Customer Service Very Unhelpful
I made a mistake in account setup and Popular Direct customer service was extremely unhelpful. After initial account setup I was unable to log into my account due to me incorrectly inputting my phone number. Fully my fault for causing this issue. I was also was at a point in time where I did not have a recent utility bill in my name and did not have access to one. Each customer service representative told me that the only way to change my phone number was to provide a recent utility bill in my name, no exceptions. Each representative also said the only other alternative option for verifying my identity was unavailable due to an issue with their system. They said I would need to setup a utility bill in my name and then send them the document once I had paid my next bill to access my new account. Instead I went with another bank.
