These people are unreliable, seem to like locking you out of your account and not transferring funds out of your account as instructed.Announce 35 minute waiting time to answer the phone, unacceptable when I’ve got circa £300 k invested for nearly ten years. They tell you that they have transferred your money when they haven’t. They give you incorrect information and are not trustworthy, I’m going to start legal proceedings.

Reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because there are a few other companies out there with ISA rates slightly higher. I have had good service from Shawbrook for a number of years but decided to stay.

I wished to transfer funds but wanted to change my linked account but not possible to do online. Wrote through message centre asking how to change link. After hours I had a message to look at my messages online. They asked for details of new linked account which I gave. When I telephoned, I was told that there was a 25 minute wait. My funds had not been received in either original linked account or new. Called today and was told funds were sent to original linked account and was told to contact that bank. Contacted them and asked to speak with a manager. I was told I would get a call within 24 hours. Again contacted message centre twice and have not had a response. Had their system allowed me to change nominated account online and had they not had a 25 minute wait to speak to someone, this would never have happened. They need to improve the service they give to their customers and drastically change their communication system.

No waiting for the call to be answered. The man who answered gave me all the help I needed in opening another account with you.
I do not give 5 star reviews easy but I a more than happy to do so now.

The improvement idea is to ensure a rolled over ISA, which is given a new a/c number be highlighted to the customer. Eliminating the problem that occurred.
My ISA transfer out to RBS was a nightmare. I am disappointed with the service & professionalism of Shawbrook.
A series of conflicting emails, + misinformation led to several trips to Berwick( not close by) to clarify matters in branch with the RBS, re submitting the forms, countless phone calls to Shawbrook & secure messages over a protracted period.Today, after maturity, I have received 2 emails from Shawbrook one saying the opposite to the other!
The frustration, anxiety & unnecessary time spent, to say nothing of the cost of phone calls, travel etc is unacceptable.Banks need to be efficient when handling customer savings. I do not feel confident In Shawbrook’s service.
This has taken so long to resolve such a simple matter, I had to secure an extension to opening the RBS a/c as it had not been furnished with the funds held in the timeframe specified.
I feel some compensation for my costs in time & energy expounded in trying to complete this exercise would be appropriate.

I get a higher interest rate on Saga instant access account than your 90day notice account and thats why I'm moving my money

Their website could be more user friendly, the security checking is a bit hit and miss.
Getting through to anyone is a long and boring process.
Their saving rates are sometimes competitive.
There are worse organisations to deal with, but there are also better ones too!
