Terrible customer service. Delivery was quoted between 2 - 4 weeks. Six weeks later I'm still waiting for a confirmed delivery date. Again it was suggested we go to London to collect.
Payment in full received. Dreadful attitude from the person supposed to be assisting who says he's the MD.
Do not use.
I wish I'd read some of the reviews on here before placing my order for a smoking shelter. The customer service I have received has been absolutely DISGUSTING!! And the quality of the shelter is rather poor too!
The website says 2-4 weeks lead time. We had to wait over 8 weeks - it would have been quicker if I ordered from abroad (14-40 days!!). I challenged the delivery and was informed that I could pay an extra £282 or collect it myself (from London)!!
A disgraceful attitude from a British company.
I certainly won't be using them again, and will go out of my way to ensure nobody else does either!
Ordered on a Monday, delivered on the Wednesday at no extra cost, easy ordering page on the website and so quick to deliver, I will use this company again for shelters. Outstanding service. Thank you Shelter Store.
The online chat from their website was very clear and answered queries I had before I purchased my bike shelter. Delivery was in 10 working days with zero hassle. I found Shelter Store to be helpful and good value.
My boss asked me to order a smoking shelter, which isn't my area of expertise!! Big thank you to Shak for helping me get the right one and my colleagues are all happy with it. Highly recommend A+++ :)
Awful. Utterly awful. No call backs. Delay after delay. Sharp edged poorlynfinsihed product they refuse to take back or refund. Free delivery is non existent. Waited three weeks after ordering 26th July and was told mid September! Everyone who answers claims to be the MD. Not a clue between them. Contradict themselves in writing and dont see it. Save yourself some time. Take 700.00 and throw it in the bin. I was a returning customer. Take note how old any good reviews are.
I wish i'd read some of the reviews on here before placing my order for a bin store. The customer service I have received has been absolutely TERRIBLE.
I originally emailed signed plans confirming dimensions for the bin store. A susequent phone call 2 weeks later was met with suprise because they claimed that the email had never been received, even though it was sent to two different email addresses and was sat in my sent messages. I was then assured tat the store would be delivered within 2 weeks of speaking to them, whcih came and went. Another phone call made to find out where it was and they stated it would be atleast another two weeks for delivery. I told them this wasn't good enough and now having paid in full up front have been told I wil only receive a 60% refund. This is simply not good enough in my eyes as they have not fulfilled their part fo the agreement to supply the store within a reasonable time. I am now having to take them to the small claims court to get back the remainder of the money.
Stear clear of this company at all costs - they'll most likely mess you around and cost you a lot of money.
Ordered a bike rack over a month ago with expected delivery in 5-6 days! Numerous E-Mails and phone calls made but no joy apart from some very imaginative stories and excuses. I am in the process of recovering my money using the Visa chargeback scheme. Do not use.
We ordered and installed a BDS Toastrack shelter from this comoany. The fixing of the pllycarbonate covering is poor, relying on self drilling screws near the edges, with no strengthdning. As a result, following the sheler bring used as a footbsll gosl by local youngsters, the plastic cracked at the fixings and eventually had to be removed.
We are trying to get a suitable replacement covering with stronger fixings, but are getting a very sporadic response from the company. They very rarely respond to emails.
The only positive comment in this site us from their business manager, giving a false average rating.
We ordered a bike shelter with a galvanized and powder coating finish. A short time after it had been erected rust started to appear. A closer inspection found the steel frame had not been galvanized. Emailed to explain the situation and was told that the rust was caused by us chipping the paint, and they would send a tin of zinc and topcoat touch up paint as a "gesture of good will" Many promises of return phone calls to sort the problem have not transpired.
Also very strange that the only positive review on this site is by an employee from there office.................
ordered a bike stand in March, as of 16th July still no delivery. Have sent emails and made phone calls but have received no response to emails and have received no returning phone calls even though I was told this would occur. No refund either.
Very very poor customer service - in fact non-existent. Poor company ethos - ignore customers appears to be the stance.
