Extremely unpleasant experience with…

Extremely unpleasant experience with Premier Holiday Rentals (Cyprus):
I made a reservation for a villa in Cyprus, represented by Premier Holiday Rentals through Booking.com. The payment was processed directly by this agency. Later, I cancelled the booking within the free cancellation period.

Although, according to Booking’s terms, the refund should have been processed within 7–12 days, I hadn’t received any money after 15 days. I contacted Premier Holiday Rentals and was told to wait 28 days. When I insisted, they even replied that if I kept asking questions, I might receive my money only after 60 days.

This behavior is completely unprofessional and shows a lack of respect towards customers. In the end, Booking intervened and refunded the amount from their own account, and they will recover it from the agency.

I strongly advise other travelers to avoid booking with Premier Holiday Rentals. Communication was rude and unhelpful, contractual terms were not respected, and the overall attitude was unacceptable. Do not pay in advance — you risk losing your money and wasting time!

I have noticed that you have numerous negative reviews on other booking platforms — over 16 from different travelers — many of them mentioning serious issues such as lack of refunds, fake vouchers, and an unprofessional attitude towards customers.

From my own experience, I can confirm that the way you handle customer relations is very disappointing. Even after the 28 days you specified for the refund, nothing was resolved. In the end, Booking had to step in and process the payment themselves, as you failed to do so.

I wasted my time and energy trying to resolve a situation that should never have happened if you had acted transparently and professionally.

I believe I have every right to leave a negative review. I strongly recommend that you review your practices and attitude towards tourists; otherwise, you risk losing all credibility and facing bankruptcy.”

We had an excellent week in Guernsey

Avoid pre booked trips! ( except the coach half day - excellent!)

We had an excellent week in Guernsey, St Peter Port. Pleasant flight, taxi outside airport to hotel was fast and inexpensive and good weather all week.
Cannot fault Moores Hotel. Staff and service first rate. Wonderful, in fact.
Our quibbles, which we reported back to Premier: local agent was at best unhelpful. We have since received an apology. Also, two of the advertised add on trips to ‘enhance’ our holiday were vastly over priced, especially the Sark day trip, ‘with lunch’. We should have sorted it out ourselves.
The actual ferry costs £31 pp and the lunch provided could have been purchased for less than £25, according to the menu. Not including drinks There is nowhere that special to eat there although it’s a great little island. The brochure price was £115 pp. and we assumed, wrongly, that it would be a bit better than what was delivered at that price. How wrong can you be! Same applied to the Herm trip where ‘lunch’ meant one course not including drinks.
Other than that, a really good week.

Terrible Scamming Company

This is the worst company I have ever come across and this can only be described as a modern day scam.

Booked a trip to Jersey through Channel Islands direct in December last year, due to depart at 10:45am on Friday 18th, had a call at 10:30pm the night before to say the flight had been cancelled. Looking at the reviews online of the airline (1.7/5 stars, this is obviously a very coming occurrence). We were offered a flight from an airport over 100 miles away, with no compensation for the travel this would take. Because they have offered you an “alternative” they do not let you cancel your holiday for a refund. Their alternatives are not suitable and no offence, I could swim to Jersey quicker than heading to their alternative airport.

This company advertise “peace of mind” and “financial protection” on their website through ABTA and ATOL. However, they refuse to refund any of the service they have failed to provide. It also states upon purchase that they will email you an ATOL certificate upon purchase, which I still have not received despite requesting. I will of course be contacting ABTA, ATOL and citizens advice for further input on this company.

When calling their customer services they informed me they can’t refund as they can’t get the money back from the flight company or hotel. I booked this hotel as a package, therefore this is not my problem and should be protected, as stated on their website. Also, as a company, Channel Islands direct will obviously have business liability insurance to claim back in these situations, meaning they are literally taking your money and not providing a service.

I have never experienced such stress and emotion from a negative experience from a company and their lack of care.

I will continue to phone their customer services looking for my refund and will be forced into travel insurance claim/credit card dispute if not.

Will ensure as many people as possible avoid this company at all costs, you are better off flushing £700 down the toilet.

Hoping that Channel Islands direct/premier holidays have a bit of customer care within themselves to grace some compensation for ruining my mothers 60th birthday present and make up for the stress and anxiety caused to us both.

Read reviews before booking/buying anything

If only we had read the reviews before booking! Went to our usual Travel Agent to book Xmas week (7 nights) in Guernsey. It was suggested we use Premier Holidays. Chose our Hotel and was given a package of just over £2000. It seemed a bit expensive but being Xmas we booked it and gave a deposit of £770.00. We got home and checked the price of the Hotel and the air fares which didn't add up. Went back to the Travel Agent to clarify. Premier had included the price of the taxi at £115.00 and Xmas day lunch at £75.00 each which we were told was included in the price. If we cancelled we would lose our deposit so reluctantly paid it. Sitting down when we got back and worked it out we have paid about £450.00 extra. Our Travel Agent kept saying it was a 'package' holiday. Premier Holidays shouldn't be trading anymore - we are an elderly couple and treated so badly. Don't any of the Travel Agents know what they are like? Will never ever use Premier Holidays again (and probably our Travel Agents) as well.

Channel islands direct have a completely useless website!!!!It hardly ever let's you search!It is not geared for solo travellers at all - much DISCRIMINATION........in an age where online searching is a must & key to finding exactly what we want (even if we finally end up phoning,we still like to be allowed to 1st search online for options at our leisure), this company is antiquated, backwards thinking & very discriminatory

Booked 5 nights to Guernsey for 2…

Booked 5 nights to Guernsey for 2 people and paid £2150. When I checked the brochure later the price should have been £1754, a difference of £396!!!!
I had booked the holiday through Hays Travel and because of this, when I tried to ring Premier Holidays, they refused to speak to me!!! As the holiday is in 10 days time I had to pay the full amount and can not cancel as I will lose all my money!!!!
Hays Travel have rung Premier Holidays and they won’t even give them a breakdown of the price.
If I had booked the hotel and flight myself online, the hotel room is £1200 and the flight £525 for 2 people!!!! How can they justify £900 for 2 return flights to Guernsey!!!!
They have told Hays travel they use ‘live’ prices. Perhaps they think we are flying there and back twice!!!!!
I thought Hays Travel may have reimbursed me some of the money as a goodwill gesture, as I have booked many holidays with them, but even they are not interested.
Note to self and others, check the brochure price before paying or even better still, steer clear of this company.
Like a previous reviewer, I would give zero stars if possible.

Booked 4 day holiday for my wife & I to…

Booked 4 day holiday for my wife & I to Guernsey in late May. I identified I needed assistance to & from plane. Yes on booking book but when I turned up at Birmingham airport I had to sort out myself plus at Guernsey airport, similar situation plus they took my walking aI’d away and put it in the hold. I got some assistance at Birmingham on return flight but man disappeared. Birmingham airport were helpful when we going on 24 May. Waste of time me identifying a need. I am fed up with people saying well you will just have to walk there then!

Parents were given a hotel booking…

Parents were given a hotel booking reference even though it was never booked as confirmed by the hotel,, Premier could not provide a breakdown of alternative accommodation etc / costs. You couldn't make it up, my parents were not given the option of a refund even though holiday booked in good faith,, they couldn't care less,, would never use again I also tried to resolve the issue but was in my opinion fobbed off, once they received the money they didn't care, only gave 1 star as you can't give zero stars.

Booked a 5 day holiday to Guernsey…

Booked a 5 day holiday to Guernsey where the allocated return 7am flight back, who wants a 7am flight ( who wants to get up at 4am for a 30 minute flight) so called to arrange a later flight, as expected they charged for the privilege of changing the flight, but he ho that's life.. However I just got my phone bill £26+ for a 20 minute call to get the booking changed, at no point did they advise and of course can't call to complain as that will probably cost me a load more, so I would avoid like the plague because if anything goes wrong it will cost a fortune to complain...will update once we have been on holiday as to the quality of that....

I would have liked to rate them zero customer service is a bunch of low lives definitely money orientated and no concern for peoples well being they ordered the holidays jet2 cancelled the flight and wouldn’t speak to me told me to get in contact with holiday provider premier sent me a email to send to my insurance company and a text message saying my flight will be leaving the next day checked with jet2 they told me that you will have to check your emails to confirm that it’s going I can’t because premier won’t give me any details all premier kept saying we sent you a text message and a letter for your insurance company in other words that’s all your going to get from us,
Honestly there are much better travel companies out there than PREMIER HOLIDAYS be careful you have been warned I wish I had checked reviews before I booked as I would never have booked with them absolutely terrible

Absolutely awful service

Absolutely awful service. They claim they didn't have our contact details so couldn't inform us of changes made to our bookings. This meant we had no idea that ferries had been cancelled/rearranged so we were just put down as no shows. Because of this we also missed connections for further destinations. We have lost money on a very expensive holiday with apparently no way to claim any money back as we have no travel insurance (as all our travel was within the British Isles we weren't expecting to need it). Wouldnt except our review without giving them at least one star though they don't deserve even that.

I would never recommend this holiday…

I would never recommend this holiday company. Its doesn't even deserve one star. I had a holiday booked to Jersey with my husband, daughter and my grand father this year. Sadly my grand father died and they would not allow me to change his name to my mum. After a few discussions they said its a subject to change matter and said my mum could pay £384 for the flight! They were so uncompassionate. I will never travel with them again! Very disappointed

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE..... Just booked a holiday to USA and was disappointed with the itinerary after studying it so we called to transfer onto another destination and was told we had no chance. This company is a complete con and no respect for customers. Everyone who reads this take note , all they want is your cash then don't give a toss about you or after service. This is the worst place iv ever used , even Hays travel are going to stop using them. Would have given half star if I could. Complete cowboys

Worse travel agent I’ve ever used

Worse travel agent I’ve ever used. Do not take ownership for their shortfalls and errors, leaving the customer out of pocket. Customer service of zero! Do not comply with any of the holiday package regulations. Avoid at all costs!

Sorry, they don't care about customers at all. Incorrect information in the brochure concerns just brushed off with 'small print' excuses. No empathy for people who have paid them money. We are in difficult times I know, but treating customers with contempt will be remembered.
