Joseph taught my son for years and was absolutely amazing, he got him to such a brilliant level of swimming, we were SO impressed- and now he teaches our daughter every week. He is such a wonderful teacher, both my kids adore him and they always look forwards to their lessons. He is so much fun too- they have a real laugh together. Joseph is an EXCELLENT teacher and I would (and have) recommend him to anyone.

Joseph is the only reason I have stuck around with Swimwing nature. He has been a brilliant coach, very dedicated and committed to the cause. It has been a pleasure taking my son to learn swiming from him

Don’t let the admin side put you off as the teachers are incredible!
My daughters have Joseph Mulugeta and Anton in Streatham. They are just in a different league to other swim schools we’ve been to.
Joe is just phenomenal and has such a brilliant talent at being able to explain things so well, while being lovely and motivates her. He is really patient as after school she is always really tired and finds concentrating really hard but he manages to get her to focus while making it really fun.
I’ve also had lessons to try improve my technique and he is brilliant at observing where you are going wrong and explaining how to put it right and being really encouraging. His attention to detail and passion to get kids swimming well is fantastic.
He is amazing with kids who are terrified right through to experienced adults needing to brush up on technique for competitions.
Anton is just as wonderful. My youngest, despite previously having 2 years of swimming lessons elsewhere was terrified of water and still couldn’t swim! From the first lesson with him she was so calm and happy. After just a few lessons with him she was like a different child loving the water.
He is also really patient as she isn’t known for her love of following instructions but he manages to get her to listen and have a big smile on her face.
They are both a total joy!
Ok so I get why there are a few frustrations with the main company. They use other venues pools which I see as a plus as it means more areas covered and is more environmentally friendly as utilising facilities already available …but it does mean that those places are going to be varied and have different rules and things might go wrong out of their control.
If you read this swimming nature as I’ve mentioned before pleeeeease can customers have an email to contact you on as it’s not always convenient to call and sometimes we can’t get through.
I have to say when I have had any admin issues they have sorted them out quickly and everyone I’ve spoken to on the phone have always been helpful and polite.

My children have been going to swimming nature for years, and they love it. Joseph, their instructor, is fantastic, dedicated and extremely knowledgeable. My kids made tremendous progress and love swimming now. We could not be happier.

My two daughters started swimming with Joseph in Streatham last year and we cannot believe how much their swimming has progressed. My oldest had picked up lots of bad habits in previous swim schools but Joseph has done an amazing job improving her technique, while my youngest has grown so much in confidence. Both of them absolutely love their lessons and can’t wait to get into the pool each week. We had a few challenges at the beginning of the year with pool closure but the communications from the school were always good and every lesson missed is being made up. I cannot recommend Joseph, Dulce and all the team in Streatham enough and we are always impressed with how much they improve week on week.

My girls have been learning with Joseph at Swimming Nature for several years and I just can’t recommend him enough. He is so patient and encouraging; they have surged in confidence, ability and enthusiasm so much. We look forward to the session every week!

I do not recommend this company. They caused me so so so much distress. Unprofessional. No respect for customers.I will finish my lessons I booked with them because they don't give me another option but I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM. Be aware your private one to one lessons can be in the same time with someone else's lesson on the same lane!!! Imagine how nice! FOR THE BEST AND PROFESSIONAL INSTRUCTORS I RECOMMEND TURNER SWIM! Can't wait to go back to them. God what a mistake I made for £100 less

Very happy with the service and the instructors. I saw some bad comments but it is more to do with the pools they used that with their services.

Absolutely love Swimming Nature and the Maqam Centre. The staff are incredibly friendly, the facilities are great (especially for families) and the quality of teaching is high. We absolutely love our instructor, Javier, he is so enthusiastic and brilliant with babies. The cafe at the centre is great and very social.

We have loved our swimming nature lessons. The teacher Alejandro is brilliant. He always brings positive energy to the class and mixes up what we do each week.

Myself and my daughter love swimming here. Alejandro is a great swimming teacher that takes so much care and I love going to the cafe after, the food and coffee are great!

Very bad management! I paid for my daughter lessons and they have booked at a venue which was going under construction and never told me anything when I booked it ! We were not able to use the facilities such and shower or put any of my daughter’s clothes in a safe locker! Lockers are broken !
The pool is so dirty ! She end up having skin issues !! They have never responded to my emails or when you call they ignore you completely! So disappointing! Never use this company!

Victor is an excellent instructor. Very attentive to details and happy to help. His lessons have been very helpful and I enjoy my progress each time. Thank you

Very bad management…dirty changing rooms in holiday inn venue…coaches are very knew..they usually lie by saying that coaches are very experienced..pools temperatures are very high …every time they cancel the lesson or continue in the same high temperatures…their booking staff have no clue …complete mess up

I applied for a job as a swimming instructor, the lady I spoke to was super nice to me and wanted me to go through interview, but before going ahead my gut instinct was telling me to ask about hourly pay, due to my 13,5 years of experience in industry, my passion teaching all ages from 3 years old to oldest I had 79. She said they have to start with £21/h. I was like, Im really sorry but I have to be honest, the reason I applied in London because its supposed to be a better pay, better opportunities to work with good schools and you offering less then in Kent out of London. Anyway, I did a little research on swimming nature and everyone said the same thing who used to work with them, do not go there, they don’t care about their stuff, its all about numbers and they ask you to send updates about every lesson which is fair enough if you add that to hourly pay.
This company charges premium, but doesn’t care about having good qualified teachers. No wonder why most reviews about different coaches attending lessons and not being professional.

Unfortunately the only company for kids swimming lessons in central London. Swimming Nature has rude instructors and staff. Only company I know that forces you to pay two months in advance. If you don’t you loose your time slot! Absolutely overpriced!

DO NOT book lessons with this company. They have taken my money and will not refund it. I have been calling for 3 weeks, each time I call I am reassured the money has been refunded for the money to never arrive in my account. They refuse to give you the managers name or a way of contacting them. They have literally taken nearly £400.

the class itself was ok,but the overall experience was pretty bad and I will never recommend to anyone. i subscribed my babies for one month class, early November, the person I spoke over the phone did not tell me that fitness first had the pool closed, and did not tell me that was not sure when it would have reopened. i discovered at 6 pm , the evening before the first lesson by a text, too late to call the costumer care. i had to be escalated to two managers to have my refund, because it goes on the account ( over the phone it was said that i have a 5 days cool off period- never seen written because i have never received a confirmation email, apparently servers off).
then promised the following week it would have worked: nope.
third week success. the annoying point is the fitness first staff was very unprofessional. i live nearby and pop in for queries,they never told me that the swimming pool was out of order. and the very unpleasant experience on last day: as said never received any mail with instructions about the centre, and the lady at receptions denied towel for me, she said was only for the club members and was rude and arrogant. i explained to her the above and she said that was not possible, for sure i had to received an email, the other do, implying that that i was a liar. - just to be clear the previous time. her colleague has given towel,without any comment-so much of arrogance, and rudeness and clearly they are totally uncoordinated among themselves ! i have already had bad experience with the fitness first team, but today their lack of professionalism has been over the top.

So far my daughter and I had very good experience with Swimmiing nature. I am so thankful with Ali that my daughter had a very good progress with her lessons. Ali always gives feedback after each lesson.
