Serious Problems With Online Operations & Fulfillment
Ordering online there is just not worth it anymore. In the past year, at least half of my orders were unfulfilled because of errors in their stock count, the wrong items were delivered or only partial orders fulfilled, OR they somehow lose your rewards credit (after you checked out with it they show a shipping update WITHOUT the rewards credit). Something serious is going on at their fulfillment centers & the online accounting. If you choose to shop online there, watch your account & credit cards like a hawk because chances are pretty high that something is going to get messed up.
Online ordering
Tjmaxx and Marshalls use a company called Ontrac for delivering online orders. Packages are left unsecured by Ontrac. Tracking details are unavailable, alerts or notifications are absent. It is impossible for customers to know when to expect their packages. This ongoing issue was
brought to the attention of customer service but it has been ignored. Corporate office has failed to take any action to ensure that customers can continue to shop with ease. Most important the packages have an order slip with personal information like partial credit card number, address, phone number and name making it easy for customers to become victims of crimes and identity theft.

After years of spending god knows how much at this store I had a terrible experience at the Harbor Town TJ Maxx in Fort Lauderdale. I just moved and bought a handful of items thinking they would go with an entire aesthetic that wound up not being a great fit. I knew I didn’t have the receipt and was fine accepting store credit. Also this purchase occurred less than 30 days before the return. I mean, I knew I was going to go back at some point in the next two weeks again and spend how ever much I felt like, so not a big deal. I just didn’t want to get stuck with merchandise that wasn’t great with our new home. Instead I was met with a super rude cashier who just stared at me when I said I didn’t have the receipt. So I, being an avid shopper said, ok, I already told you I don’t have the receipt so can you please process the return. Again, she walked around, I couldn’t tell if something was wrong mentally with her or she was mad at me- again, it’s not her money, just process the refund. All tags were intact- not one thing had been used. It was ludicrous. She called over a manager- he didn’t really do anything and finally after walking back and forth and talking to herself she gave me a store credit card which was fine with me. The entire experience was so uncomfortable- honestly, I may just spend the card and not go back, ever. It was just impolite. Again, maybe something was wrong with her but she represents your store and made years of buying and enjoyment frustrating. I believe it was register 6 around 1:15’ish on 4/28.

A sales associate at the Kettering store was annoyed that she had to find information about the item in order for me to make a return. When I told her that I had found another shirt in the store in a different color....she hollered "I heard you"
I said," this shirt might have the same stock number." She spoke again and said, "I heard you"
I asked her why was she speaking to me in that tone.
I told her that I spend a lot of money in TJMaxx and no one will speak to me ina disrespectful tone.
I asked for the manager of the store and he listened to my concern about the associate speaking to me in a disrespectful tone.
Kris (manager) completed my return and put the return amount back on my Visa card.
Kris stated that words were said between the associate and myself. As I was leaving the counter, I heard him say that no one can speak to his associate like I did, yet she was the one speaking in a disrespectful tone.
Kris took her word about what was said in the conversation. He was not present when she was looking up a number on a phone.
I am so bothered by how I was treated in TJ Maxx. I will not return to the store ever again. I am a senior citizen and I was so bothered by her tone and how the situation went "left" so quickly.

On monday 03-25-24 I was in tjmaxx at skylake NMB, in the jewerly dept and ask to the lady (suppossed to be Di as another cashier said when I asked for her name). She was rude. She always treats customers rude!! I had a question about a ring and she said "I already tell you, if you dont understand I dont know". Wow!! Thats not a polite way to treat anybody! I see TJMaxx is back at it again with the use of "delay" in all of their orders. First it was Covid to blame and now it is the weather. Well so far the only bad weather I have seen in the areas of their distribution sites is rain. Somehow Dillards, Macy's and numerous other stores are able to ship in a timely manner even with delays and these folks say 15 days, maybe more. Now the stuff I want is sold out and there is a high chance my order gets cancelled because they can't fulfill them. I should have known better that they couldn't get it together. Never again!

I love the TJX companies, which includes TJ Maxx, Marshalls and others. I often purchase online and the site usually has many more expensive items than they offer in store, for instance, Golden Goose men's sneakers, Frye (made in Mexico) boots 👢, Vince, etc. They even have Gucci if you are desperate for attention 😳 😀.
I've heard you can return items of high value in store and they never ask to see the actual card you are getting the refund to. Thus it seems quite easy to rack up TJX reward points if you use that credit card for the initial purchase. Also, their online and in store systems are not synced and it is a bit cumbersome to return online items in store. Due to this, returns go unrecognized, points are not deducted, and reward certificates are given. This is a big loophole in their system.

I purchased items way back in July 2023 after 37 days the global logistics delivery stated items delivered but nothing teceived. i contacted tjx who agreed to replace items...after another 35 days ttracking from same delivery company stated delivered but again nothing. Tjx insist their delivery company is legit but somebody somewhere has 2 lots of my delivery! promised refund in October still nothing....

Update***. It turns out the shipping company OnTrack said my items were delivered. The tracking shows delivered but when I looked on my home camera at the time they said it was delivered - nobody came. After I explained all that to TJMaxx they were quick to issue a refund.

Unfair treatment
Tried to pay for a sweater with price tag of £9.99, was told it has wrong price tag from different department, was asked for £19.99. I asked for an explanation and the cashier who was also duty manager (the same cashier came to talk to me when I asked another member of staff to call the manager for me) indirectly accused me that I changed the price tag even the price tag was under the security tag and could not be removed by customer. It was obvious that one of the staff made a mistake by putting the wrong tag on the item, but the manager accused the customer for their failure. This kind of treatment is absolutely disgusting and unfair. Also, so many of the RRPs on diffetent items have been inflated to boost the sale. BEWARE

I have attempted to make a return at the TJ max in north port florida 3x now. It doesn’t matter if it’s weekend, during the week am or pm there is always a line with at least 20-30 people on it with 2-3 cashiers. The line wrapped around 2x.i have a simple return but refuse to waste my limited time waiting on a line with everyone else that are making purchases. I do not have a local store near me so I have to travel 30 minutes to get there. Once or twice I get maybe I am having bad timing or lick but it’s all the time. Hire more employees if this is how busy your store is or open self check out or better yet have a cashier that does only refunds and if they are not busy can take purchasers as available. It’s crazy to make someone who is unsatisfied with their purchase wait 30 or more for a simple return. Makes me want to never shop there again if this

I bought a plastic bottle on Wed. (11/29/2023), but the hanger was broken on the first day I used it.
Went to the store asking for return on Fri. (12/01/2023). A senior cashier lady asked for receipt, and insisted that no return without receipt or a price tag (to prove the item was bought from TJMaxx). She even said this bottle might not be sold at the store. I offered to find the same bottle at the store, but she refused.
Then she asked her manager, who said the same thing (receipt or price tag) at first. I explained that price tag was removed before first use and couldn't find receipt.
Manager was very rude, said I couldn't understand her, kept interrupting me, and even once asked me not to talk. I had to try my best to calm down.
Eventually I found a same bottle at the store proving it was bought right there. Finally got refund, but was really angry with their attitude and rude behaviors.
Stay away from TJX Credit
Be very careful about using the TJX credit card. They typically come with a very short window to pay. Recently we were out of town for an extended period of time. The first was for my mother's funeral and the 2nd time a cruise. Both trips resulted in the payment being one day late. For relatively small purchases a $27 late fee was added and interest that would amount to 43% annually were added to the bill. They refunded the late fee the first time but not the interest. The 2nd time they refused. We closed the account and will just use a normal credit card in the future.

It's a treasure hunt and I love to dig through the racks and shelves to find things I didn't know I needed. Not all TJX locations are the same but they all have treasures, brands and amazing prices. They all also have unhelpful/unhappy employees, disorganization and mess.

I normally don’t leave reviews unless somethings going on my heart to do so I went to TJ Maxx to do a little shopping. I must say my experience was extremely great. Everyone was kind and friendly. It was really clean. Bathrooms were up-to go using standard. I felt welcome, greeted with kindness and a lady even offered to help carry my stuff out. Thank you all for your care. I had a good shopping experience.

The shoes last a pretty long time despite the prices being marked down.
The sweaters are always solid. A lot of my sweaters I've purchased through TJX companies, past the 5-year mark.
Online Experience:
Pros: More variety. You'll see pricier items you usually don't see at your regular Marshalls.
When you find things you like, I'd make sure to check for reviews on other websites. The prices are always enticing, but nobody wants a pair of shoes that feel like a snake wrapping around your feet.
Once I found clothes I liked (and these were the pricier items I couldn't find at my go-to store), I placed an order. You receive a shipping notice about 5-6 days after, so don't panic like me haha. Then, the order comes in about 7 days after that.
