Product broke at 1 month & they would not stand behind it
I purchased two hats and the toggle for the chin strap chipped and broke on one of them after I'd had it a month. When I contacted the company, they informed that as a "one time courtesy" they would mail me a replacement part. The tone was as though they were doing me a HUGE one time favor.
They claim to offer a lifetime guarantee and state, "We stand behind our hats for as long as you stand under them. Materials and workmanship are guaranteed for life", yet they give me grief after their product was defective at the one month mark?
I won't purchase from them again.
Slowest deliveries ever
Slowest deliveries ever! Two weeks after my order and still waiting for the hats to arrive. They say that delivery is 5-8 business days, so beware of holidays and weekends.
Lifetime Guarantee? More like Lifetime Lie!
This company is a scam. I purchased a waterproof hat, but the material wasn't actually waterproof. I requested their "lifetime guarantee" and after a lengthy back-and-forth process, they offered to send me a new one for free. However, they demanded a huge shipping fee! This is ridiculous and clearly a scam! Instead of refunding me or accepting a return, they tried to sell me another product! Yes, they offered it for free, but the exorbitant shipping fee was nearly the price of the original hat! They are one of the worst companies I've encountered. Avoid them and buy from reputable brands. Do NOT TRUST their lifetime guarantee.
Company Does Not Honor Expedited Shipping Timeline
I paid an extra $26 for 1-2 day shipping and the company used fuzzy math to stretch shipping time to 3 days. I went on vacation without the hat.
No return refund with proof of delivery...
Returned a hat (too small) and I have proof of delivery for the return dated 7/8/24. No refund has been paid and it's 9/5/24. The so-called customer service phone line cuts me off after waiting in line.
Shall never buy from this company again. Feels like a fraud with the company wearing the customer down and aiming to keep the refund cash.

The customer service number on their website, my order receipt, does not work without an extension being entered. No extension is given, anywhere! I've emailed and have not received a response. I went to, LIVE CHAT and it wasn't live, it was an automated response to go the website for help. I getting ticked off trying to make a return!
Fine hats, atrocious customer service
I've bought Sunday Afternoons hats on many occasions, but in no circumstance should people buy directly from Sunday Afternoons.
If anything goes wrong with the shipment (i.e., it gets lost), they will not help you at all. Every other seller in this day and age will refund/reship without question, but not these guys. Instead, they'll just argue with you and waste your time. Go through a reseller instead.
Highly recommend these beautiful masks!
Love our masks, not only are they beautiful but I feel like I can breathe in it with my silicone mouth guard so it doesn't suck in my mouth when I breath heavily. I wore mine to the Women's March and we climbed a hill that is like climbing 12 floors. I was heavily breathing and never felt too hot in the mask. I also received countless compliments on it throughout the day. Highly recommend!

My one year old grandson wears his hat…
My one year old grandson wears his hat in windy San Francisco without the chin strap . It stays on. He doesn’t react in an irritated way to it as he does with other hats. It provides substantial shade! I am very pleased!
I have 4 Sunday Afternoons hats
I have 4 Sunday Afternoons hats, I love them and wear them whenever I expect to spend much time outdoors. The last one is beautiful but I do wish it had been available in a tan, hope to be able to keep the white clean.

Amazing hat!!! I cannot believe how much cooler (temperature, not the appearance) I felt running under the Tucson summer sun. I highly recommend this hat for summer endurance activities.
They fixed my mistake
My order somehow got messed up- it looks like I may have typed my zip code into the address line, and my order ended up going to some random person in a different state. Once I let Sunday Afternoons know about the issue, they quickly got a new hat to my correct address. And the new hat is great, like all of the others that I’ve bought from them over the years.
