Penalised for being sick …
I have been going for a while now and doing really well. My issue is that I pay 6 weeks in advance and when I recently couldn't go due to an emergency dental issue, asked to use one of my 6 weeks holiday/sick was told NO they have to be booked in advance, despite the website saying if you cannot make it to another class you can. Emergencies are just that and aren't booked in advance. I am not the only who moans about this. If I miss an exercise class I dont get charged. It has put me off sadly.

This review is just for one group my daughter visited as she couldn’t make her normal group. My daughter visited Christ our servant king group in High Wycombe and she was spoken to so rudely. Oh you’ve put weight on don’t you know how to diet do you need help, this was so rude my daughter is only a size 10 and isn’t over weight. She came home upset from this and this could tip someone over the edge. My daughters normal group which is Wright Meadows High Wycombe is a lovely understand group and deserves 5 stars. My daughter goes to slimming world to maintain her weight as she has heart problems and wants to keep healthy. This review needs to be answered by the relevant group as this is not acceptable.

Disappointed......
Did have a very good consultant but she left and a male consultant came in and he wasn't inspiring or very encouraging at all so left and did it myself at home. Got so bored with the same things being repeated week in and week out.would be good to listen to some health benefits and short films or some extra incentives to loose the weight but number 1 needs are encouragement and if you aren't getting that then it's not worth going.

Cauliflower Mac n Cheese
Doing this for my wife. She has tried a few Slimming World/Iceland meals and been pleased but this latest one is a massive no no.
1. When cooked (in oven), looks nothing like the pic on the sleeve
2. Very watery
3. Some macaroni was hard and burnt around the edges
4. Cauliflower rock hard
We brought 2 of these so next one maybe try microwave or maybe the trash can.

Thieves - beware they hold your details!
i have previously been a slimming world member online, and when you cancel they do not clear your information or account, they hold on to all of your details, including payment details!! On 19th Jan 26 unbeknownst to me, Slimming world reenrolled me and took £20 from my bank. On 19th Feb 2026 i got a payment alert on my phone telling me slimming world had just taken £20. This was the first i was aware of it, and looked deeper. I opened my old slimming world account to find that i had a monthly auto renew subscription going and they were taking £20 a month without my consent from my account. Its not easy to navigate to find out how to cancel this but i have done so now. The fraud team at my bank says that it all looked above board because it was a subscription, but i never okayed it!! The bank have now put a lock on my card (another inconvenience to me!) So basically i am now £40 down and unable to use my card, and it seems i'm unable to wipe my data from Sliming worlds site. Absolutely awful behaviour.

When a member creates a Slimming World Online account, the terms and conditions explain that membership renews automatically each month at £20, unless future payments are switched off or an extended plan is chosen. We also send a renewal reminder a week before the payment is due, so members have the chance to cancel if they wish.
We never want any member to feel unhappy or treated unfairly, and we’d really like to look into this properly for you. If you could get in touch with our Digital Support team, we can take a few details, understand exactly what’s happened, and arrange the deletion of your information as requested. You can contact us by calling 0344 892 0413 (Monday–Thursday 9am–6pm, Friday 9am–5pm, Saturday 9am–11am), or via live chat (Monday–Friday 9am–9pm, Saturday 11am–1pm).

If i could get zero stars i would, all sw is in it for the money, first consult insulted me saying if i dont like it f off out the door when i approached about my converns, contacted regional manager about it for her to give me some excuss, 2nd no support changes times which not suit peoples life on signing up, 3rd even worse looks at u loke u dog poo on her shoe so left never return never even contacted me to see why, oh well £60 down drain but now i am doing on own with supportpartner saving my weekly fee. If u want recommening i would avoid this place gone down fast since ceo died

I love Slimming World..
I love Slimming World..! I believe that education is the way forward when learning how to not only lose weight but to control your weight. I have learnt so much from group meetings and from their website and I’m confident now to cook most recipes, with their guidance, so that the food is not only nutritious but low fat and tasty too. I don’t feel I’m missing out on anything and that helps me to keep on track and will help me maintain. I’m only 8lbs off target now after losing 6 stone 👍 I feel like a new person 😊

So much support given from people that have been in my shoes. So many free foods to enjoy. The recipes on the app are easy to follow and are delicious. Group support is second to none. Your consultant has been where you are, knows from experience your story, and knows how to guide you to where you want to be. They are there for you at all times.

Cannot use updated SW app
Annoyed to find i can no longer load the SW app on my smart phone. This is due to SW updating the app that allows you to scan when shopping or check online to see how many SWIPS in certain foods that are not listed in handbook they give you. have complained to company but was basically told ' tough luck' buy an updated phone................. If l could give 0 stars l would because of this.

We’re very sorry to hear that the most recent app update has meant you’re no longer able to access the Slimming World app on your phone.
We held off from making this update for as long as we possibly could, because we know that for a small number of members, updates can sometimes mean older devices are no longer fully supported.
However, with the important changes that were coming to our Food Optimising plan, we reached a point where we had no choice but to move forward. Without this update, many members would have missed out on the exciting new features and improvements that were launched in January.
While we know this doesn’t change what you’re experiencing, we continue supporting older versions of both Android and Apple software for as long as we feasibly can – and although keeping apps running smoothly on very old operating systems becomes increasingly difficult, we actually support more legacy versions than many other apps are able to.
We’re really sorry that this has left you feeling disappointed, and it was never our intention for you to feel dismissed. If you’d like, our team would be more than happy to take another look and see whether there are any workarounds or options available for your specific device.

Slimmming world changed my life
I've been following slimming world for nearly 5 years & I am a member of the online community.
The plan is easy to follow and the support from the dlimming world team is second to none.
There are regular zoom meeting, podcasts and an on-demand service. The features and motivational stories are fantastic.
Recipes galore to choose from, but you don't have to be a masterpiece....you can adapt everyday food in the optimising plan.
I have never felt deprived or restricted.
I successfully lost 11 stone in 4 years and through the support of the online community and the slimming world team, I have maintained my target weight for nearly a year.

Supportive online service from staff & members
I have been a member of Slimming World attending a class and also an online member. Personally being a member online is much better for me and I reached my target online last Summer of 2025 losing 1 & 1/2 stone and continued to maintain it. I'm a size 12 to 14 and of a certain age so this suits me perfectly.
The SW team staff offer advice online and regularly comment on notices added to the Community site which is both encouraging and constructive.
There are lots of tools online to access from Success stories, podcasts, recipes, the meal planner and the community is a site where other slimmers offer their tips and recipes, encouragement to other members and advice. The community, unlike other social media sites I've read about and deliberately avoid joining, are kind and non judgemental and offer encouragement.
I continue to be a member for now as it keeps me on track but I could swap to a class now and as a target member this would be free, however the online option suits me much better. I've recommended them to others so give it a go.
