My little friend arrived safe and sound and the spider shop couldnt have been more helpful! Will deffo only buy from here in the future!

I bought some millis from The Spider Shop at an expo (ivory and smokey oaks). I did not realize they were wild caught - there were no signs up stating such.

Shortly after I got home the ivories passed away.
I emailed them and was told it was probably my husbandry - with them blaming the coconut fiber in their substrate mix. They also freely offered to send me replacements which I was grateful for.

I changed things up despite countless breeder websites that I looked up saying coconut fiber is fine.

Well the replacements didn't make it either. I have one hanging on and the others are all gone. I'm gutted again. I emailed them to say hey just so you know it might be worth looking into and I was informed "I still maintain keeping these things on coco fibre is very bad idea".

"These things" are living beings. They are millipedes. The dismissive language for their existence, and unethical practice of using wild caught (especially without labels) is making me leave a poor review.
Wild caughts are renowned for having parasites, even without the ethical dilemma of taking living beings out of their homes.

My oaks have survived so far, and the shop did try to replace the millipedes at first so I am reluctantly providing 2 stars but I will be avoiding this shop from this point forward.

It was a costly mistake not only for myself but also the millipedes I purchased. I know now to look up these things online before buying in person.

Just wanted to put down a buyer beware for those thinking of adding to their family.

I have dealt with the Spidershop on a few occasions now firstly to get my jumping spider and recently to get my first spiderlings set which will arrive arrive next week. I have never dealt with a company so helpful and so passionate about their jobs. I am new to the tarantula world and they have made everything so helpful and easy for me. This will always be my company to go to for any spiders or mantis orders as they are fantastic.

I was referred to The Spider Shop due to having subpar quality springtails delivered from other online retailers. Honestly, the packaging was great and the springtails arrived on suitable substrate in suitable containers (not flimsy square packaging). The springtails were batch numbered and very active. Really impressed. Thank you!

Very well priced shop for spiders and their equiptment. Ordered a Mexican flaming leg spiderling; it arrived alive and well and was well packaged to ensure its safety. Would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a new tarantula.

Fantastic service, Brachypelma Harmorii arrived in great condition and well packaged. The offer for discreet packaging is also very useful for this website. I definitely recommend this as the best spider shop.

I received my order and was very happy with how it came spiders weren’t able to roll around in the boxes and it was very secure other than the heat pack was cold which was okay for me because they traveled from wales to Grimsby so I expected it to be a bit cold they all came alive no doa so I give the packaging a 5 star order was easy to place and I didn’t have any issues with it the company was very good at responding to my questions and issues for me at least they have great customer service since when I had a small issue with my order when it arrived it got sorted in under a week and I’m expecting the missing tarantula to arrive today so other than the fact I didn’t get notified before hr package was sent out about spiders I order not being in stock I love the ones I have and they are all healthy which is exactly why I will be ordering from them again

Fantastic company. If you are looking at keeping T’s then I recommend the spider shop. Good selection and good communication and decent prices.

I orded a Mexican red knee as well as 3 spiderlings along with a hide and food. All T’s arrived well packed and insulated and all are healthy and alert. When unpacking I saw they forgot to pack some micro crickets, so dropped them a email and got a response 30 minutes later apologising and said they would send me my missing crickets out for delivery.

Can’t fault them. I’ll be back for future additions.

I received my initial order on 02/02, great packaging and neatly put together. I noticed one item was missing from the bulk order and emailed them to query it, they replied within a couple hours and dispatched my missing item to go out that night, which I have received today 03/02. Great service and people.

I bought the GBB starter pack and I have to say I’m over the moon! I have a lovely little juvenile T in great health who is happy with its little enclosure!

The service was top notch making sure that the T was handled with care on its travels and made sure the weather was right for transportation! They made sure I was up to date along the way. I will be using these guys again for all my tarantula needs.

Never order online before. I have never bought a tarantula on the internet, I have bought snakes this way though and only once.

The Spider Shop has flawless communication and delivery skills. The T arrived today as I could not take delivery tomorrow and made that clear and the guys at the shop delivered regardless. I am so impressed with this company.

I wanted a brazilian black, ended up getting red knee. Little guy turned up 5cm packed well and healthy with the crickets. Absolutely reasonable prices both for T and delivery.

Recently bought 2 death feigning beetles from here. Very helpful and approachable. They arrived well packed and prompt. Very professional and friendly company. Will use them again in future.

Iv contacted use on outlook 3times and still no response. Although I just wanna know when it comes to my house. Iv been wanting a jumping spider for a while and I love ur websites and the spiders you own.

I can not rate this company high enough. Their customer service is fantastic, communication is 2nd to none, knowledge of their products is amazing and sending/delivery details are always up to date. And I will definitely carry on using this company for the next millennia. Yes they are that good!

Shipping was delayed without any info (I checked carefully and read all the different situations with live food/equipment etc), some items were missing, and there was zero communication. Nothing about shipping or confirmation of purchase, and absolutely no response to any of my emails. Such a shame because they seem like such considerate people on social media.

I understand things get really busy but no response at all despite seeing social media posts and emails about new stock is really frustrating.

What did arrive was well packaged, including a heathy T and live food.

Edit in response to the comment: of course I checked my spam folder. At the time I also tried calling during business hours and got no response. I appreciate you getting back to me on here but it’s surprising given how many times I have tried to reach you before.

Animals are always very well packed and in good health. Customer service is amazing and everyone I’ve dealt with has been brilliant.
Great email communications from them regarding orders/deliveries and their latest availability.

I have dealt with these guys a few times now both on the phone and online with orders. I personally have not had issues with them, however, I can see why people would have issues. When ordering online you are given a date you would like to recieve your T(s) or other invertebrate(s), this does not reflect the day you will actually receive them! If you bare this in mind the service they provide is actually really good. I was relatively new to keeping a GGB juvenile T (was a gift from a friend) with no experience or prior knowledge of keeping a Ts, I panicked with the first molt (red mouth not shed - silly now I reflect back) and called these guys instantly there was immediate support from them. The T wasn't even from them and they were uber supportive. Since then my collection has grown considerably, some from these guys some from else where. Last lot came a week or two ago with heated packaging at no extra cost. I personally would recommend these guys just bare in mind the packaging dates may differ from what you want. Simple solution would be to order and want your expected date to be perhaps 4-5 days after the initial order date.

Absolute scammers. Spoke to them on the phone and confirmed prices of everything including shipping. Ordered on their site, checking prices of everything, including shipping. Told them exactly where it was being shipped to and they said nothing about additional charges. Until they got my money, then their whole tune changed. Contacted me almost a week later saying it wasnt enough and they wanted more. Somehow, DPD can deliver a 4ft fishtank from Blackburn for £9, but TSS want double that for a bit of cork. STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS.

Edit: For those seeing the reply from TSS below. I spoke to them on the phone and specifically asked these questions, knowing full well that some people have problems shipping things to NI. I was assured, then reassured, and reassured again that there would be no issues and everything would be smooth. Until they got my money. Then the problems started within minutes of my money transferring. Call me paranoid, but if the courier is the actual problem, how come im told nothing about it on the phone, I recieve no emails telling me about it, and I hear nothing about it until minutes after they have my money? There are coincidences, and then theres treating your customers like utter fools that were born yesterday.

Absolutely brilliant service and help. All the little guys came safe and sound, and as a matter of fact, the most safe I've ever known. Not one dead or unhealthy specimen in the orders I've made sore far. got quite a lot from them as well. Thanks guys!!
