Price confirmed over phone prior to pickup.
Driver picked us up. Started driving and then confirmed price - I disputed this as it was not the price I agreed to over the phone with control centre.
Driver then called controller - who started shouting over me and using an angry tone. Indirectly accused me of lying and that ‘I must pay extra’.
Not sure why on earth he thought it was okay to take on that unprofessional and rude tone as I was calm and not shouting? Who speaks to someone in that that way?
Felt extremely uncomfortable being on the motorway and having the controller shout at me from the drivers phone.
Overall, disgustingly unprofessional service. Who shouts at a (female) customer whilst they’re in the car with the driver? Anyone would feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe.
Can understand the bad reviews from others regarding controllers lieing etc.
Do not use this service. Better off paying few extra £ for reliable, professional, and overall better service via uber/ bolt.

I am writing to formally complain about what has been, without question, the worst experience I have had with a minicab company in over 45 years of travelling in London.
Not only is the service extremely unreliable, but I have also experienced what I can only describe as discriminatory and racist treatment. I initially tried to give the company the benefit of the doubt; however, repeated incidents have made it impossible to ignore the pattern of behaviour.
On multiple occasions, when booking a vehicle, the service has been inconsistent and dismissive. Drivers have been late, bookings have not been honoured properly, and communication has been poor. More concerning, however, is the way I have been treated compared to what I would expect as a paying customer. I have felt disrespected and unfairly treated, and this has caused significant inconvenience and distress.
It is unacceptable for any business, particularly one providing a public-facing service, to operate with such disregard for reliability, professionalism, and basic respect. Customers should not have to question whether they will be treated fairly or whether their journey is considered important.
I strongly urge the company to take this complaint seriously, investigate these issues thoroughly, and take immediate action to address both the service failures and the alleged discriminatory behaviour.
I will not be using this service again and would advise others to exercise caution.

Controllers Lie, shout, rude and get defensive. Ordered a car 2 days before required to pick me up from Heathrow airport! Were they on time no! Used Ramadan and drivers cancelling as an excuse. Respectfully if drivers cannot work or unreliable during that time put a notice online so customers choose whether to book or not. Their site states timely and reliable that’s a joke 1 hr after arrival the taxi picks me up it’s not good enough. The driver received collection instruction 30 mins after I should already be collected. If you have an urgent appointment or meeting avoid!
The customer service complaints line is a joke it’s the same rude controllers they have no idea what they’re talking about… tell you all different stories about the procedures spoke to 3 then the final agent I was advised I can only complain via email as the number isn’t really available for complaints. A serious joke don’t know how they are in operation!!! You’re better off booking an uber for extra ££ as they’re more reliable.

Absolutely shocking this company booked a cab for 4 pm and they have the cheek to tell me 4:30 the cab will be 10 minutes

I apply to become a pco driver but operators are a waste of time . The app it’s so horrible and low paid jobs. I don’t recommend. It’s a waste .

Taxi was not booked and did not arrive until 11:15
Cancelled the taxi and booked an Uber which arrived in 3 minutes of booking.
Understanding the price at Skyex is cheaper than uber however it is not worth the price difference of about £3-4. Moving forward I will always book with Uber/Bolt and at least I can see rather than waiting an extra 30 minutes for nothing.
Controller would say the taxi driver will call you in 5 minutes, Controllers just lie to shut you up

Once he arrived he was rude and aggressive blaming his controller in the office. No apology either. Not the best experience for a heart patient who has just had surgery.

Called the company and told them police are involved and they told me to come for them as they have nothing to hide. No apologies. Just complete self righteousness. On top of this drivers got lost on the way home, two circles round Trafalgar square, hit the curb twice then to top it off nearly crashed into another car twice.

If I could leave 0 I would. Had an incident in one of skyex cabs, phoned the office was told it was my fault, a very rude lady. Have reported it to the police as thankfully I had the car registration.

Totally unreliable and couldn’t give a damn.
Today I had a hospital scan for 9.20am. The taxi was pre-booked & confirmed 2 days ago for 8.30am. So I’m waiting outside the house early, no sign. Called them at 8.36am to be told they are now really busy, it’ll be at least 20 minutes, I said my booking was urgent. I called the hospital and they could only wait until 9.30am for me. I thought I could just about make it. Then I get a text saying they are still on the previous job, so another 12 minutes. The hospital couldn’t wait so cancelled my appointment and gave me a lecture about messing them around.
That specialist scan was for suspected cancer.
I had to fast for 6 hours for it. I’m diabetic too and had to remove my Freestyle monitor. So you can imagine how I am feeling - stressed, angry & extremely upset.
Surely a pre-booking to a hospital should be a on the roster of jobs priority.
So heads up, they are unreliable, I will be deleting their App & using Uber instead.
Skyex booking on 15th June 2025, afternoon.
At the time of booking this afternoon 15th June, I was advised by SkyEx the taxi would be 15 to 20 minutes. This was then extended by another 20 minutes when I rang to say the taxi had not arrived. The driver then refused to drive into the given location to pick up an 86 year old lady who was in pain due to Arthritis and has limited mobility.The driver asked for my elderly mother to be brought to the main road and get into the car while he was driving along in traffic, so he could save time. Despite telling him of my mum's condition, he spoke very rudely over the phone and refused point blank to turn into the church car park to pick up mum . He insisted my mum get in the car while he was stops in traffic, to the side. I walked up to his car which was on the road moving in traffic and pointed to him the turning into the car park which was three car lengths away, bu still he refused. Because my mum was in pain, and had been waiting for over an hour for the taxi, with the help of others in the church, we tried to walk mum to the roadside. When we came out of the church and were in the empty car park in front of the church, he saw us walking very slowly towards the road, he then turned the car around and came back five yards and turned into the car park which he had by now passed. Mum and my husband who also has health issues, then were able to get in the taxi safely and were driven home. I regularly use taxis, mostly skyex and most are polite but this taxi driver was arrogant, was shouting over the phone for us to come to the road to get in the taxi. No text messages were sent to me with vehicle details until at the end of the journey. If Skyex pride itself in giving good service and getting passengers safely to their destination, this driver either needs retraining or be removed from your employment. Generally speaking, Skyex is not reliable to arrive on the time given. They advertise heavily in the towns and local hospitals for people to use their company. If they company is not able to arrive on time, they should not take the booking. If they are delayed, they should have the decency to ring and inform the customer, instead of the customer ringing them because the taxi had not arrived.

Yesterday (13 March) my partner had an urgent doctor's appointment and I booked a cab 2 1/2 hours beforehand for the short trip to the surgery.
Ten minutes after it was due I rang up and was told it would be there in another 10 minutes. After a further 25 minutes I was told again it would be there in 10 to 15 minutes.
Needless to say that after waiting for an hour past the booked time I had to cancel it because it was too late and her GP would be leaving soon.
This isn't the first time this has happened to us!
A few years ago I got to know Dev, the founder of SkyEx, when I was doing voluntary work and he told us about the computer systems and how things work at the office (we were even given an opportunity to visit the office to see it all but that never materialised).
I can only wonder how a modern system can work if no driver turns up when I've booked well in advance for a short local journey?
Extremely annoying yet again when we rely on a service to take us to an important appointment!
