I visited the showroom with a friend who had recently taken delivery of a new car, he introduced me to Nick Sutton and that was it. Nick asked me what I thought I wanted he took a few notes and we agreed on an appointment date and time, Nick offered an acceptable solution, taking me through the options, numbers and timescale. It all happened on time and without any problems. Great product, fantastic showroom, most importantly good people. Thanks

Old fashioned sales tactics
Previously i had bought 3 brand new cars from Ron Brookes my son two cars so i went back and had a quote from Brent for a new Vitara plus a px price for my old Vitara.
I was very happy with these prices.
I went into the showroom on 14th February to buy the new Vitara allgrip.
Unfortunately Brent was busy with another customer, so he passed me onto to Chris.
Chris looked at the quotes Brent had given and left me waiting over 20 mins whiles he spoke to James the manager, when he reappeared he had knocked my px down by £250 and gave me aload of rubbish why.
When i said no , he went back again supposedly speaking to his manager reappeared after 10 mins with the same quote Brent had given me.
Then he said the old fashioned saying : - BUY IT TODAY AT THIS PRICE!!!
This shocked me because i had come in to buy the Vitatra that Saturday.
I took this saying as a Incompetent THREAT !
so politely i said i think about it , as i was leaving the manger came upto me and said i leave at that price for abit longer for me.
SORRY THE DAMAGE WAS ALREADY DONE.
Old fashioned 1980s sales tactics do not work.

Ron Brookes - A positive buying experience of my Jaecoo 7
My recent experience purchasing a Jaecoo 7 from Ron Brooks Motor Group in Leicester was positive from beginning to end. The process was straightforward and well managed, and the level of service throughout was excellent.
The salesman I dealt with, Zaid, was professional and knowledgeable. He clearly explained the various finance options available and took the time to ensure I understood how each worked. He was equally thorough when walking me through the car itself and its features.
On the day of collection, the handover was handled exceptionally well. Zaid ensured everything was clearly explained and that I was comfortable with the vehicle before leaving. Overall, he was a great ambassador for Ron Brooks Leicester and made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable.
Poor communication, unprepared vehicle
I recently left a deposit on a car at Ron Brooks Suzuki Mansfield and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing.
The car I tested had several faults, including roof leaks, a non-working multi media system, and a faulty heated seat, along with damage to the rear bumper and wheels. I was assured these issues would be resolved before collection.
Despite repeatedly chasing over nearly four weeks, I received no meaningful updates and had to visit the dealership in person to get answers. The salesperson, John, stated he had not been informed I was awaiting contact, which does not reflect good customer communication.
The sales manager(Chris) acknowledged my complaint but made no real effort to resolve or diffuse the situation, there was no attempt to sit down, take ownership, or rebuild confidence in the purchase.With no progress and unresolved issues, I ultimately cancelled the order and requested my deposit back.
Rating: 1/5 – disappointing service and communication.
Wait times too long.
I am writing this review while sitting here at their dealership showroom in Leicester. The wait time is too long as I have time to write this. The bummer is, I haven't had any test drives since the day I booked my car. I know it's stupid. I have been trying to reach them by phone, and they would pick up 5 out of 10 times. I feel like I am not valued as a customer. It's been more than 45 mins and the salesperson has not bothered to talk to me. Serves are terribly slow.

I know my lovely Yaris is old (like me!) (FM06RYU). Recently I have had problems with the engine cutting out and stuttering. However, my car has been with you a few times, fairly recently, with a cost of over £1550 plus taxi fares to and fro. I have only ever taken my car to Ron Brooks, Ilkeston for services and MOTs.
The other day I drove from my home in Bestwood Village to Lowdham and back. It stuttered a few times and cut out once. I really didn’t expect this after I spent all that.

Today my neighbour came home from work and knocked on my door, AGAIN he could smell petrol coming from my car.
If you think my car is ‘knackered’ tell me (I have spent most of my working life in the motor trade) so I decided to use the appropriate word!! However I have seen older Toyotas on the road than mine. I have always tried to take care of my car and it has done 80+ thousand miles in nearly 20 years.
At my age I have no intention of purchasing another car (the Government probably won’t let me carry on driving for much longer anyway!)but it gives me that little bit of independence.
I do not want to drive my car again from my house to Ilkeston or fetch it back, however I do not want a courtesy car either.
Please can you sort this out one way or another.

Poor business etiquette.
I was in the throes of negotiating a deal for a used Toyota CHR and the salesman( name witheld) said he would get back to me with the necessary paperwork via email but after two days, l heard nothing. A message which l sent to this salesman suggested "because l haven't heard from you, do l assume you no longer want my business"? Although my message was read, l have never received a response. Having read other poor reviews about this car dealership, l can only assume that their customer service skills and business etiquette requires drastic improvement. Ron Brooks have let down yet, another customer.

Rude staff, port planning of time
I would leave less than one star if possible. I was booked a test drive at 11:30am on Sunday 1st Feb. I have two young children that I needed to sort out, and a multitude of other jobs I required to do.
Chloe had the gone out with a customer at 11:30, when I turned up at 11:28am, on time she was no where to be found.
I spoke to a manager who said there was nothing he could do.
He advised when back in with the customer, for me to interrupt and speak to her and ask how long she will be.
I followed his advice and she looked terrified and said she would sort it, in actual fact she went outside, made a personal call and hoped that we would leave.
When she returned we asked if she had sorted it when the rude and disrespectful customer started to give my wife abuse.
The overall experience is less than poor.
My advice do not go for a test drive or guy from this branch, you’ll be waiting forever to get served and then you’ll be met with disgusting attitude

We recently purchased a brand new Vitara from John Cooney at Ron Brooks Suzuki and honestly couldn’t be happier with the experience.
We originally only went in to view a few cars,
And compare to others but John’s approach, service, and the deals he put together completely won us over — we’re now the proud owners of a brand new Vitara thanks to him. Absolutely no sale BS!!! This is rare in any sales environment we have found !
John really listened to us as customers and took the time to understand exactly what we needed. He met our requirements without any pressure, was down to earth, straight-talking, and there was absolutely no nonsense — just honest, clear advice throughout.
He kept every promise he made and delivered on everything he said he would. The whole process felt smooth, fair, and genuinely customer-focused.
John is a real credit to Ron Brooks and Suzuki. Thanks so much, John — we truly appreciate everything you did for us.

Great MOT experience thanks to Collette at Ron Brooks
I’ve just had my first experience of the service/MOT facility at Ron Brooks In Ilkeston and I’m pleased to say that, thanks to Collette, who was very accommodating when I had to change my MOT date and time due to a clash with a funeral and then a hospital appointment, this was an excellent experience. As far as I’m concerned, she went above and beyond to help me get through these situations. Thanks to the welcome team and also to the MOT team for their prompt service. Thank you. Steve
Poor customer service, again.
I called yesterday to speak to service, but there was no reply. I tried again later with the same result so in desperation rang sales which was answered within 20 seconds. Service were not available so they took my details and said service would call me. No one called so I rang again and left another message and 24 hours later I’m still waiting. My car is due for change in September, but I’m sorry Ron Brooks, I’ll be going elsewhere. This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues.

I have always valued Ron Brooks highly, but unfortunately last week and today was a massive let down albeit not entirely their fault.
My car was booked in last week for a repair to chromework on my rear wheels which is a specialist job and carried out by an outside contractor. This contractor failed to arrive last week having phoned in sick at 10.ooa.m. that morning ? I was almost at Ron Brooks having travelled 20 miles, I gave the contractor the benefit of the doubt on this occasion and rebooked for today. After travelling 20miles again I checked in to Ron Brooks Toyota Mansfield and was tole the contractor had phoned in and said he shouldn't be long as he was stuck in traffic. Two and a half hours later I was still waiting for this so called specialist outfit to arrive, were was he travelling from'Cornwall?Eventually I cancelled the job and left. I understand this was not entirely Ron Brooks fault, however they used what I consider on this occasion, an unreliable contractor, who not only let their customer down but also the Ron Brooks name.
