Where’s the meat? I bought a steak and kidney pie and was really disappointed. The pastry is good but the filling is something else! Nothing but a gloopy mess of ‘gravy’ and I couldn’t find a piece of meat. I won’t buy again

What l purchased in effect was a " GLOOPY DOME PIE" with sauce. Flecks of chicken,with no mushrooms in site. (SHAMEFUL!!). We pay for puffed air now.

It was exactly what I needed: easy, tasty, and filling. The filling is rich and meaty, and it really hit the spot.

Lovely pies with some really interesting fillings. I found a piece of blue thread embedded in one pie crust and they said they'd look at it and report back.

Here we are, some weeks later, and they've decided to tell me nothing.

Why are all your replies invariably "I can look into this"? You offered to look into this several weeks ago and then went dark.

I've not had a single Pukka pie that I've disliked. They all seem to have just enough filling to not need gravy, and all cook to perfection with the signature golden crust, no matter the size. The price and performance is always spot on.

I really enjoy Pukka Pies, the pastry tastes fresh and the meat is always tender. These pies are the perfect addition to a dinner with vegetables and mash potatoes.

Customer service are concerned about my complaint. I complained online about a unusual drop in quality in a steak & kidney pie, and they are going to great lengths to investigate. well done.

Always enjoy pukka pies

I recently tried the Pukka All Steak Pie and was thoroughly impressed. The tender pieces of steak in rich gravy were flavorful and comforting. The puff pastry cooked to a perfect golden crispness. Following the recommended cooking time ensured the pastry was nicely crispy without being overdone. A hearty and tasty meal that’s easy to prepare highly recommended!

The Smoky Cheddar Flavour & Onion Pie garnered praise for its flaky pastry and flavorful filling, with one reviewer stating, "Been searching for this pie for a while now and it did not disappoint. The flakey pastry was amazing... the cheesy flavour was lovely too

Had a few of the pukka pies and particularly like the mince and onion and all steak pies. They’ve got good amounts of filling and gravy with nice flaky crusts

No Meat just Gravy. Lumps of pure fat and lumps of inedible sinew and gristle. YUK. There is no quality any more!
I bought a 2 pack of frozen Steak & Kidney Pies with my weekly TESCO Home Delivery early May 2025. Frozen 22nd March 2025 (use by 31st May 2026). Sadly, these two pies were very, very, poor quality and that is the second time now! A pie filled with gristle and chunks of fatty “yuk”. I am reluctant to purchase Pukka Pies in the future.
I think out of two pies, I got 2 x medium bits of steak meat, 2 x edible but very small tidbit chunks of kidney, 2 x large lumps of pure steak FAT and 4 or 5 lumps of honestly inedible steak gristle. Oh and a pile of gravy. That is dreadful quality.
Sorry PUKKA PIES but this is NOT acceptable at all. Shocked at how poor your products have become. Its cheerio from me and the wife that's for sure.

Absolutely love pukka pies, effortless and tasty. The new chicken balti one is my favourite ever!!

Delicious Pukka pies, have just bought a bunch from the grocery store as my son is obsessed with having one every couple of days. He loves the ones with beef, I prefer the chicken ones.

i found a 5mm by 5mm metal stud in the pie by nearly breaking my tooth on it extremely updet as all previous experience was excellent. would have complained privately but cannot find a place to do this without having the batch information. this looked like it was part of the machinery. i have pictures

Have always loved Pukka Pies since I was young especially the traditional flavours like Steak and Kidney, chicken and meat and potato. Have tried a couple of newer flavours recently and these are also really nice pies. Definitely recommend to add to your weekly shop!

I still wish Pukka would get back to the more original flavours – the chicken and stuffing, chicken and chorizo – but the last time I had their family beef (allegedly a 'new' offering) it was fine. The pastry was great, and there were no complaints with the quality or quantity of filling. They certainly aren't just the dodgy chip shop purchase any more – this brand is great for the family.

I've been a fan of pukka pies for months, and they never disappoint! Their chicken & mushroom pie is my personal favorite, it's creamy, flavorful filling encased in perfectly flaky pastry.

Their vegan range, particularly the vegan chicken & mushroom pie, is also impressive. The taste and texture are so close to the traditional version that even my non-vegan friends enjoy it.

Highly recommend to anyone seeking delicious pies and ultimate comfort food, especially on chilly evenings.
