Placed an urgent order for next day delivery, or so I thought. Today, on day of expected delivery, the items have still not arrived yet as it appears my delivery is actually "2-5 business days" and won't be here until tomorrow. Upon following through the order process again it appears that although I had "picked" a next day delivery, this does not automatically update and as a consequence my order had defaulted back to a standard carriage, which was a bit annoying. Not sure if this was due to the fact I was using a phone and paying by ApplePay. Apart from this would've been 5 stars.

Needed advice on some shower parts to ensure I ordered the correct sized parts. Andrew was very helpful with his very prompt answers. Me and water just don't get on, give me electricity any day of the week.

I needed to get a smaller ball float for the toilet as the large one caught on the side of the tank. My local shop tried to upsell me a more expensive system so I looked at Plumbers Mate. Buy with confidence. I had a number of questions which I asked over a few emails. Despite Plumbers Mate knowing the value of the order ( Less than £40 ) the advice and help I received has proved to be accurate and honest. The products supplied were of high quality and good value. Delivery to Plymouth was less than 48 hours. Would I use Plumbers Mate again, definitely.

For a relatively small business Pumbers Mate’s catalogue is both extensive and historic. I needed some parts for a fairly obscure cistern that was fitted into my bathroom circa 1980s. It was no problem.

I needed a particular on/off shower valve for a concealed unit that the merchant from whom I bought could not supply; nor could the rep from Scudo. They sent various replacements but none of them fitted. I phone Plumbers Mate, spoke to a wonderful woman who went to the shelves and found the valve that I wanted. She urged me to buy it online there and then while she prepared it for posting out. I received it two days later, it is a perfect like-for-like replacement and was about a third cheaper than another supplier who couldn't supply until the end of March (it is currently mid-January). One can only comment on one's own experience; my experience with them is absolutely first class!

I asked Plumbers Mate to recommend a plumber to replace bathroom taps and they recommended a very competent self employed plumber. We needed spare parts for the existing taps but the manufacturer no longer stocked these particular parts. Plumbers Mate were very helpful and liaised with the plumber to find a good solution. Thicker than usual bath and long overflow meant off the shelf kits were no good. You took the time to measure the McAlpine components and sent me the fittings which fitted perfectly and made it a straightforward job.

Have struggled for over a year with sewage smells from the downstairs wet room. After many conversations with other professionals realised I was missing the insert to the shower tray drain. However, did not know the make etc of the lateral shower drain. Plumbers-mate was at the top of my google search so I phoned them for advice. Telephone service excellent and, after speaking to their helpful service person, emailed photos with detailed measurements of drain. They replied VERY quickly, within minutes, and the drain insert was identified. I ordered that same day and took delivery 2 days later. Insert fitted correctly - cannot fault the knowledge of the service person Keith who I was corresponding with. I am so grateful to now be free of awful sewage smells. Excellent service from Plumbers-mate and big thanks to Keith for sorting my problem out so efficiently!

Excellent service, ordered a small bathroom part Friday afternoon paid standard delivery and it arrived Saturday morning. Part was also at the best price I could see online, I was kept informed every step of the process, cannot fault their service.

It’s ok but very very expensive compared to other plumbing outlets, people may think they are good staff members but not all staff have the know all . I agree that some of the staff do have the attitude that they know it all but they certainly don’t .
