We cannot thank Rygate Hill Golf Club enough for stepping in and taking on our wedding at such short notice. After being let down by our original venue, we were understandably anxious—but from the moment we connected with Lauren and the team, every worry lifted. They were efficient, helpful, kind, and empathetic, and they turned what could have been a very difficult situation into something truly wonderful.

A very special mention has to go to Lauren, our wedding organiser, who pulled everything together in such a short time with no stone left unturned. Her dedication, professionalism, and warmth ensured that everything ran smoothly and beautifully on the day.

The venue itself is absolutely stunning, with everything one could possibly need and more. Our guests raved about the beauty of the setting and the quality of the service. The staff went above and beyond, catering to our every need with genuine care. The bar staff worked tirelessly, creating cocktails that our guests couldn’t stop praising. Their hard work and cheerful attitudes made such a difference.

In the end, our wedding turned out not only to be saved, but even better than we had ever imagined. Everything was perfect. It was more than we had hoped for, and that is entirely thanks to Lauren and the incredible team at Rygate Hill Golf Club. We wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone planning a wedding or special event—you will be in the very best of hands.

PLEASE do not get married here! We attended a family wedding at the weekend costing 10k and I must say the service was unorganised and unprofessional. This venue has no air conditioning which is very surprising considering they offer weddings and most are in the height of the summer season, this was not a comfortable occasion and many people felt very unwell due to the heat.

They had almost 5/6 members of staff behind the bar 3 of which were not at legal age to serve alcohol and some of them were refusing water to children attending the wedding which is disgusting. The weather which they cannot help was 31c and to refuse tap water to a child in that heat is disgusting. They ran out of ice half way through the day and the £10 cocktails came out of a tin can.

The food was awful, no flavour and very bland all came out at different times meaning half of the table was eating while the rest of us just sat in an un-air conditioned room!!!!!!! waiting to be fed.

The manager was heard by many people attending the wedding telling her staff "don't worry about this lot the regular members are more important" which is outrageous. The female toilet became out of order towards the evening and instead of letting people use the members toilets we all had to line up for the 1 disabled toilet available. There was not music after the ceremony or during the meal and the atmosphere was not that of a happy occasion as it should be. We did ask for some background music as this was a wedding not a funeral and they did put some on but only played 3 songs then it stopped.

The DJ was great in the evening but due to the heat many people stayed outside as it was so hot inside. Some of the staff were very good and especially a lady called Jane who was lovely along with a man wearing glasses who was also very attentive but the rest held a lot to be desired.

If you are going to run a business catering for weddings costing in the tens of thousands then Reigate Hill Golf Club you need to up your game. Our wedding cost half that price and we had every little whim taken care of and we were treated like a King and Queen for the day!!!!! 1 Star service such a shame, if only the service and interior matched the beautiful grounds
