After viewing excellent online reviews of SKXMOD, I was intrigued. I'd often wondered whether I could buy or customise classic retro Casio watches with higher-quality materials and a more premium build. SKXMOD seemed to offer exactly what I was looking for.

Their website is well-designed, easy to navigate and offers an impressive range of customisation options with information about most things you may want to know before ordering.

I'm in the U.K and I must admit, I was initially a little hesitant about placing a fairly substantial order with a company based so far away in China. However, I decided to go ahead and ordered a Casio A168 in a stainless-steel finish, along with a black mod kit for another A168 and several extras, including different faceplates, metal bracelets and rubber straps, etc.

Unfortunately, I placed my order just before a major Chinese public holiday, so despite choosing express delivery, it understandably took a little longer than expected.

Communication with SKXMOD was actually very good. In most cases answering e-mails a day or so later, particularly better compared with some of the experiences mentioned in other reviews. They were polite, helpful and responsive to my enquiries. I was informed when the shipping label was created and subsequently received regular FedEx tracking updates.

My order arrived in approximately two weeks, although I suspect it would have arrived considerably sooner had it not been for the extended holiday period. That's certainly something worth bearing in mind when ordering from China.

Everything arrived in perfect condition, securely packaged and carefully protected. My first impressions of the quality are excellent, and so far, I'm extremely pleased with my purchases.

I would certainly consider ordering from SKXMOD again and look forward to seeing what other products and customisation options they might introduce in the future.

Are they cheap? No, but nor would I expect them to be. Quality materials, craftsmanship and specialist products come at a price, and from what I've seen so far, I believe their pricing is fair and reasonable for what you're getting.

Overall, a very positive first experience, and I'm happy to recommend SKXMOD based on my experience so far.

Ordered weeks ago, a few days after I get an email confirming it had been shipped with a tracking number. Two weeks later and the tracking hadn't updated so I emailed them and this is what they said....

Sorry we're having logistic and admin issues and we havent built it yet!!!!

Not only is it not clear that they are selling items (completed royale builds) they havent even put together yet, they lied and sent me that item sent confirmation email with the tracking number.

Now ive checked reddit and found out that they do this regularly, I personally think they're scammers but some people do seem to get stuff from them so ikn. Maybe theyre selective scammers or just incompetent, either way they dont deserve your money.

Alls well that ends well, i got my money back from PayPal.

Purchased a $200 kit to mod a Casio 1200. Kit looks great. I quite like the looks of it and the metal bracelet. Love affair stopped there. First trip to pool and case leaked water. Dried it out and tested. Yep it leaked.

I figured I was out of luck but sent an email anyway. Prompt response and sent a replacement as soon as stock came in. Second one is brilliant. The metal bracelet is excellent quality and comfortable to wear. If you want a Casio with a nice edge to it you will be happy. The only part of the original Casio I used was the actual module. The rest came from SKXMOD.

In my experience, you can trust SKXMOD to provide a quality product and good service if neeed.

Overpriced and made from poor materials. The cheap screws they provide are so weak two snapped inside my watch housing. They have effectively written off my limited edition Casio watch. They also forgot to send my order. Over a month after purchasing it hadn't turned up so I messaged to be told "sorry, we forgot, we're sending it now".
They're lucky they're not UK based otherwise I would have chased for a refund.

I ordered a custom Casio AK Ultra Generation 6 (Tiffany, Completed Build #19A) and paid $352 with some discount code. What I received instead was a completely different watch: a standard unmodified Casio MTP-1214, which has a much lower value. (50 USD)

This is not a small mistake it is a completely wrong item.

The package arrived sealed and I recorded a full unboxing video that clearly shows everything. The error happened before shipping. The customer care not reply me.

I feel extremely disappointed and honestly scammed. I was already hesitant about ordering from overseas, and this experience confirmed my concerns.

I contacted the seller and requested a full refund. If this is not resolved quickly, I will escalate the case through my legals and bank.

Be very careful when ordering.

Unable to contact the seller says email does not exist.. And a tracking number without a site to actually track the package… SCAM dont buy from them.

Customer service isn’t the greatest. They had me return a part to an address that got returned to sender. I don’t know if I’ll ever get my refund at this point.

Make sure you order the correct parts.

AVOID! Ordered watch strap, 21 days later still not deposited at couriers for despatch. They will not answer email, messanger, whatsapp and the phone number does not work.
had to go to paypal for non delivery of goods long process and no help again from store, very very poor.

Good enough conversion but way overpriced compared to others.
I got the all black version with the premium band. I choose to use the clasp instead of the buckle but had to revert back to the buckle as the clasp is of poor quality,flimsy and opened a few times with my wrist movement.
Try others at half the price

Have converted my Casio "Royale" from having a cheap vulnerable resin and acrylic case, to a matt stainless case with sapphire crystal incorporating a matching black rubber strap. The watch is now something to behold, and it has definitely been money very well spent. Conversion was easy, and online support when needed was very prompt. I could not be happier with the product and the end result.

I own their [SKXMOD] MATTE VERSION - MODDING KITS FOR AE-1200/1300 & DW-291H SERIES mod for the Casio Royale. It takes the Casio royale from a cheap plastic cool watch to a sapphire crystal stainless steel wonder! I genuinely love this mod and wear it daily. There is nothing like it in the world.
