Not happy with the service. We have been going back and forth since the last 6 months to cancel our contract as they can't provide the functionality we require.

Very good and easy to use for Pharmacy

Very good and easy to use Pharmacy software, user friendly and easy to understand with lots of option available for Nursing home MAR Chart or community tray (MDS) patient.
It does not cost much as other provider.
As its online system, you can access multiple record at time by opening other window, that does not disturb your current work.

Go for it.

robust system

Having used the system for over 3 years I can confidently say it has been a major cost saver. The system is very easy to use and rarely crashes. We would recommend this system to anyone looking to save money but also enjoy a solid system that provides all the major functionities required to operate a pharmacy.

The IT support service is also very efficient and any issues are usually dealt with swiftly.

Great system

We have used the system for over 2 years and have very few issues. Compared to systems we have used previously the software is very reliable and rarely crashes.

I believe it to be a pretty simple system to use and I like the flexibility it gives you as you select your own hardware to use.

Some of the reviews mention the slow EPS printing. Whilst this is true, and probably the biggest weakness of the system, we feel the positives far outweigh this small negative point. People who mention they can only print 4 tokens at a time must be using a potatoe as a computer... our £350 Dell computer easily handles the 10 tokens at once.

We have saved easily 6k over 2 years compared to the previous system as well, which is a nice bonus.

Rx web is the best user-friendly…

Rx web is the best user-friendly system. It's very simple and straight forward to generate labels and repeat dispensing. It saves a lot of time compared to other systems available in the market. I would definitely recommend Rx Web to anyone.

i am staggered to read some of the poor…

i am staggered to read some of the poor reviews here - i have used rxweb for many years (15?) and always found the company and products excellect .
Company wise - which i believe is the purpose of the website then particularly since rx web has been under the stewardship of clan william the product has developed extensively to bring in many valueable benefits at extremely modest cost.
we find it slick to use and most importantly extremely roboust compared to other 'stand alone ' systems which we have used in our estate over the years . having multiple branches , being able to access records in an emergency , or process EPS scripts during a powercut or local line failure ( they get stolen in our area !) across the estate has been called on many times .

the flexibility built in to the labelling system means there are very many settings and variables which i can only imagine other customers may not have optimised - i would gladly help anyone if needed 07770441706 .

we use our system in conjunction with Dataplast Navigator and that runs a warehouse program , directs the purchases (to well over 10 levels) and has an FMD element ( i have no experience of rxweb fmd)

we have built up contacts to source equipment amazingly low cost - and run up to 15 terminals in one site as they so cheap no need to hamper staff with just one or two .

The time and cost saving over the years really adds up - try it !

Questionable

Recently signed contract for FMD, then after a week, changed my mind and wanted to use a different FMD provider. Rxweb said there's no cooling off period with this contract and that i'm stuck with them. Really disappointed as i have been an advocate of Rxweb for years.

Avoid this system

Avoid this system. It is not a system that is anywhere near fully developed or has the functionality to be able to support the required task of what it is designed to do. The companies main achievement is that they have sold the system into Tesco's pharmacy, but the system has had ongoing problems and Tesco's to are looking to drop the system. As with previous comment avoid at all cost!

AVOID RXWEB AT ALL COSTS

I’ve used many different software packages and RxWeb is the ABSOLUTE WORST piece of software I have ever used. It’s based on flash, an old out of date website platform which nobody uses any more, a platform which consumes your computer’s resources, which crashes, which has many bugs and simply does not work! The home screen is small, the designers have decided to keep to the flash default of 800x600 pixels, a resolution that was used back in the 90’s. This means that you see VERY limited information in your field of view and subsequently need to use scroll bars to move across side to side. It’s ridiculous. You might be a busy pharmacy and download 100 prescriptions...with other software you simply press print once...but not for RxWeb. You must select 4, print, then wait as the sluggish flash-based system opens 4 tabs, printing each prescription in a random order (you cannot print alphabetically, even when you put the prescription list in alphabetical order). Then after each tab closes, you select another 4 and repeat this. Sometimes the tab will fail to load and you will see “this page cannot be displayed”. Or the web browser will simply grind to a halt as it struggles. They claim you can print 10 but your computer will crash almost every time with 10. You then close down internet explorer, reopen, and then see that the prescriptions which failed to print have been marked down as “printed successfully”. You now need to print everything again since the system falsely assumes that prescriptions have been printed. You then need to ask your dispenser to sort through the duplicate prescriptions and put them into alphabetical order. At this point, you would be forgiven for thinking this is outrageous, and I’ve barely even started! Let’s talk about ordering now. I work in a Tesco. We have three suppliers but our primary supplier is Oakwood. When you dispense a prescription, the item is added to Oakwood’s list. There’s no option for the order to send automatically. You must set yourself an alarm for 7pm every day. When you launch the order screen, it displays a full sized page with an array of small lists corresponding to each supplier. You can barely see what’s on these lists at this stage. It’s completely pointless. You click to enlarge the order list, check it, then press send when you’re happy. In the corner, you see a status box which constantly states “order failed to send”. But don’t worry, your order did send, that little box is wrong. You then need to wait and refresh the order screen a few times. Several items will say “not supply” in Oakwood so you call AAH over the phone and order manually. The following morning, you see that some of these “not supply” items were in fact passed on to AAH in the background without you knowing. This means that you have double the quantity of certain items and you now need to return some...more work on top of everything else. Another problem. You’ve got this array of 8 orders you sent yesterday and you want to search for a particular drug. You’ve got a customer waiting and you want to clarify if it was ordered successfully. There’s no search box. You have to manually scroll through this clunky slow user interface up and down each order to try and find the drug you’re looking for. And sometimes the drug nomenclature is bonkers. You will be looking for “Sukkarto” but it will be listed in the order has “Metformin modified release [sukkarto]”. Sometimes you’ll forget and order it again as you can’t see it in the list and once again, you end up with double the quantity! Let’s talk about user interface. Sometimes you’ll want to make a clinical decision based on PMR data i.e a patients drug history. There are certain times during the day where the website simply cannot handle the traffic, and when you browse through the patient’s PMR, it actually shows as empty! Again this is outrageous, and a huge safety issue. How can you practice safely with incorrect PMR data? When RxWeb website runs slow, I immediately perform an internet speed test on the machine I’m using, and I see that the internet is speed is fine, it is consistently 10mb/s which is enough for the transmission of small amounts of text data. Technical support? It’s practically non-existent. Before Tesco established their own support line, you’d get through to their Irish contact centre. On several occasions, I have been told to “google it” when asked for help. And as above, you can see the problems I am experiencing. The solutions to these can’t simply be found on Google. They require engineer support. And while we’re on this note, I should mention that, in order to create a new user on your system, you actually need to phone the support centre up, wait up to 20 minutes to get though, then get them to remotely control your computer and set you up. Completely unheard of. I could go on a lot further...

Despicable software run by irresponsible and negligent owners/managers

We have been using Rxweb's despicable software for 5 years now. For the first 3 years (2013 to 2016) their software failed on almost daily basis. We had huge amounts of downtime. We were literally on the phone to them for assistance almost every single day of the working week. Since 2016 they improve massively but we still experience problems virtually every time there is an update. For example today we experience a downtime of 50mins from 9am when we realised until 9:50am. I would guess it was probably down from midnight but we only realised when we opened up.

Over the years and through the many many conversations we have had with this irresponsible company it is clear to me that their competence is in question. Their staff are often clueless. They are very dishonest and constantly blame the nhs spine for their problems which is clear and verifiable when all other softwares work except theirs! Rxweb please remember that pharmacists know other pharmacists so when you tell us the nhs spine is down it takes me 2 minutes to call a few friends to check if their systems are working! so think before you lie and destroy the reputation of your company!

After years of complaints it seems you have finally learned not to do your updates on Fridays. You still do it on a weekday even though you should know from your extremely poor track record that you screw up something every time you perform an update and usual you always fail to test and let the customer discover the faults!!!

Any customer thinking of buying this software please please think carefully before doing so. I have been a pharmacist for over 10 years and this is the worst software on the market judging its capabilities, speed and customer support (virtually non-existent). We are only with them because since the introduction of the N3 line we would need to pay over 1K just for the N3 line.

There was a time when we lost close to 2k because of rx web. We transmitted the eps rxs but rx web did not do so until after the cut off so we lost out on meeting our threshold for the NHS payment. They refunded us through not collecting the direct debit for around 8 months.

update 18.4.18 @ 11.22: EPs tracker NOT WORKING!

update: 1/5/18 @ 10.10..... marsheets not working when you attempt to print. The prior week has necessitated constantly switching between the two servers of the software to get any working done due constant problems with speed!
