Terrible service app always down, card being declined with money in the account and impossible to buy anything online this bank is absolutely the worst I have ever dealt with avoid at all costs!!!!

Where do I even start? This “service” is a nightmare. I’ve filed two formal complaints just about the app, and I’m not someone who complains lightly. Yet the app constantly crashes at the approval stage, leaving me unable to make even the simplest payments—bus tickets, groceries—because it refuses to function.
Then came 2-factor authentication, which doesn’t work. I couldn’t open the app or approve anything for days. Trying to buy a kitchen now and my card wouldn’t go through. I’ve called three times over a week, and every time I get different, contradictory excuses. Even after splitting the invoice to stay well under the spending limit, the payment failed.
They blamed me for spending a tiny €10 on Amazon, implying it pushed me over the limit—it didn’t! Not even close. After I've asked to review my account they agreed that yes it the amazon purchase didn't matter and still couldn't give me an explanation why the payment can't go through.
The app is a glorified beta, the service is abysmal, and they actively prevent you from accessing your own funds. I’ve had accounts in multiple countries and banks for 20+ years, and I’ve never experienced anything this diabolical. Avoid this bank. Do not open an account—ever.

Such a bad experience with An post it's a joke in this day and age. My money dissapeared while topping up my account , I have to wait 3 weeks until my 400 euro pending transaction automatically cancels due to this headache of a" bank ". They are an absolute joke and shouldn't be trusted with money.

Absolute disgrace
Absolute disgrace, I got scammed when I was out of the country and the customer service is the worst ever. There contacts says 24/7 but when you ring the numbers it says office closed. What a joke. Charge you monthly fees why when they arent even a bank. They overcharge for everything and give no help whatsoever. If only I could give 0 stars but there is no option too. Worst mistake opening an account with these people.

ANPOST IS NOT A BANK
Like other people on this review website I opened an account with AnPost when the Ulster Bank closed. I was with Natwest in the UK before that. Never a problem till I took out an account with this Mickey Mouse set up. Unable to do a transaction from Sterling to Euros as they are NOT A BANK. Don't waste your time it took 2yrs to set up a direct debit. RIDICULOUS. You'd be better off with a piggy bank.

Everytime speaking with customer service they say the previous person forgot to tick a box but it's 💯 solved now, then payment is taken the following week.. beyond useless. Local post office cannot help as its completely seperate. My app was frozen for 3 months and no one could help, so no access to anything.. avoid at all costs.

Almost a year on and my account has been frozen from the UK by guy who knows nothing: it always happens when there's a lot of money in it, which isn't often. Highly suspicious at this stage. The only thing they get right is charging the monthly fee. Joke of a 'Bank'. A year on I still can't get my balance at ATM's. Easy to get an account set up, but dropping a hammer on your foot is easy too ...

Avoid An Post Money at all costs!
If I could give zero stars I would. We moved our accounts from Ulster Bank to An Post Money in September 2022. Huge regrets - I have never come across anything on the scale of incompetence, tech issues, lack of customer service/followup. App didn't work much of the time, was unable to transfer money out of accounts, was unable to set up new payees, was unable to view transactions on joint account. It took up to 1 hour to speak to a customer service agent each time and the person never called back to check if issue was resolved. Sent emails and messages on social media. No response. Eventually called the lost/stolen credit card line and explained why. Had some follow up then but despite months of stress, even at the end had to contact 3 times to get statements. We were applying for a mortgage and this delayed everything. Gave us credit of €100 x 2 but honestly I would not stay with them for €1000s.

What went wrong this time is right! The app is down again, holiday ruined, can’t access funds. Have spent 2 days online and on hold trying to contact support services, finally got through on the phone and was told to email.. did so and received an automated response with a list of phone numbers and online links not even an assurance that my email would be read and responded to. Absolutely sick of an post, always an issue with app, card, payments etc it’s pathetic. Closing this account as soon as I get home. Thanks for ruining my holiday after spending thousands on it and can’t even buy my kids an ice cream now. I’m a carer with disabled children and we have been so let down by this account. Shame on a post, they are aware of the problems but refuse to fix them.

Haven't been able to access my online…
Haven't been able to access my current account through the app or website for two weeks now. Have called customer support multiple times, waiting on average 25 minutes to get through. IT support has been 'working on it's but no resolution as of yet. In the meantime, I'm unable to transfer money out of my account, access money in my savings jars, or even view my transactions. It's unacceptable. Have withdrawn all funds from my account and will be closing account as soon as possible.
