Slow broadband (I live in South Manchester).
Awful customer service.

I have been with Phone Coop for a little under a year. I have had a string of problems with my Fairphone, and none of these have been resolved, they have just got worse.

I find The Phone Coop difficult to get hold of, they are always busy, and offer to call back but only attempt to make one call. So if you miss it, that's your hard luck!

They are incredibly expensive - service is not higher as a result.

I have had problems with my account with The Phone Coop that are still not resolved after speaking on the phone with somebody and him assuring me it was resolved - It means I cant log in to my account online.

Thoroughly dissapointing experience with this company, and I'm trying to escape my contract

I have been with the phone co op for rly ten years and find them super helpful. I pay a little more than I might with other providers, and for this I receive fast and friendly help. As an example I once left my roaming on my fairphone on while in Australia. The phone cop staff notified me of this to avoid my paying an exorbitant amount. Having had a mobile with other providers I know this would not have happened
Also I have a fairphone and have for 2 years, it's a great phone . And I have the satisfaction of knowing the company which makes fairphone treats its employees in a socially responsible manner.
Lastly I recommend this phone company to others all the time.

Moved our account to a new address (adjacent to old one).. Absolute nightmare - always some reason for delay and different stories from different people - and they tried to charge us for the period after we left the old house and before they got their act into gear to close down the line. Unfortunately caught in a twelve month contract, which we will be cancelling in December 2018.

Easy to contact and speak to a person who understands your query

Wanted to find an ethical phone company and went with phone co-op as they sold the Fairphone2 on contract. Phone has been rebooting randomly for a couple of weeks and is getting to the point where it continually reboots and doesn't turn on. I rang several times over a week to the tech support and even though they have the ticket open I have to explain all the previous troubleshooting. Several times over the week I had to get a call back from tech support because they were too busy to take my call, it was difficult because they are only online during office hours and usually they wouldn't call back until the following day. Finally they say it needs to be replaced but that I have to liaise directly with Fairphone despite their website saying that they will replace faulty phones under the first 6 months of the 24 month warranty. So I have to argue with the support team about what is written on their website, which is apparently wrong, who say they will have to talk to their manager but the manager doesn't work on Saturdays - you should always have someone with the authority to make a decision on Saturdays when most people who work office hours would call for support! Call centre 101! The response was unprofessional, several times I was left on hold whilst they checked with other colleagues even basic things like Saturday office hours. Feels like they are using temp staff or too many poorly trained new staff because no-one knew what was going on.

This is a joke mobile phone provider. I use them for PAYG - they are cheap but there is a reason for this. Firstly most of their staff seem to nothing about anything and constantly refer back to their 'supplier', which is EE. They are only open for limited hours as well.

Thing that prompted me to do a review though was that I have received some spam texts and I simply wanted to forward them to 7726 and it didn't work. I called them and after talking to 'the supplier' I was told that they don't support short text numbers!
