No chips for tea!
Ordered a few items in October 2023 - especially wanted the deep fat fryer which did not arrive. I did telephone them and was assured it would be with me for 4th November - didn't arrive so phoned again and was told it would be with me for 11th November. Again it did not arrive. Not trusting their reassurances I did email them twice but no reply to either. Finally cancelled my order and asked them for reimbursement. Why advertise goods if you can't supply them.

My 85 year old mother placed an order for 16 LED bulbs on the 29th August. 3 arrived the week after which were incorrect. These were sent back at a cost of £6.95 deducted from her credited amount.
On the 4th November a further 12 bulbs arrived - 4 again screw fit which should be bayonet, the replacement bulbs from August that were delivered incorrectly we're still waiting on. I've sent an e-mail with no reply. Spoke with Tracey on the customer service team who took no responsibility and kept having to check with her TL (Team Leader I surmise).
I was on the phone for 36 minutes, when she said she'd sent a note to Swindon I have no idea who Swindon are and they would be in touch, then cut me off. As it stands I have no idea if 'Swindon' will call me back and a mother sitting in darkness with bulbs that don't fit........the sage continues!
Why oh why do people use this company
Why oh why do people use this company? Oh that's right I know - they continue to advertise in older people's magazines and newspapers and take advantage of the elderly and the vulnerable with their over priced rubbish! My father passed away and I've called 3 times to have the catalogues stopped - their customer service is absolutely appalling! Not one iota of empathy and all they want is the customer number? I don't have it - which part of my dad has died are you not getting here? There should be some kind of regulation for crooks like these! If I could give minus stars I would. Stay clear!
Items not as described - low quality high cost
This company recently took over Scotts of Stow. I purchased something that was an expensive item to replace something that had been purchased from them years previously. The previous product was TIMES better than what arrived. In order to view the product I had to unwrap it. I immediately knew it was poor quality and contacted the company. They are refusing to accept the item - which I simply do not want as it is not as described - or refund nor have offered any alternative resolution. I would be wary purchasing as costs compared appear to be HIGH. It's extremely frustrating. A similar complaint from relative who had gifted the previous product and recommended the company - with a purchase they had made providing a product different to what they were expecting based on appearances. complaint and return procedures shambolic and poorly communicated.

This company has zero customer service. I wanted an order cancelled after finding it literally £12 cheaper on another site. The whole order was £31 so this was a pretty huge percentage! I contacted them immediately - the order had been placed minutes before I contacted them. I received a generic email (I assume written by AI) from an EU email address and no responses at all to my follow up emails. Furious to see they have now dispatched the item I wanted cancelled.
Money still owing to us from faulty item
Despite my elderly mother being a very regular customer, a mobile phone she bought was faulty - they dragged this out for ages then said they'd gone bankrupt (despite being very happy to still take her money and sell her items). We have had no further information about getting this money back, and a recent email requesting this went unanswered (email to change address for catalogue was answered immediately). I am appalled they can do this - so be warned, it's great until it goes wrong, then good luck dealing with them.

Poor customer service when something isn’t right
I bought two packs of Carissima comfort bras. Within 3-4 months two of them had unravelled at the band round the middle making them unwearable. Scott’s of Stows only response was that they were out of the 30 day money back guarantee. Disappointed that Scott’s of Stow only think bras should last 30 days.
Do not use this company!!
Placed a large order - there was no confirmation message on their website and I didn’t receive a confirmation email , so I called them. The man I spoke to said the order definitely hadn’t gone through, so I placed it again. Same thing happened. This time when I called, I was told both orders had gone through and that I’d be charged for both. The woman I spoke to cancelled one order and refunded me, but for a week I was £300 out of pocket.
Then the deliveries started. They sent me two of everything, except zero of one item. I still don’t have a confirmation email or an order number - for either order!
I called up to try and sort this out and the man I spoke to on the phone was rude and unhelpful. He told me he was unable to look into the missing item and refused to put me through to a manager. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!
Zero customer service
I have tried several times to stop them sending catalogues but they have continued to do so. When I phoned again today, the assistant was extremely unhelpful and said she did not know if she would be able to stop the unwanted mail. I asked to make a formal complaint and she refused.
When I phoned again this afternoon to make a complaint, the man I spoke to was much more polite, but said he was unable to take a complaint and that I would have to send an email.
He gave me an email address which I double checked with him. I later sent an email have now been informed that the email address does not exist!

Bought an electric weeder from their store in Stow whilst on holidays. On returning home realised it is not complete and can’t be used. Tried every number on the internet - not in service. I rang the customer service line who only deal with online purchases but gave me a number for the shop. Number not recognised. I sent an email - no answer. So message us - don’t buy from their shops if you are not local
Truly appalling and disorganised
Beyond a joke. Placed an order & my credit card was charged. It didn't arrive. Numerous e-mails to them totally ignored. Called them. No record of my order. They promised a refund. Partial refund only received. Numerous e-mails to them re refund totally ignored. Balance of refund eventually received. New order placed. Nothing received. numerous e-mails to them re order totally ignored. Called them. they said they had sent it again. Numerous e-mails to them re order totally ignored. Called them again and they said that most of the items I ordered were out of stock so they couldnt supply them. Partial order then received. NEVER AGAIN WILL I SHOP WITH THESE PEOPLE.

I have bought products from Bloom (part of Scotts of Stow) for many years and always been happy with quality and service. I understand that they have now become part of Woolovers.
On 4 July 2023 I ordered two items via PayPal which took a fortnight to arrive.
The quality was no better than could be bought on a market stall. I informed Scotts that I wanted a refund and the goods were collected by Evri on 19 July.
The refund did not appear on my PayPal account and I told Scotts who on three occasions told me that the refund had been processed and i would receive it in 3 to 5 working days.
Nothing arrived so I complained to PayPal who pursued Scotts.
Today 9 September I received the refund from PayPal.
I will never deal with Scotts again.

Worse shopping experience I have ever had ordered the lawnmower and scarifier neither turned up. The rest of the goods eventually turned up. Was advised to reorder which I did money again taken out only to be told it wasn't available so why did they advertise it.
Got the money back ok but I feel totally let down and no apology nothing.
I have been shopping with this company for years and was really happy with the service but since they were taken over by Woolovers the service has gone to the dogs.

I need to warn others about this company based on my experience of trying to get a refund on a return. An item I ordered needed to be sent back due to poor design. The item was collected by Evri on the 11th of July and then no further information. On 2nd of Aug I followed up with an email to Jade at Scotts customer service and got a response from Jason who said that the refund had been issued and would take 2 or 3 days. After no refund, I followed up with Jason 17th of Aug querying why no refund. On 18th of Aug, a reply came from Dinma who said that due to an error the refund was placed on hold but it was now released and should be in my account the next day. It was not. On 23rd of August I wrote back to Dinma to say that this was not satisfactory as I have been waiting over a month for a simple refund. So not a good experience as it looks like my refund will never happen.

Awful. I believe any positive recent reviews have been paid for. Took my aunts money seven weeks ago. Never said anything about delays. Seven weeks later, one item cancelled, one arrived but wasn't as ordered and the most costly item (£249) no info on its location. All whilst you have to phone them on a PREMIUM rate customer service number. Call centre lies about being in the UK. Suspect actually in India. Total scam artists. Without any care or kindness to their customers whatsoever.
Missing item from order. Promised refund not forthcoming.
Ordered 2 items from these on 7th July 2023. 1 item delivered on 23rd July. Other item apparently "lost in transit" according to scotts. They promised a refund for missing item within 5 working days. Refund has not materialised, neither has missing item. They have since failed to respond to 4 emails and I can only conclude that I will have to take legal action if they fail to return my money.

Bought a sofa for my son as he was moving into a new house
He had to phone to delay delivery only to be told the company Scott’s of stow were dealing with had cancelled his order and gone bust
Not at any time did they make any contact with me or my son to let us know
Then the fun began telling us the refund had been paid
I had to contact them on several occasions to be told finally they would send me a cheque as I didn’t pay by cheque this was not acceptable
So ended up claiming money back through credit card company
Will never buy anything again from these clowns

At no time was I advised that it was to be a split delivery. No parerwork was included with the delivery. I was charged nearly £9 to ring up to find out what was going on I was told that the missing item would be delivered in a few days Split deliveries are acceptable non notification of the same is not
