I've placed a number of orders with them and they've always been fantastic, everything is always well packaged with ecological materials and their pricing is usually on point or lower than elsewhere. I'm honestly disappointed if they don't have something I want and need to find it elsewhere. Even the corkbark I've ordered from there has been fantastic (every other experience I've had ordering it online has been thick, flat slabs of bark I've had to carve down to curves, whereas from TSS it's lovely tubes with no filler, just the bark and very cheap at that).

The only minor niggle I've had is if you order small (non-living) things from them alongside a large order it's loose in a large box and given the packing peanuts can be a nightmare to find.

This morning, I received my second order from The Spidershop and I have to say that on both occasions, I was met with fantastic customer service. It's worth mentioning that at the time of my order, it was peak for the parcel network... Add to that the pandemic and it makes things very difficult to do business. Still, these guys were brilliant at keeping me informed on both my orders and when making my mystery box, took my needs into consideration and sent some beautiful spiders. Very happy to say that I will be a loyal customer to a good solid seller.

I purchased the cylindrical terrarium for my jewel orchids and tropical plantlets. I used perforated cling film to cover the terrarium instead of using the existing cover because I needed to rig LED grow lights over it. I'm actually arachnophobic so visiting the site was a tense experience but I couldn't find a similar setup sold within the UK. I could get a paludarium but there's always the anxiety that it would shatter during transport and I honestly do not have the space for it for now. I do wish that they would have a taller setup of at least 60-90cm for my other exotic plants but I'm really happy with the one I've got. I really had to scour the internet for this and they really should consider reaching out to the plant hobbyists. Delivery was no fuss however I can't comment on livestock and live food delivery. Highly recommended.

Where can I start, this company is amazing never had any issues, i brought a 30 pound mystery box of gimps and ended up with easy over 100 pound worth of tatanchulas. m.balfouri 5-7 cm pink bird eater 5-7 gbb and more. So happy.

I have history going on a year with The spider shop, my first orders had small communication hitches, but were ironed out very quickly, my second order had no issues, save the weather being an issue (February is a terrible time for any kind of live shipping in the UK), but communication was always bang on, updated every step of the way. My latest orders were no different. All orders have been packaged with great care with upmost put into making it safe for the spiders in transit. I can give 5 stars being i have had no negatives, even in these pandemic times. A great and secure company to order through. I have no doubt if theirs any issues they'd be more than willing to assist.

Fantastic service. Everything arrived as ordered, when I expected it, and beautifully packed - and I was well impressed they got my Damon medius neatly into the tub with all his bits and pieces intact!

Found these guys when looking for Damon Meduis. Now has become my go to shop. One of the best online uk shops for true spiders in my opinion! Very reasonably priced, great choice of inverts as well as tarantulas, no messing, any issues sorted and a very friendly and helpful bunch people, I can not rate them highly enough, plus if your looking for a laugh, check out some of the descriptions on some of the animals.

This was the first time i’ve ever ordered spiders (or any animal) online so wasn’t exactly confident that it was going to work. After the box arrived with a large hole in it, likely due to the couriers, i was quite worried about the spiders, especially considering the cold UK weather this time of year. Despite this, the 3 spiders i ordered (my first spiderlings kit) came very alive and quite active. They were packed safely and the heat pack was still warm when it had arrived. Good Delivery, ordered Wednesday late night for Friday morning arrival. Will definitely purchase from here again if buying any more.

This is my 4th order over the last 6 months from The Spider Shop and once again the service is 10 out of 10. I phone up being a pain every time and they sort me out every time. This time I bought a Hylius Diardi jumping spider and "Fidget" arrived happy and healthy and "a large brightly coloured female" as I requested. If I could give more than 5 stars I absolutely would.

Ordered the "my first spiderlings" box and was amazed with everything I got .I recieved a Tlitocatl albopilosus, a Lasiodora klugi and a Nhandu chromatus. They came with 3 spiderling tubs, a mini coco block (which filled all three set ups and I have loads left over), 3 hides, 3 bowls, water pipette and micro crickets plus some stickers. Great communication, packaged well with packing peanut & heat pack and arrived on time. All 3 slings in great condition and crickets too. Cant wait to order again.

I now deleted any negative feedback I left for the Spider shop. They have been in contact and that is great they after all a great company to order inverts from fotcthe first time keeper to the more experienced keeper they are full of knowledge and expertise to the first time keeper of any inverts and they all so give knowledge on how to keep inverts there website is always for full stock and full of knowledge before you order when ordering they always give you a date which convenient for you and they will always be my first choice when ordering any inverts for equipment or an thing else first class company for choice offer in g plus the delivery also give you a time to receive your delivery so just make arrongments to be to receive your order so convenient for you great communication and great contact always just be patient and don't be negative . Always my first choice company to order from .

We ordered a millipede,some millipede substrate and some cork bark from these guys and we are so so impressed. It's arrived today (super quick delivery and great packing/packaging) and my 6yr old daughter loves it. Everything from ordering to delivery is spot on,can not fault the price or customer service either. Highly recommended and will be placing another order again soon.

I ordered live and equipment from The Spider shop everything arrived super well packaged as all ways they were out of stock on one thing but ended up sending me a more expensive alternative at their own expense with free postage. The lads here work very hard keeping everyone happy and I will always buy from them. Keep up the good work lads and ladies we appreciate it!

I've done some shopping with the spider shop uk recently and I have to say that I've had a really great experience with this shop. The staff are extremely helpful and considerate when shopping with them and I shop online and in short if every shopping experience was as easy as this, it would make your shopping experience a lot easier and more enjoyable every time.

EDIT: (8-9-20) I can confirm that this issue has now been resolved. I have received complimentary cork bark and artificial leaves which I greatly appreciate. I think my spiders will also appreciate the hides and web anchorage points I can now supply them. I no longer have to worry about trying to find these items elsewhere. Thank you.

It really upsets me to have to write this as there were a lot of things I liked about this shop originally. This hobby has brought me a lot of happiness so to have the shop with what seems the widest range of spiders and equipment in the UK let me down consistently, is sad.

I really didn’t want to be the one to get my knickers in a twist over cork bark, but the cork bark was just the final straw of not looking after the customer (or my spiders' future health, for that matter). Before I go into the bad stuff, the good stuff is that the spiders are well-packed/padded and arrive healthy, hence the 3 stars.

I have ordered from this shop 4 times and every time either something I paid for had forgotten to be sent, or it has been suddenly out of stock. The first time something was forgotten, when I emailed about this the hygrometer was sent out to me immediately and arrived the next day; so far so good. However when some micro crickets I needed for my spiderlings were forgotten, initially I was given the option of either a refund or for it to be ‘popped in your next order.’ Seeing as it would cost me another £8.99 postage to make another order, and it wasn’t my fault in the first place that it was missed off originally, I found this a bit disrespectful that they wanted me to order from them again in order to get what I’d already paid for, when by this time I did not trust them. I explained that I really needed the micro crickets/ have no shops local to me selling them and they did thankfully send them out to me a few days later.

Any of these mishaps on its own is fine, human error, but the pattern is not fine. Related to the final straw, I have a big problem with things being listed on their site as not only ‘in-stock’ but so ‘fully-stocked’ that people can buy them in mass quantity, when they are not in-stock. I could understand if there were just a few left, shown on the website, and then they were suddenly out of stock. However, having no warning that they are approaching being out of stock is annoying. This happened with a bra-plast tub I’d ordered to house my crickets but also with the cork bark slices and cork bark tubes. They stated that they had a problem with the supplier regarding the latter, but my problem then is more that I wasn’t informed of this issue before they’d posted the package without the cork bark in, and wasn’t rang to be asked whether I wanted to wait one more day before my order was posted to wait for the cork bark (it is now back in stock the day after I got my order). I was given a refund but I now have no cork bark/climbing stuff for my aboreals that are coming next week from another shop. I have struggled to find the quantity or bark I need elsewhere, but I do not trust this shop any more to risk paying for the postage yet again, so I will have to continue my hunt elsewhere.

I am writing this review partly because of the taint they have put on the hobby for me and partly so that hopefully others will get better treatment/ be wary if this starts happening to them.
