Pukka Microwavable Steak Pie are a disgrace. All pastry and not much filling and what filling there was, was very low quality.

Lots of fat, very little steak. A shame as their pies used to be the best in the chippies.

Full of gristle.

Have often purchased minced beef and onion pies. Both the ones I had from Sainsbury’s yesterday were full of minced gristle!! Inedible and very disappointing.

I tried the Pukka Chicken Shortcrust Pies recently while it was on offer from Tesco and it was really great! The chicken was flavourful and there was a good amount of veggies inside.

Pleasantly surprised 3 times over by Pukka pies - I never expect much from ready meals - had Pukka steak pies as “quick fix” several times over last few months- Delicious - next time I will definitely make a proper meal of it veg etc - thanks really good product

I quit eating me seven years ago and loved to cook pies since they have started doing vegan ones. I have really enjoyed them although they could be a bit better.

I buy these regularly and thought I would try the 4 pack frozen beef and vegetable pies for a change, never again, it was nothing like the picture and if I wanted a vegetarian pie I would have chosen one, no filling to speak of, meat was almost invisible and very disappointing, I thought these would be like the steak or chicken pies but alas not. Will not be buying again. I did take photos but there is nowhere to add them on here, wonder why

A great pie. There is so much pastry and the filling, although a little bit less meat than expected is full of flavour the creamy sauce is amazing. All in all a quick, easy and yummy meal.

I purchased the pies from Iceland. The box was undamaged as were the pies. These are my partner's go-to as they are easy to microwave for a tasty quick snack

Really good value and tasty pie. Had the steak pie which had some good pieces of meat and a nicely flavoured gravy. Pastry was crispy and light. Great for an easy midweek dinner

I purchased a Chicken and Mushroom pie. The pastry was okay but the filling, or lack of, was shocking. It contained a sauce with the consistency of wallpaper paste, a minuscule piece of mushroom and one tiny piece of chicken measuring approximately 1cm x 1 1/2 cm’s. What went wrong? Surely this can’t be classed as a chicken and mushroom pie when it contains so little of either.

I have emailed Pukka Pies and received the following reply…

I hope in time I will receive some feedback as I have noted that there seem to be a number of reviews both here and within shopping apps that say the same thing.

The chicken and mushroom pie was a bit disappointing. Hardly any chicken, or mushroom, and the gravy was gluey.

The steak pie was a little short on steak, but it did taste nice. Nice easy meal for one.

Garbage rubbish and a total waste of money.. might sell well in farm foods if price was 50p

I just had minced beef & onion pie and it was delicious. Good quality pastry and rich filling. I like Pukka pies and other products, not all of course, but the majority of products are really good.

We used to enjoy a pukka pie. We always aimed to get the Steak and Kidney with Shortcrust Pastry.
The pies that I purchased only had flaky pastry available.
Today, I attempted to eat the pie. Four pieces of 'steak'. No kidney. The 'steak' was inedible. I am not sure where this 'steak' came from, but I can only presume the waste bin.
The pastry was nondescript.
However, on a positive note, the gravy was very tasty, hence the reason for two stars.

Had a chicken and bacon pukka pie and was delicious. Just the right size for one, crispy pastry, generous amount of meat and filling. Warming on a wet evening, will define buy again.

Perfect chicken pie for one! The chicken & mushroom pie is really tasty and a great portion size for one person. Living alone I find it hard to buy things like pre-made pies for just one person / portion size so will definitely be buying this again. Great chicken flavour and mushroom wasn't overbearing.

I really like the Pukka Pies I've tried, there's a good range and I've enjoyed them all. The pastry is crispy (I tend to cook them a tiny bit longer than suggested) and the fillings are nice. Great comfort food on a cold day!

It’s a very delicious steak pie. Love the gravy and the steak is juicy. Value for money.
