I will never buy another TenPoint…
I will never buy another TenPoint product again. The customer service is absolutely horrible. It doesn’t matter what time you call—you can routinely have 40 to 100 people ahead of you in the queue. That alone says a lot about the number of problems customers are having.
I own a TenPoint Nitro 505 Xero with the Garmin Xero digital scope, and when you spend well over $3,000 on a crossbow setup, you should be able to expect reliability and quality. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience whatsoever.
I’ve owned it for three seasons, and in every single season it has broken to the point where I couldn’t use it. It was brand new when I purchased it, and I’ve already had multiple major issues. The digital scope stopped working, the string broke less than halfway through a season despite only being shot a limited number of times, and the crank also broke.
On top of the reliability issues, I’m expected to pay the shipping costs to send it back and have it shipped back to me, while TenPoint keeps the crossbow for an unreasonable amount of time. After spending thousands of dollars on a supposedly premium product, that is extremely frustrating.
At this point, I’m honestly disgusted with the experience. After I get it back from them and figure out how much more money I’m going to have to spend getting everything fixed, I plan to sell it and go with a different brand—one that makes a more reliable product and actually values its customers.
For what these crossbows cost, I expected significantly better quality and customer service. Unfortunately, TenPoint has completely lost my business.
