One of the traits of Smergers platform is that its stuff behave like policemen. They block the accounts of the paid subscribers if they use it actively, demanding additional information to allow its further use. This is how they behave, they overuse their admin only general authority, demanding information that they want to be provided, more bad when confidential, which is not their business. For reasons like a fraudulent act that has taken place that they would have knowledge of, they do it. This how this platform works, they are happy to have a subscrption paid and when no real interaction exists between users. When you intend to be active, beware, do not be too much, you will be blocked.

We have been using SMERGERS as part of our deal sourcing process for the past eight to nine months. The database is the comprehensive I have found for verified SME acquisition targets in India and other countries also, with enough financial and operational detail on each profile to make a meaningful pre-screening decision before reaching out. The filters are well-designed. Can narrow by industry, geography, revenue range, and deal type in one view. The introduction mechanism is structured so that both sides have confirmed interest before any contact is made, which keeps the quality of conversations high and helps avoid the spam calls. Support has been quite responsive on email whenever we have had questions. We are very pleased with their services.

Total waste of money. Premium (paid) services are pathetic. Talks big & delivers nothing. I took paid services and in last 6+ months not a single lead. When I spoke to customer service support they straight forward denied saying - we cannot do anything about it.

My issue with Smerger has been resolved. I have been contacted by their technical team. I have since received what I had scribbled for. I have also received one response from the potential seller.

I am writing this review, due to my 2nd time of having very poor customer service with Smergers, refusing to return messages, after paying for a membership with their site; $500 USD.
 
The first time, it took several weeks--after I had paid for a yearly subscription!--to have my account activated. That was because "no established big company email." If I'm paying several hundred dollars for an account, then it should not matter how well my company is established, nor should I have to wait for several weeks, to get activated, using a prior school email set up.
 
Secondly, only having WhatsApp for communications is a very poor customer support. WhatsApp is not compatible with any VoiP, which is my phone system. Setting up something with Zoom or Google Meet would be much more viable, since one doesn't need an account with them, to use the service, to discuss issues. Emails, after a point, are ignored.
 
Now, I made a change to my profile, and have had my account pending since April 9th and am unable to use it. This is extremely bad business, for a *paying client!*  If it is due to the *lender*--*I* don't charge fees--I work with who charges for underwriting, due diligence, and related expenses on loans/investments of $10M, and if that's against Smergers policies, then I need to be told that, and be able to swap back to prior vendors, who don't charge fees like that...this costs me time and opportunities, and to not be able to directly have any sort of *reliable* customer support is poor business practice, especially given that I have paid for access.

Reaching out to the CEO via LI hasn't yielded results. I think just one client paying $500 would cover costs for using Zoom/Google, professionally, for tech support; ignoring emails, including my recent forwarding of claims with the FTC, are signs to avoid this company.

If the bond firms are not approved, then I should be able to revert my profile to the prior version, which had been fine, for 9 months. All correspondences have been ignored, since April 9th.

I paid for membership but couldn't reply via their website to business who were (very) interesting in my company which I wanted to sell.

Very frustrating. Nobody replied when I complain! Waist of money.

I was introduced, but when I replied in the chat possibility, nobody received my message.
Until one of them contacted me twice, but I couldn't reach him. Your answer to me was: " Everything is working, and try again''.
My message to all the interested people remained unread, while I am sure they wanted to contact me.

To be clear, my payment was taken and shortly after that I attempted to change the listing. That was never the agreement, and regardless of profile edits, I am legally entitled to cancel and receive a refund within 14 days under UK/EU consumer law.

I do not wish to continue with this account. I am not disputing platform rules. I am simply exercising my legal right to cancel and receive a refund within the statutory cooling-off period.

I do not understand why this is being prolonged. I am requesting a refund only.

Please confirm when this will be processed. ***FURTHER UPDATE****

I subscribed to a paid plan with SMERGERS and requested a refund shortly after, within the statutory cooling-off period applicable to online purchases in the EU.

Despite multiple written requests, the refund was refused and I was repeatedly redirected to internal policies rather than consumer law. Alternative options such as account changes or transfers were offered, which I declined, as I simply wished to cancel and receive a refund.

Communication became inconsistent, and the matter was eventually stated as “closed” without resolution. I am now pursuing this through formal dispute resolution and my card provider.

I am sharing this experience so other users are aware of how refund requests are handled.

I Spent 10000 INR On smergers Plat form My subscription is over but I could not get postive outcome . Their claims are seen best on website but actually it is underscore. Think many times before spending on this platform. I have lost my money and confidence 😞

Good Ai interface so far but I need to talk to an actual person and have failed to be connected. Please reach out. I have for now indicated the free option to understand how this really works.

Update: I got a call from an assistant who helped me through the registration process. My profile is now active online.

Unprofessional customer support. They wont assist you with anything. Glad i decided against selling my business on Smergers

SMERGERS team cares only about subscription fees. For over a year and having 2 companies registered I had only one introduction. It is a total waste of time and money as there is no follow up

I'm doing this review mainly because of Shanthi. Shanthi was very helpful in helping me to open an account. Due to unique circumstances I had some difficulties doing so, but Shanthi went miles in helping me resolve the issue.

The first thing is to pay for the smergers and then they will introduce.

Smergers has a good filter mechanism which allow me to find prospective leads of investee and/or project owners which fit to our criteria. The platform is also well structured and user-friendly. So it is very helpful for me in doing the project review

It’s a good advertisement to sell your business.

1. Good UI/ Overall operations & connections.
2. Few visual data of related industry metrics can be added.
3. Add a column of successful deals, when made, few testimonials post transaction. This will increase confidence.
4. Add a column of various schemes given by govt to businesses, this will help in decision making points and bridge the gap between deals.
5. Add a chatroom, so that new entrants can resolve their hiccup questions.

We have been using Smergers for over an year now. The best featurs of Smergers are: 1) Verified profiles 2) Comprehensive info on deals 3) Response from nearly 100% targets. Smergers is now a major part of our Business development exercise.
