Ordered 2 fig trees from Pomona, arrived well packed, and were stored undrr cover in the bad weather. DOREE started sprouting early, looked good, but then noticed leaves were being eaten. I noticed several vine weevils on the plant at night, sprayed, but then found more on the floor around the plant. Checked the rootball, larvae found.
Treated with nematodes after replacing the soil, now growing well.
The second tree, Madeleine de deux Saison, also put out two shoots, which then shrivelled, but the stem also shrivelled from the top down.

Emailed Pomona, was asked to wait until June.
I cut back the diseased tissue, eventually one more shoot sprouted, but this also died.
Now promised a bare root tree in nov/dec ..Understand they have problems, as all nurseries and seed suppliers have with covid, but disappointed that I have lost a season.

Pomona have replaced the dead tree with an excellent new one. The original intent to supply a bare-root replacement was an error by one of their staff, as they do not supply bare-root fig trees.

I have been ordering fruit trees/plants from Pomona for a few years and have always been 100% happy with everything. Last Autumn I ordered three more cordon fruit trees which arrived promptly, but unfortunately two of them have not survived, to my relief with no problems at all, Pamona have arranged replacements to arrive this Autumn as they start despatching the bare root trees. They are absolutely the best online company for trees/plants that I have ever used from variety of choices, health, price and great service. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

Bought 12 asparagus crowns during lockdown so late anyway. Excellent telephone service and information about delivery.. Planted out May 15th and the first was up May 30th. Now of course I could say it was my excellent preparation of bed, prolonged soaking in comfrey juice and exquisite planting ridges, but I guess Pomona Fruits and the quality of their plants might just have something to do with it. Will be back to order ....

I ordered cell grown raspberry plants. Arrived well packed and well grown! I was expecting little plants that were just a few inches high and in little plastic cells, but no...they are in excess of 12 or 15" with a bigger rootball than I was expecting too, so was very pleased ! Looking forward to future raspberry crops. My honey berry plants which arrived separately are in fabulous healthy condition too. Thankyou Pomona Fruits.

As a recent order arrived damaged Pomona Fruits quickly sent out a replacement plant.

Emails were answered promptly and politely.

I ordered 12 asparagus crowns in late April thinking it might be getting a bit late in the Season to plant them, but the crowns arrived looking very healthy and with plenty of roots for 2 year stock. The first stalk appeared after only 2 weeks and now all 12 have sprouted which is an amazing success rate, so I am more than happy. The crowns are new variety called Burgundine which have a striking deep purple colour. The plants came with detailed planting and care instructions.

I am disappointed that I cannot give a 5 star rating for this company. My husband ordered two patio raspberry plants (Ruby Beauty) and two honey berry plants as a birthday present for me. They arrived a few days ago, one of the raspberry plants is okay ( though very small) and the other one is not, far from it - it looks in a very sorry state already. Likewise, only one of the honey berry plants is okay and you need two to grow together to pollinate. It is such a shame, partly because they were a birthday present and partly because they were expensive and it seems a total waste of money.

Really pleased with our fruit tress 8 in total to start our little orchard... really professional easy to use top quality product... definitely recommend and will use again.

My 2 blueberries maybe took a week to arrive so super quick as far as I'm concerned (Duke and birgitta) one about to produce berries and the other in flower so to say how pleased with the quality and the careful packaging does not express how delighted I am with them. Proper growing instructions too. I'll certainly be ordering from you again
