We paid £3,300 for a four-night wedding stay, expecting a beautiful experience. Instead, we spent almost every day dealing with broken facilities, maintenance visits and endless phone calls.The music system didn’t work. I became trapped in an upstairs bathroom due to a faulty lock and had to shout from the balcony for help. The toilet broke, was repaired, then failed again within an hour, leaving our wedding guests flushing it with buckets!The hot tub was another disaster. The water was low, dirty and smelly. When Bill arrived, he immediately questioned how the water could be missing, claiming it had been fine on Monday. We then discovered standing water and equipment underneath. After approximately six chemical tablets were added, I developed a severe rash following its use and contacted my GP.The BBQ didn’t work, and the fireplace remote was broken. We were told the previous guests had broken the remote, meaning they already knew about that issue!Almost every complaint was met with “Oh, I’m sorry, I wasn’t aware.” Regarding the BBQ, Claire even suggested we might not have switched it on correctly!For £3,300, surely the property should be thoroughly inspected before guests arrive? Broken facilities should be repaired or disclosed before taking full payment!
Even on checkout day, someone arrived at 9:45am and sat outside waiting for us to leave, despite our checkout time being 10am.But what disappoints me most is the owner’s handling of our complaint.Claire offered £300 compensation, approximately 9% of the booking cost. I explained why this was inadequate considering the disruption to our wedding celebrations. A week later, I am still waiting for a response.We spent four days dealing with their problems, and now I am expected to chase the owner just to receive basic customer service?Taking £3,300 is one thing. Taking responsibility when things go wrong is another.We paid for a special wedding experience, not a property full of maintenance issues, excuses and unanswered complaints.Absolutely appalling experience and complaint handling. I would never book this property again.

The property was amazing. A few additional signs helping to locate the property would have been helpful. The pool was the highlight of our stay. Every generation used it throughout the weekend . The bedrooms in the main property were luxurious as were those on the attached cottage. A thoroughly enjoyable stay for the whole family who ranged from 12 to 80.

Everything was easy from choosing the property, to booking it, to arriving on the day.
The house had everything we required and a great time was had by all.

Perfect for a family gathering of all ages. Facilities excellent, clean and well kept and plenty of room outside for bbqs and outdoor games. Well worth a visit.

Crowcombe house was absolutely perfect for my 40th birthday weekend. We went as a family and were glad to have an ensuite in every room! It felt like the amount of guests staying had really been considered and there was plenty of plates, cutlery, kettles and ovens.

As a nice extra when we arrived there was a bottle of prosecco and a lemon cake for us to celebrate my birthday which was greatly appreciated. There was lots to do for the children and we all really enjoyed the swimming pool.

Would definitely return.

We had the most amazing time, the property was perfect for all our needs! The hosts went above and beyond with every detail! The play park and pool were perfect for the grandchildren and the fenced garden made it safe for the dogs too.

We had a fantastic stay at Meadows Drift for a birthday weekend celebration with 13 of us.

Sleeps12 booking & communication was great from start to finish, and the whole planning process was made so easy.

The hosts were lovely, helpful and always on hand when needed. The house was perfect for our group — spacious, comfortable and really well laid out. We loved the location and made great use of the fantastic facilities, especially the hot tub and games room.

It was the perfect place for a special celebration, and we would definitely recommend Meadows Drift / Sleeps12 for large groups. We had a brilliant time and would happily stay again!

Incredible property, amazing area, very special countryside villages and oldest pub I've ever been in!

A fantastic property in Crowcombe, Somerset. A perfect location to venture out and explore local beaches and other attractions.
The property itself was very clean with an excellent pool.
The owners were very friendly and easy to contact when required.
We had a great week and would certainly return.

We have used Sleeps12 twice now and have not been disappointed, the ease of booking & communication is great and the knowledge that the property will be exactly as described and expected is so comforting.
Cricklehaze did not disappoint, the owners Kate and Tim were on hand to show us the property and answer any question and the house was amazing so clean and had so much to offer, not forgetting the amazing fresh eggs off the farm!! Location was perfect with a supermarket only a few minutes down the road and a great farm shop (Barleymows) which is definitely worth a visit.

This is the 2nd time we’ve been to Garden Court and it’s still one of the nicest houses we’ve been to. Gardens kept beautifully and swimming pool great. Very well stocked with plenty of kitchen equipment. Everything you would need. Jake was very easy to contact. Stepping Stones pub 5 minute walk. Good food.

Prior to holiday contacted Sleeps 12 to confirm our requirements. Always found them approachable & helpful. Lots of choice of large family houses catering for multi generational families. Plenty of facilities to include large gardens, play equipment, pools, hot tubs & pool/football tables often included. Easy to choose house to meet everyones' needs.

Clear and helpful website making it easy to find a property and book. Staff helpful and professional and quick to respond to requests or provide information. I have used Sleeps12 on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed with them or the properties.

Beautiful house with all the facilities that you mightb need. we went in a group ofv 12 family members and we had a olovely time. beautiful viewsb with lovely greenery .Hotb tub was excellent. I highly recommend
this place to anyone. Lovely kitchen/Diner and the bedrooms are nicely dec orated .I give 5-star on every aspect of the place.
