Been with the Pet Vet for years and I honestly think that they want to lose customers and make themselves bankrupt, I wouldn't even give them 1 star. The reason I will not be going back there and giving them anymore of my money was that I was with the pet plan for about 7 years which is supposed to cover for flee and worm a month and the yearly inoculation jabs. Paid it monthly for 2 cats, then was told they wanted another, £4 on top of that, so I thought it was getting too much as it was coming to £38 a month which is more then my car insurance, so i called up to cancel and they give me another number to call so I did that and cancelled it. Then they informed me that I owed them £206, which I could not understand as I paid monthly. They said this was because of the discount. Now it turns out that if you cancel your membership before the year is up you have to pay more money. I had been in it for 7 years I had no idea when I started the plan and NO ONE seemed like they wanted to mention this to me, if I had known this I would of waited till October when the year is up. This is why people take these plans out so they do not get big bills like this. I was going to let them take me to court, but then I was getting texts saying they were going to add 10% to the total for late payment. Anyway I am sort of relieved this has happened as I haven't felt happy with them for a while and believe they are only bothered about the money and not bothered about the animals welfare and was a bit concerned about if one of my cats needed an operation I didn't trust them. To be honest I will be taking my cats back to my old vets, it will be further away but I would give them 5 stars, I only changed because I moved and it was more convenient. So congratulations Pet Vet, you have lost another customer, keep up the good work you will be all out of a job soon. Oh PS, you have just lost out on some money as I am going to get a vets to give my male cat Ronnie a dental, but I will be giving that money to my old vets that I trust, least they care about the animals. Good riddance. X

7 years I was with this vet since new owners has took over it’s all money with them reception don’t know what they are doing they look like they don’t want to be there there are good vets there so I don’t have a problem with them it the owners changed to animal trust make sure if you take the pet plan out read terms and conditions

Our Border Collie Marshall was really poorly, We took him to The Pet Vet Barnsley on Monday 26/05/25 with what we thought was just a sickness bug as he showed no signs of a temperature or dehydration he was administered an anti sickness jab & with no signs of improvement we took him back the following day, he was hospitalised for 12 hours , given fluids, steroid treatment & blood tests
We returned on the Wednesday (28/05/25) for his blood results which confirmed the vet’s suspicions that Marshall has Addison’s Disease
We are so grateful to all the staff involved in Marshall’s care & help & support we have received

Took my cat to the vet today moned because I was late but did ring to tell them I would be late lady had ago at me they were rude argent un cooperative. After came out from appointment they took 50 pound deposit away from one of my other cat for his operation on Friday saying it was the system not first time this happened very un happy manger needs to ring me .sort out .they demanded money saying they would take me to court even low j don't ow Any money. Now going to beach house vets for operation 2 weeks time .

For a while now my poor dog has been chewing his rear end/tail. It turns out that he has a flea infestation (small). I'm so cross as i've been with the Vet for years and they've recently been taken over by The Pet Vet Southampton. I'm so annoyed as been paying monthly for his flea/worming and vaccinations. I took my boy to the PDSA and they diagnosed him. Straight after I went to the Pet Vet in Millbrook, Southampton and was greeted by a very rude Irish lady on reception. A vet (Maria) took a quick glance at my boy and then just walked away leaving me in limbo. I walked away very upset as my poor dog was in distress and they did not care. Also while I was there someone brought their dog in to be euthanised and the poor animal was in real distress. God knows what they were doing to it. Have cancelled my DD for the medications and will be registering myself at another surgery where they actually care about the animals. Do NOT use these people if you love and value your pets

Took our cat in who is insured. They told us we needed to come up with 1,000 to have a couple of teeth extracted. Gave her gland a squeeze (2 minutes) and some loxicom and we then waited at reception for 10 mins for a cab. At no time did they ask for money. We arrived home and after a week the threatening letters came in saying we owe 41.95 and that if we don't pay it the price will go up with interest. Then despite my partner telling them TWICE we would pay the 41.95 at the end of the month when we are paid they proceeded to send 3 more letters and up'd the price to 46gbp. Warned them that this wasn't necessary and that they needed to apologise to my partner and they ignored it so here we are warning people about our experience with this place. We are now going to a different vets on principal. It was their whole attitude and rudeness which has put us off. Very unprofessional. Very cold. If this review is removed, it will be placed on other review sites including Google and a vid for TikTok too. These people had a chance to put things right and they chose not to apologise and send another letter instead even though we keep telling them we will pay the 41.95 at the end of the month. Now their rating is even lower and poorer than before. Bravo.

paid for the pet health plan and when i took my puppy for her 1st vaccination they charged me for liquid worm treatment as my puppy was too small for tablet form they said the pet health plan doesnt include the liquid form they prescribed. No were on the pet plan health plan does it say anything about this, i have been in contact with the health plan company to clarify this. Be aware that if you take your puppy for 1st vaccination and they are under 1kg they will charge you if they prescribe liquid worm treatment even if you have their health plan. Feel like ive been ripped off by signing up to their pet health plan by having to pay for the worm treatment

We have used the vets at Lincoln for our dog. When the vet examined our dog she advised that she had arthritis and needed anti inflammatory drugs, but then proceeded to only prescribe 10ml, which only lasted a week, for the price you can buy over 100ml online.

I then asked them if they could write a prescription so I could buy 100ml online and they want to charge £23

The care offered by this branch is the bare minimum and definitely not worth the charges they make. I would definitely not recommend them, they are definitely only in this for the money, not to care for animals

The Pet Vet, Warrington - Cockhedge Centre.

I've taken a Family Pet here, twice now.

The first time, the vet claimed our Pet had loose teeth and recommended treatment which included an extraction.

We decided against this.

The next time we went, the Vet stated our Pets teeth were in Good Condition - this was in contrast to the previous colleague?

The 2nd Vet, did however inform us that our Pet was outside of its Vaccination Window?

We'd spoken to the Receptionist who had checked and double checked/confirmed that we were indeed still within the Vaccination Window?

The Vet wanted us to start the Vaccination programme again, we declined as it not necessary.

Not content with this, he then informed us our Pet had a Heart Murmer and ssid he could provide medication, with a view to running tests.

I feel they're prepared to do ANYTHING to fleece customers and as a result, we shall not be returning - date of visit may not be correct.

I cannot recommend the Pet Vet Lincoln.

Their medical inexperience has resulted in my dogs ongoing suffering with multiple medical issues as a result.

There are so many issues I cannot list them all.

However, just a few highlights include:

-One of the the vets telling me my dog is attention seeking when he screamed in pain, shortly after he was diagnosed with IMPA. As well as not giving my 14.5 year old dog a proper checkover when he fell down a flight of stairs.

-Regularly ordering the wrong medications, or simply forgetting to order them; meaning my dog relapsed on his auto immune issue because they didn't get it in in time. This is a huge problem at the pet vet that they struggle to overcome consistently.

-Forgetting to run tests while he was under, and me having to chase them for the fact they didn't do those tests. They had no intention of telling me on discharge and told me i'd receive the wrist x ray results...its only me chasing them that got the fact they didn’t do any wrist x rays!

The above meant the tests they managed to remember to do were clinically irrelevent, but they still feel they should charge me for £1000 worth of unnecessary tests they opted to run. As they did random x rays not agreed to and discounted me only a small amount of those.

-Staff on Reception breaching GDPR rules.

-When i requested my dogs medication. With his name, medication and my address. The receptionist asked my if it was for marley or ollie or arkle. Consdering Marley and Ollie had recently passed away this was deeply upsetting. I had spoon fed them every inch of information as I know they would make mistakes, so to ask that was outrageous.

- I had to tell several staff to actually engage with my dog if they were going to insist on taking him out back for simple tests. That dragging him was NOT appropriate for any dog, never mind one with physical medical issues! This could have been avoided by doing most tests in front of me. And having any compassion for animals, after all, who drags dogs across slippy flooring? Arkle became hysterical in the presence of the Pet Vet in the end.

-Prices quoted were very rarely accurate and you have to keep a very close eye on them. If your lucky to get quotes.

Arkle's health has hugely improved at another local practice who have treated him as he should have been from day 1. He LOVES them and happily trots in, takes food, and no longer urinates on sight of staff in a vet practice- which says everything. At no point have they advised I consider euthanasia at some point either, they instead did the treatment options required to improve his health, that costed pennies.

My dog could have been healthier 18 months ago.

Turning off Facebook reviews and simply lying in response just shows the type of company the pet vet is. If you cared about his health, I wouldn't have a load of videos and photos of him unwell with no treatment while actively attending your practice wanting help

I Booked an appointment to talk to a vet about having my 22yr old Lhasa put asleep as he’s got doggy dementia .but I wasn’t sure if the time was right . She turned up with a form to sign I said wait i want to talk it through, my old boy shaking with fear,The vet thought it was time as I was cleaning up after him - the fact he was confused pacing in circles at night and stepping of high walls and could easily get seriously injured or suffering was what was going through my head. I agreed with the vet that it was time- he was shaking and couldn’t walk so good, she just Dragged him out of the room by his lead, he was shaking and pulling at his neck as he fought to get to me- i shouted I’ve changed my mind,she just ignored me he was so scared it shouldn’t have be like this. This is wrong. When she brought him back he had already been sedated and it was too late. What a Horrible female Vet. She even said to him I’m now going to overdose you with anaesthetics- I was disgusted by this.
