Don't bother appealing. They're not interested in any evidence. I provided proof of payment, the parking had been pre-booked and paid 7 months in advance but the technicality of having changed car registration, despite being admitted to the car park by the attendant who saw our copy of the booking. This is clearly a racket. Now have to pay £100 rather than £60 on top of the parking we paid for. Total scam.

Complete waste of time. The so called solicitor/ adjudicator considers no signage or markings where parked to be sufficient and clear provision of terms and conditions.

Unfair fine overturned after submitting my case and explanation.
Culdesac at a busy train station with minimal parking. I noticed a driver getting into their car and was waiting for the car to pull out so I could take their spot. They took a little time to do this but under 2 minutes. I wasn't putting anyone in danger, was not in the way of any traffic, had my hazards on and never left the vehicle. The enforcement officer knew this and knew what I was doing and even pointed to the space for me to go to when it became free, but still sneakily issued a fine without telling me.
Was delighted when the fine was overturned.

Sadly, I've had to give them a star - you can't give nil points!
They are NOT independent, they are part of IPC (The International Parking Community) who GXS (the criminals who gave us a PCN) are members of. What a waste of time and effort appealing the PCN was. We pulled off a busy road in an arrea unfamiliar to us onto a very large forecourt, drew up beside one of the signs, read it and immediately left. This took a total of 1 minute 25 seconds.
The 'independent' ajudicator dismissed our appeal, saying that 1 minute 25 seconds is 'parking'
I am sooo angry about this! They could easily have a chain across the entrance to prevent access, but would rather make (according to locals) upwards of 10k per year fleecing ordinary law abiding folk who happen to pull off the toad as we did.
They are ALL scammers. I wonder if the new labour government will do anything about this - LOL!

Don’t even bother use them! They’re useless and side with the Parking control management team. I was given a fine for parking in my own parking space! Despite when I bought my flat the lease clearly states that the flat and parking bay are in my possession. You would’ve thought they would’ve had some compassion, but no! They’re all money grabbing people with no compassion.

Not independent, paid off in favour of sour, vindictive groups that lied on plans and get away with it.

They are not independent as they claim. I never complain but came here to see what others had to say about this IAS company and just like me many unhappy customers.

I parked and paid for my parking but as there was only 1 machine on site and a quite long queue it took longer to buy ticket. Therefore I was issued a PCN because I didn't follow the signage rules.

This IAS company sided with the parking ticket and said I am liable to pay. not only do I need to pay but now but need to pay £100 instead of £60 coz I DARED to appeal!!

Well at least they waited over 6 weeks for their money!
Bunch of Scammers!

IPark issued a PCN even though they offer a 20min Grace Period for payment. IAS ignored the grace period and dismissed the appeal. They are not independent and clearly are just there to give a veneer of respectability to rogue car parking operators

This company is a go to doesn't help it is communication between complaintan and company it represents and the complaintan will most of the time loose as the company they represent is paying them

Challenged a parking ticket issued where rules are for patrons only while using the premises, park in the lines, and disabled users present their badges. No time limit in place or period of no returns.
Spent just under 1.5 hours in the place (takeaway restaurant with customer seating to eat in) parked in the lines and not in disabled.
They upheld the ticket because I paid cash and had no receipt to prove I was a customer.
Reason provided was because the parking firm asserts it was legally and correctly issued therefore is my burden to prove it wrong, even though I was fully compliant.
Service is just there to help parking firms get the full cost of the fine instead of the reduced price as you have to forfeit this right to appeal.

Just to confirm, you generally wouldnt see a positive review about a parking company. But i am being honest here , have eyes on both sides of your head with these. If I could vote 0 I would. Seriously. I parked there due to the hospital car park being totally full. But because my head was totally messed up due to my wife's risk reducing procedure follow up, I accidentally keyed her reg plate in instead of mine. Yes I know a silly mistake , but also a legitimately honest one. I provided all proofs for who owned which car along with the ticket paid for and appt letter. Totally ignored it and hid behind terms and conditions. They don't fight for the people at all they fight for the parking companies.

Unprofessional,useless and obviously in the pocket of the car park companies. Totally ignore facts and give a ruling without considering anything other than the car park company statement. Avoid at all costs.

Terrible company, not independent, clearly is the car park thieves.

Just adding some balance to the comments. I appealed a ticket and was successful (the parking company were very clearly in the wrong so it should never have come to this, but at least it got sorted in the end)

This "Independent" appeals service is practically useless. I live in an estate in Braintree and a lot of residents, myself included, have received parking tickets. We all have our parking permits and the parking company kept issuing tickets either because some of us are forced to park in another space (our own space was obstructed), or they simply couldn't see the parking permit. This "independent" service ruled in the company's favour almost every time and did not respond to any of the explanations provided. My advice would be just don't even bother using this service.

How is this still allowed to function?
Should be taken straight to trading standards as this is not independent and just a scam to get another £40 after appealing and sending yet another generic response not taking any logical arguments in consideration. E.g. parking outside their carpark, on what they subsequently claim to be a private street with no private street signs anywhere to be seen!
Please anyone checking this, it needs to be investigated ASAP!

I find it hard to believe that their independent. I got a parking ticket for spending 11 minutes trying to pay to park. Both machines at the site were broken and the website not working. We spent 11 minutes diligently trying to pay to park and I wish we had driven straight out now but we just wanted to pay to park.

I provided evidence that we went immediately to the car park next door after spending 10 minutes trying to pay to park and paid for 4 hours at a working car park.....but the IAS didn't care. Having read the reviews it seems they are just as bad as the parking companies themselves.

Still, I'd rather have my morals than have to pay that unethical fine when it was first issued.

Disgusting and biased company that can not be trusted. Who said justice prevails!.....

Is this really an independent organisation? Ignores evidence and supports and encourages predatory behaviour of parking companies. Don't bother just take the parking company to court

After three attempts to register my details and being sent around in circles, I started to smell a rat. Looked on Trustpilot and the reviews seem to confirm my suspicions about this company. I have since managed to register with IAS and received a reply from the email on their website so I have some hope now of a justified decision and will update my review as and when things change. So far the process has gone as promised and I have uploaded my evidence and appeal reasons once. The Operator has responded and I have had another chance to respond so I would say, the worst part is the IAS website being very tricky to register on.
Latest update is that I have been refused appeal even though I was having to stop at a temporary red light! Waste of time appealing but I shall go on to court if need be.
