Joanna arranged our fantastic Southern African trip. Six different locations four internal flights, four countries, two safaris, whale watching and vineyard trips. Every detail was covered perfectly from being met at the airport to road transfers. The hotels were great and the safaris recommended. The holiday exceeded our expectations.

Our trip to Namibia included a tremendous variety of activities and encounters, as well as superb opportunities to view the landscapes, birds and animals of this magical country. Accommodation, transport and hospitality were all just perfect, and we are very grateful to Ross for his knowledge, enthusiasm and professionalism in arranging our wonderful holiday..

Our experience with Journeysmiths and particularly Ross was outstanding fron start to finish. We wanted to go on a once in a life time safari trip and we had no idea where to start, Ross guided us through the entire process. Every single detail was taken care of to the highest level, they went above and beyond and everyone we met along the way was brilliant, at every stage of the trip we thought it couldn't get better... but it did!

Amazing experience! Really took care of everything and made sure we had the best time on every part of our 5 week long European trip.

Paul our travel consultant was attentive to details regarding what our interest was as well as locations to visit that would suit the needs of going on safari with our two children ages 9 &13. They were engaged the entire time, had what they are calling their best trip yet all whilst we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and participated in a cultural blessing ceremony with our children to renew our vows. Our trip was simply stunning, there were so many pinch me moments I can not even list them! A Safari holiday is been my favourite vacation. my trip to Kenya was my third with Journeysmiths. The first was in 1999 and I went on my second one to Africa 23 years later, when I was well into my 80s. My ability to undertake such an activity filled. Holiday was never questioned, and there is always someone at hand to help carrying my bags for me!
I really loved what Kenya had to offer in the way of variety and numbers of game we saw each day. As always, the African guides and drivers were superb. The encyclopaedic knowledge of every creature we encountered was exceptional in particular the school and hearing of their drivers when crossing stony and Bush covered ground to get close to the animals was really unbelievable.
Journeysmiths always seem to find something really special to share with their clients, and on this trip we were given exclusive access to an event where is seen by the public. This was the arrival of two container, transport lorries, carrying three rhinos to the private park where we were staying.. we witnessed them bursting out of their containers, galloping away into the far distance in no time at all. Journeysmiths actively support conservation in Africa such as saving endangered species and they also financially support charities working to protect natural environments and Adrian local communities.
Finally, the holiday was enjoyed because of the people I went. Our group was led by Rory Wood, a member of staff from Journeysmiths, who was an excellent communicator. He was very open to varying daily timetables when needed or requested and all the time hard working on our behalf. The rapport within the group was extremely good and was just what was needed to make the whole trip so enjoyable.

We just returned from a fabulous safari organized by Paul and his team. Their attention to detail was perfect. We were very well taken care of by Journeysmiths, and would definitely work with them again the in future!

Our trip to India with Journeysmiths was exceptional, with our contact (Ross) on top of even the smallest detail. The suggested itinerary was perfectly thought out and provided a welcome mix of cultural experiences and natural wonders. Organisation 'on the ground' was seamless, including our transport, guides and other local contact. All accommodation exceeded our expectations and ensured we actively looked forward to returning to our hotel every day, despite the fun we were having. Ross recently put together a holiday for Tim & I including a Safari in the Serengeti and beach break on Zanzibar.
I had already been on safari before but it was Tim's first time. Ross took the time to investigate different options which would give me something different from before but give Tim the best experience for his first time. Nothing was too much trouble and we soon had the perfect itinerary including a Hot Air Balloon trip. From the first phone call to receiving all our documents everything was perfect, questions answered quickly, items arrived on time. This is the third time I have used the company and I will be using them next time we go on Safari.

Journeysmiths provided an absolutely amazing experience for our first trip to Africa. From a forest camp (Kitich) in Kenya, to mountain gorillas in Uganda and then the Masai Mara- our trip was a dream. Paul coordinated every detail with perfection and we loved our adventure. Our guides were incredible, the hospitality was endless, we raved about the food, and the animals-breathtaking. I will work with Journeysmiths again!

The most amazing holiday ever!! From our initial call, Paul listened carefully to what we wanted and provided us with numerous options to achieve our dream holiday. He organised everything to perfection and we didn't need to worry about a thing. Our holiday to South Africa on Safari for 4 days at Madikwe Reserve followed by 3 days in Cape town was absolutely incredible. We were so impressed from start to finish, flights, accommodation, transfers, day trips in fact everything was top class and went without an itch. We would certainly recommend Paul and Journeysmiths to anyone wanting such a special adventure, their knowledge was paramount in providing myself and my family with memories that we hold close to our hearts forever. We have too many highlights from this holiday to name but are extremely grateful that we chose to use Journeysmiths to make our dreams come true and would without question trust you again to organise our next adventure.

We spoke with several companies and went with JourneySmiths because Ross, from day one, was incredibly responsive, knowledgeable and professional.

Based on our discussions, he flawlessly organized the adventure of a lifetime! No detail was missed. The accommodations and staff everywhere that we went were truly amazing, without exception, and travel from one location to the next on smaller flights and bush planes were all taken care of.

We spent 10 days on safari in Tanzania (Tarangire National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater and the Sergengeti). Our guide was incredible with an endless knowledge base, and we saw everything!

Following our safari, we went on to Rwanda for four days to gorilla trek and sight see. It's a beautiful, unbelievably clean city with amazing scenery and we highly recommend the gorillas!

Having now experienced JourneySmiths, and Ross, there's no one else that I would travel with!

Since 2010 Journeysmiths (JS) have been advising us and arranging holidays all over the world. On every occasion they have excelled. Many have included multiple family members. Our recent trip to Kenya was a little different, involving a small group of clients known to JS, a sustainability journalist Jonny Bierman, and Rory (Head of Sustainability at JS), who had arranged the whole experience, and continued to attend to every detail along the way as well as being good company. The trip was a safari with the additional unique focus toward "on the ground" conservation, and meeting the game changers making a difference in Kenya. The profits from the trip directly benefit these people and the conservancies we visited. The whole experience, and sharing it with a group of like minded people added an extra dimension. Once again JS went above and beyond creating another "trip of a lifetime".
We are looking forward to our next 2 trips already in the making!
