Tried to purchase a digital Nintendo Switch code through them online. They took my money just fine but didn't deliver the code right away. Makes little sense to me given that it's a digital code, but it does say on their website that it could take up to 24 hours to process. Bizarre, so I get on their e-help and complain that I would have just visited a store to buy a card if I knew it wasn't going to arrive right away. The help person kindly offers me a refund, I accept, he tries to process, and then tells me it can't be refunded because it was already processed. Fast-forward 26 hours and I still don't have the code. I tried to get on e-help today, and despite it being during their hours of availability, I'm told after a minute that no help is available at this time. They should have just kept the name "Radio Shack".
Terrible customer service. Do not buy online. They’ll take you for a spin and won’t resolve shipping issues.

Manager would not provide curb side service until it suited him.He claimed that because I did not have cell phone to call when I was there, he wasn’t going to send out staff because there was only himself and one other.I have a very compromised immune system due to cancer and I had to go into the store because the 5 pm time did not work for me.To my shock there was two staff on and he was some place in the back.I will never shop on line or set foot in the store, even when the COVID is over.
My order was canceled two times. I called my bank and verified that there are no problems with my credit card and all information in the order was correct. Then I called the helpdesk and the agent said that the order was canceled because the item is out of stock. But I still see it available to be purchased online! so I decided to call the helpdesk again and another agent said to me that it's ok, it's available and the order was canceled because of some issue with my credit card and bank. So one of them lies me! Terrible service - they can't explain to me why my order was canceled twice.
I ordered two Nintendo Switch games online on black Friday. It has been two months and still waiting for it to be ship. I will probably not going to buy anything from the Source again.
I ordered a MacBook Air laptop for December 31st. It's January 25th and they don't know where my order is and cannot give me any information about it. I need this computer for an upcoming work presentation and now I don't have it... They will not give me a refund for it either so that I can buy a computer elsewhere. Very poor shipping. And poor customer service as, if I hadn't called them, would they have let me know my order is late???? Likely not!
Terrible customer service. I was on hold for 8 minutes. When my live chat began, I replied and was cut off. Then I was back on the waiting list for over 10 minutes.
Over 2 weeks ago I had a live chat and thought my problem was solved. It has not been. Their so called customer service is a waste of time!
Spent 3 hours trying to get item that showed in stock online into my cart then chatted with online support just for her to tell me that she has no knowledge of product. I don’t know what she thought I wanted to chat about. She transferred me to another agent that didn’t respond. What an absolute joke.
Worst experience with the customer service people on getting refund back for item not received. It's been 2months now. Bought studio3 online.

You might have seen my post below about 'The Source' below couple of weeks earlier sharing my opinion that we shouldn't buy anything from this company. Here's an update.
I got my laptop back from them without my data being recovered or my licensed software installed. They seem to have refurbished the battery as it only lasts for just over 2 hours. This is despite someone high ranking in that company trying to help me. Someone from their escalations department called me in a very unprofessional manner and told me that 2 hours of battery life was normal. He also offered me that they can try to recover my data but no guarantees. I have to bring the laptop back to them and pick it back up. I am so angry and apprehensive that I would rather throw the laptop away instead of going to one of their stores.
A lot of people from Rockcliffe-Smythe Comm Asso, Black Creek Alliance, Stockyards Residents and Eileen Bernice community groups responded to my post by offering various suggestions. I want to thank all of them. I have decided that I am not buying anything from this company in future and perhaps this will stay with you too that this company charges an arm and a leg for extended warranty but instead of taking care of warranted issues they cause further damage by unnecessarily wiping off your data and deleting your licensed software. I am sure that poor customer retention led to their bankruptcy in the US and its likely to happen in this country as well.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM 'THE SOURCE'
My laptop under warranty had issues with:
1. Battery 2. Flickering Screen and 3. Microphone.
Took it to store on 11/11/2020, explained all issues and was issued repair tag R104364.
Result 2 weeks later: Screen replaced, battery not replaced, Data wiped out without need, wiped out licensed software without need, lost family pictures and important documents.
Took it back to store issued, repair tag R104394 to replace battery, restore data & software and check microphone.
Result on X-Mas eve: Battery still works just over 2 hours, data & software still missing.
I called customer service to escalate, no one in escalations would take my call, no email address available for escalations dept., Someone named Colin called me back and left me a message to call him back . Called him several times today, he doesn't have voice mail and off for two days . So can't leave a message, hence this complaint. I would like to discuss how would you remedy the situation?

I would give 0 star if I could! I ordered an iPad from them on October 22,2020. The estimated delivery date is December 2, 2020. But it hasn't been shipped even now (Jan 10 2021).
Customer service was also very bad. I tried chatting with their agents online. One agent told me I wasn't the account holder without any verification and just cut me off right away. I connected with the same agent three times. She cut me off three times without any explanations. Then I called to complain about the experience. Was told that they needed to talk to the agent and call me back. Didn't call back ever. Moreover, they wouldn't refund me unless i could get my item and sent it back to them.
Feel like a fraud. Worst shopping experience ever!!!
I purchased a Beats studio 3 and when i got home i saw that one side of the adjustable part is a bit looser compare to the other side and so i called to make an exchange and they told me they won't exchange or return due to Covid! But when they handed me the product they didn't mention anything about their policy. So i ended up taking it to apple as they told me to and apple wasn't able to fix it and they wouldn't change it either due to the reason that was a 3rd party purchase. So literally i was stuck with it until i decided to take it to the store and complain about it. When i explained the entire situation the person that was working there today was very very rude and told me "let me see where you broke the product"!!! I was very shook and had to repeat myself in order for the person to believe me and obviously when i showed the Beats to them i'm thinking they finally did because i was able to return the product. In all my years i have never been treated this unprofessionally and rude to this extend!! Still shocked from the whole experience! I'm just sorry for the owner because the staff they hired are obviously ruining the business.
Unless you enjoy getting the runaround from their "Customer Service", never purchase at The Source. I know I will never make that mistake again.
I wanted so bad to "buy Canadian" and avoid Best Buy and Amazon, but I've learned my lesson.
Placed an order 12-1 to be picked up 12-4. On 12-8 I get an update stating that my order has been redirected because the store I picked cannot support curbside pick-up. Weird, I was at that same store a couple days prior for another pick up! But fine, the new store they chose is not too far so I'll just be patient. On 12-10 I receive an email that my order has shipped. I was supposed to received it a week before but it only now has shipped. I'm not happy but I understand that with COVID and the holidays, orders take longer to process. So far so good. Days go by and I hear NOTHING about my order. I check the tracking number, and all I see is "Wrong adress - not delivered". At this point all I want is to cancel my order, and get my money back. Well, even this is a hurdle. I reached out by LiveChat only to be told that they cannot cancel and I have to contact the store directly. Problem, the location to which they supposedly redirected my order is closed and they redirected the item to yet another location, without updating me by email this time. LiveChat agent is now asking me to contact that third location to get them to return my order and refund me. Of course, it doesn't stop there, after a couple of weeks, turns out that third location doesn't have my order! So I contact CS on the phone (on 12-31!!!!!), to explain again that at this point I just want my money back. I'm served with the same rinsed out answer "Unfortunately nothing can be done on our side, you have to contact the store to cancel the order". The CS agent kindly provides me with the contact info of a fourth location (!) so that I can reach out to them when my order finally get there. Now, today (1-4), I receive a call from a fifth location (3 hour from where I live as opposed to 20 min for the one I originally picked), telling me my order has arrived and is ready to be picked up. I explain that I DO NOT WANT IT, that I want a refund. They tell me they can't process my request and I should contact CS on the phone. I explained that I did contact CS and it was they who advised to contact the store directly. The store worker just ends up telling me that in this case I should just wait out the 14 days pick up period after which the item will be returned. How can this even be a solution? Are you REALLY going to pretend that this is something you cannot handle internally, when my money AND the product is in your hands??? I'm appalled by the low level of care you show to your customers, and the way you sneakily make it hard for us to get a refund or cancellation. Now I have to wait until 1-18 for a new development. Who knows if my issue will be solved by then. In the meantime, The Source holds my money hostage, well done, I guess you achieved what you were seeking in the first place!
EDIT: I wrote on their live chat on 1-26. They told me refund could not be processed since there was no note that their warehouse had received the order as of yet.
EDIT2: I called again on 2-2 (TWO MONTHS AFTER ORDER), telling them I'm still waiting to get my refund. The agent told me there's a note on my order asking if I want a reship or a refund? Really you could not have given me a call or send me an email to ask me that? I told them for the bazillionth time that I want a REFUND. It should be processed in the next 10-15 days. I'm not even sure I can trust that, they refused to send me a written proof.
EDIT3: Received my money back on 2-19.
I cannot stress that enough, STAY AWAY FROM THE SOURCE.

I purchased a laptop on Black Friday when there was a large amount of sales. The price and specs seemed good and the website indicated the product was in stock. In fact, when I purchased it online, the website even indicated that they would send it within 9 days with free shipping to my home. However, 5 days later, they send an email saying the product is no longer available. Why did it take this company 5 DAYS to figure out if they had this laptop in stock?! I was going to receive in less than a week and now you say it's out of stock! I am outraged. I understand that a company may not have taken into account the live number of stock available but something like this should not take 5 days to figure out!! Not to mention, almost all the Black Friday sales were gone by the time they told me the laptop was no longer available.
I'm never shopping here again. This is a business!! Run it effectively and keep track of your stock. Because of your bad business I'm paying hundreds of dollars more for something I didn't need to. Don't buy from this company!

Worst customer service they lie
I have tried to keep my business local or in Canada and decided to buy from The Source on Black Friday, what a mistake. I purchased my items with the understanding that they would be delivered within 7 days which would allow me to bundle them up into Christmas gifts and send them out.
Instead I was told they after the purchase (which included 7 pre-auths on my credit card) the delivery would now be 14 days. Near the middle of that the delivery changed to one month which would be the 21st of Dec and miss any chance to send the items out for Christmas. Fast forward to the month and again changed with an added week now saying the 29th of Dec. on the morning of the 30th nothing delivered and delivery now saying the 31st. Welcome to 2021 and now being told delivery is delayed and no date given.
All of these dates were posted on the package tracker and The Source has not provided any information beyond the “package has shipped” despite repeated emails asking what is going on. At this point the items have missed being part of the holidays, The Source has failed to respect me as a customer, they have taken my money and have given me nothing.
I would not trust The Source and see they do not respect their business.
Good prices on electronics and I paid half the price compared to most stores. But the shipping is terrible!!!!. I order my lap top like 4 days ago and it still isnt even at the shipping facility pretty pissed off considering I spent like 800$$. You would think you would get priority shipping with a large purchase. They are no Amazon prime that's for sure.
One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. Ordered Nintendo products online. They delivered the game but not the Switch, even though their online status update stated everything was delivered. It took 5(!) phone calls and an unpleasant discussion with escalations to confirm they didn't have any in stock. And now it's been over 2 weeks and counting waiting for a refund on a product I never received. Brutal!
