I needed to replace my chairs remote control so I phoned Sherbourne and the call was answered by a human !!!
She was a very pleasant lady who knew exactly which one I needed simply by my description.
The remote control arrived through the post 2 days later and it was the RIGHT ONE !!
I really thought customer service like this had vanished forever.

I recently had a riser recliner delivered and I couldn’t be happier with it.

The fabric range was extensive and suited my preferences exactly & the qualityof their work is impeccable.

Customer service was a highlight for me. They were prompt in responding to my inquires and it is clear they really care about their customers and stand by their work.

Excellent customer service from initial contact to delivery. We bought our dear Mum a Cartmel motorised recliner with lift/tilt feature to help since a major stroke a few months ago. Her mobility has been severely impaired and consequently she has been suffering terrible depression and would regularly stay in bed all day. This beautiful chair has made a world of difference to her mood and she now happily gets out of bed each morning to sit in the comfiest chair we’ve ever known! We bought the petite size as she’s tiny and it fits her frame perfectly. We highly recommend Sherborne Upholstery, you will not be disappointed.

I needed a new handset for a recliner chair purchased about ten years ago. Called the company and the lady in the spares department identified the part I need. The price was very reasonable and shipped one the day of ordering. Excellent and very friendly service.

Was having an issue with the power box on my chair and the reception lady & a man who I assume was in management went above and beyond in helping me resolve my issue to fix the problem I was having. I can not state how helpful they were & could not could not think more highly

I bought a Keswick riser recliner chair for my dad from a local company (Hackett and Baines in Shildon County Durham, and their service was superb) but I totally forgot to register for the after sales warranty and when I realised, I had missed the 30 day window by 5 days. I emailed the company and asked if I could purchase the warranty as it was my fault I had forgotten to post the paperwork. I received a lovely reply from Julie who said just to post the paperwork and the warranty would be in place when they receive it. This is excellent customer service in my opinion and my dad is very happy with the chair.

Recently Purchased a Riser Recliner from Sherborne, I had specific requirements due to my ongoing illnesses and the help I received was excellent. Great quality chair which I'm very happy with. Thanks

Contacted Sherborne regarding a weak spring not holding up the footstool on our 2 seater Milburn recliner. Their customer service spares agent was very helpful and understanding. As the part is relatively small she offered to send a replacement spring at no charge. Now that's what I call excellent customer service.

Sherborne suite had just over a year terrible quality bought from Best of Honiton neither company willing to accept faults, my advice do not buy.

We recently purchased a Sherborne reclining three piece suite as we’ve been very happy with Sherborne in the past. It is comfortable and the electric motors are quiet. However within days we noticed that the material on the seats and foot rests puckered after use. We were told that this was a dressing issue and we needed to smooth them out with our hands after use. Some disappear but some don’t. Sherborne sent out an independent assessor to inspect it and said that since fire retardant foam filling is now used, the padding is not as thick as our old suite. He has reported that this is not a manufacturing issue so Sherborne have closed the case. We are left feeling very upset and disappointed with a suite that looks like we’ve had it for years, not months!

My elderly mother in law purchased a keswick 2 seater and recliner from a local retailer.
She says it's the most comfortable lounge suite she has has ever had.
Great value for money and was delivered quickly as promised.
Kathleen is telling her friends how good her new suite is.
I have also put on a v good review for the retailer.
A great experience all round.

I purchased a Sherborne adjustable bed - helped me sort out my problems on mobility and poor sleep and i would thoroughly recommend their products - the bed is clearly made to last.

Hi, we have been trying to buy replacement remotes for our recliners, prices on eBay £84/£94.
So tried Sherborne Factory, brilliant, £43 each and here in 3 days, pleasant to talk to, super service, and of course very happy with price. I can only assume previous dissapointed consumers have had bad retailers who are responsible in law, not the manufacturers. Toshout.

Customer Service at Sherborne is non existent.
An electrical fault in a brand new riser recliner is blamed on the retailer. Sherborne refuse to accept any responsibility for the manufacturing fault. They have offered neither recompense, nor a simple "sorry". It seems I, the customer, have no right to complain! Their telephone manner is sharp and snappy. The receptionist was the worst; brickwalling me, and refusing to put me through to someone in management. Eventually did, but left me hanging, and didn't even tell me to whom , or indeed if I was being tranferred.
Sherborne outsource repairs to another company who are also short, sharp and unhelpful.
I bought 2 riser recliner chairs brand new. One doesn't work. The other, in use for only 2 weeks is making grinding noises. The filling in the chair upholstery is not the best and doesnt offer enough support. After little use there are gaps and creases in the cushioning and chair feels too soft. It seems Sherborne are scrimping on the filling.
I can't book an engineer until a repair package is delivered to me. So it goes on! An antiquated system relying on reputation alone.

I cannot recommend Sherborne because of their shoddy product and their poor customer relation skills.

PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS ON HERE BEFORE YOU BUY ANYTHING WITH SHERBORNE UPHOLSTERY NAME ON IT AND SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF STRESS AND UPSET, BECAUSE WHEN YOU HAVE HANDED YOUR MONEY OVER THEN THEY ABSOLUTELY DO NOT CARE !!!

I paid £1060 for this chair, there is no way could any older person or anyone with disabilities be able to use it.

The side of the chair has got a very sharp industrial staple sticking out, I have cut myself quite badly on it and bled a lot, this was a shock and a really upsetting experience and I would not have expected the quality or the workmanship of this chair to be so poor considering the amount of money it cost me being £1060 , I would have expected better with it being a British make.
Also, to get it to recline requires for the back of the chair to be pushed back with quite a lot of force with the persons back it’s a cantelever strong spring and it is painful to do it, while in the reclined position the back of the chair constantly is putting a lot of pressure on my spine and neck as I have to keep the force of the pressure on the back of the chair as it is constantly pushing me forward making it impossible for me to be able to relax in it.
The Consumer Rights act make it an implied term of the contract that the goods be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality.

As your contract of sale is with Rooms, I am afraid there is little we can do for you, we cannot get into a debate that is ongoing between yourselves and your retailer.
I hope you can get this resolved.

I did try to resolve the problems with the place I bought it from and they offered to send someone with a hammer to bash the staple back in. I said I could do that myself BUT it wouldn’t solve the other problems would it. They refused to do anything about it, they refused to take the chair back.

I have just read the positive reviews on here.
Please don’t be fooled by their customer service for buying spare parts.
Before I bought the new recliner chair from them I ordered a spare part for my old recliner chair and they were very helpful and lovely..and that being the reason I spent all that money on a brand new recliner from them..because I trusted them.
Save your money, stress and mental well being because it was a whole different scenario when I had problems and couldn’t use the new recliner. Never pay them cash use your credit or debit card to pay, the bank is very helpfull in these situations in giving you your money back.

A complete waste of £4600 for a Super King adjustable bed, two visits from their repairer one in two weeks of delivery, and less than a year old another visit as the bed recliner on both sides near the headboard had bowed by 2 inches and the mattresses had kinked, according to the report no manufacturing faults were found, had loads of photo's but have fallen on deaf ears and no chance of refunding or replacement of the faulty items except a goodwill gesture by the retailer only one half, after a rather rather disturbing discussion he would do no more, so much for customer service very very disappointed.

Have lost money after these 2 Sherborne sofas were delivered with this smell of mould coming from the arms and wings. The retailer has been busy trying to protect their money and denied the smell even though everyone coming into the room when the doors were closed could smell it. It is almost impossible to prove a problem like this if the retailer is not supportive. The retailer has now sold on the faulty Sherborne furniture and charged me £720 for the privilege when it was not my fault in the first place and should have gone back to the manufacturer Sherborne. I would never buy Sherborne Furniture again and never recommend anyone to do so. Out of pocket and 4 months of hell with the worry.

We bought 2 armchairs and a sofa from this company 6 years ago.The frame on one of the chairs is broken and so the chair is un usable.I contacted the company and the attitude is one of..its out of guarantee now so nothing to do with us.
I am sure no one expects to have to buy another suite after 6 years .They claim their furniture is " Robust".I think anyone would agree that the frame on a robust chair should last far longer than 6 years.
Don`t waste your money.In my own experience the furniture is poorly made,and the company dismisive.
