoke to them about the missing items on 6/23/22. Since there was no information on the missing package at the Fedex or USPS websites, I thought it was lost.

Their Customer Service phone line was closed by the time I got the package. (There's a 6 hour time difference from where I live with their EDT Customer Service), I emailed them to please reverse the refund and recharge me for the items, because I did receive them.

I'm still waiting for items I had ordered from TJ Maxx.com. Again, it's the same situation where packages start off under the Fedex, then get transferred to USPS. I had ordered several items at TJMaxx.com on 5/18/22. The items were to come in two packages. I never received any of them as of 6/24/22. When I looked up the tracking info at Fed-ex, I got the same "Pending" message from Fed-ex and "USPS Currently Awaiting Package" at USPS.com.

TJMaxx was kind enough to refund me when I told them I hadn't received any of the packages. So I do appreciate that, but I would have rather had the items I had ordered. If somehow they finally arrive, I'll definitely notify them and request that they reverse the refund.

I just wish TJ Maxx companies would use a different shipping method. I wouldn't mind paying a bit more for shipping if it would guarantee that I'd get my items sooner. I would think it would be easier to use one delivery service instead of two. I hope someday they can change their delivery method so customers can get their items faster. Right now it's a crap shoot--you might get your items in 2 weeks or it might be over a month.

I don't normally order on line

I don't normally order on line, but circumstances prevented me from getting out to the store. Ordered 11 items and expected a week to ten day wait. Surprised by three day delivery and no shipping charge. All items exactly as advertised. Good quality, excellent value. Couldn't be happier.

I was at the Har Mar Marshall store. My anniversary is coming up and I found a jumpsuit that I loved. Michelle Tate was so helpful. She helped with the zipper and I tried on 2 different sizes and she helped me decide.

TJX is the worst company I’ve ever…

TJX is the worst company I’ve ever encountered. I was led to understand that I would work with a team as an Admin. And usually as a temp, it’s common for ignorance and understanding the mitigating rank despite the fact there are some advantages. But when you lie to someone who in the back of their mind that has experience in training like I do, it just looks despicable to see. I was micromanaged my second day for the first four hours already and called out, humiliated while being trained by someone who was patient. I mention that because the first day nothing happened but getting the laptop set up… because that day I only got about an hour and who they left me with dismissed me early to probably do the same thing. I should have also that they really liked their time on the phone while I was open to any suggestions or a quick tips for the job ahead. There was no interest in that.
I thought the interactions were good, but this person suffered a major loss as well in their personal life which I believe compounded the situation of quick condemnation by telling me to just return the equipment. For one thing I’m not even an obligation of it because my agency takes care of that with a shipping label. Nothing was done professionally except for offering a little bit of help only to show nothing but intolerance. Even the most patient person in the world in theory would feel inclined to pray for this person which is an exaggerated claim. But deep resentment must be filtered and I will own up to the fact that I made a few errors… But it was my second day and there was no rundown or any introductory program or so much is a training manual to go by in order to perform these unrealistic expectations from someone completely impatient, and in all intents and purposes… Vindictive.
Now my family is suffering, I may loose a lot of monetary and psychological means, but this person gets to get on with the day.
This company ought to be ashamed of themselves!

Had the WORST experience with the TJX…

Had the WORST experience with the TJX Mastercard! Was trying to pay 1k for my bill online, was charged 10k instead in error. Mastercard refused to issue me a check for my credit balance on the account after a bogus excuse that the issuance of my check was vetoed by “upper management.” Had to file a dispute through my bank. So much wasted time and so much headache over their mistake and unprofessionalism.

I was in Boston helping my son set up…

I was in Boston helping my son set up his new apartment and we went into the TJMaxx and was so delighted with their staff. We purchased a few pieces of furniture and they were sooooo helpful and pleasant! Jerry,Eric, and Shalini made everything so easy for us they even helped get everything in our car. The customer service we received was such a breath of fresh air! I love TJMaxx!!!!

Terrible stuff and terible costumer services

I went to tk maxx edinburgh st andrews square,i was racist from member of stuff,i've complained and there is cameras there,they said that the will vet in touch with me but nobody give my case any intersting.
I decide to share my experience and will never buy things from tk maxx again

I hardly ever go to stores like TJ…

I hardly ever go to stores like TJ Maxx, But today I'm glad I did. Joseph the manager was very helpful very respectful and explained a lot about the credit cards and how they work for target and now the other stores they are affiliated with. Was also very nice and able to help me get this hanging chair to the front door and help me load it in my truck, I will go to this TJ Maxx store if I ever need anything again strictly because of Joseph as of Joseph and Ellen V. Again very respectful very helpful and and can't think them enough for their kindness. Phoenix Arizona arrowhead mall area

While traveling to Fayetteville, AR, we usually stop. Sunday, day after Christmas was busy. I can't remember seeing the check out line so long. We just used the restrooms and didn't look around much. Normal visit.

It’s not worth the time and frustration.

I ordered from TJ Maxx online even though I promised myself that I would never do it again. I regret going back on my promise. Nothing has changed. I ordered 12 items. They sent me a confirmation email right away. Several days later they emailed me to tell me an item had been cancelled. That was the only item I really wanted but to get free shipping you had to order over $89 in merchandise. It took over 2 weeks for my items to arrive on 3 different days.
Long story short they sent me an item that had been used and returned. They repackaged it as new. The directions on the facial wand that I ordered said to remove the clear plastic film before charging because charging with the film on it proposed a risk. Well there was no clear film on my facial wand. After charging; I tried to turn it on. After several repeated tries it came on but it wouldn’t shut off. I repeatedly tried to press the button to turn it off and finally it shut off. I realized that the item was defective and had been returned. TJ Maxx charges $10.99 for returned items. The item cost $24.99. So I have to pay to return a used, defective item. This time I will keep my promise and NEVER order from them again. What a rip off!!
