Bad Experience
I purchased a van from this seller (Robert) on February 14th.
Although Robert didn't agree to me paying using mobile.de's Safe Pay option, I decided to go ahead anyway due to the excellent reviews Robert has on the site, and he gave me his word that the only problem the van had was the fact that it only had one key.
At first everything went well, Robert was very friendly and even picked me up at the station near his workshop. After starting to drive back with the van, problems started to happen. To my surprise, no basic maintenance has been done on the van, such as oils or filters and I get a first warning on the dashboard. It was a mistake on my part to assume this would be done, but I later found out the van was running with oil below the limit.
More serious were the next warnings of "Check Injection" and "Check Anti-Pollution System", and feeling the van lose power and sometimes with hiccups. In short, the turbo had to be repaired because it was leaking oil into the intercooler and the pipe had to be replaced. With maintenance, around 1100 euros of loss.
One of two things, either the errors were omitted by disconnecting the battery before I picked up the van, or it was not properly checked. Anyway, Robert's responsibility when he assumes the van had no such problems.
Initially Robert was receptive to resolving this situation by fully or partially assuming these costs, but after a few days, while waiting for the repairs to be completed, Robert stopped responding completely.
It seems that Robert blocks the buyers on mobile.de before they have a change to leave the bad reviews. That explains all the good reviews.
A disappointment.
