We can’t praise Pickering solicitors enough. We are going through a few transactions with them one being selling a house which Alexa helped us with. Alexa was professional all the way through this always there when we needed help and advice, friendly and very approachable.

Pickerings have been our family and business solicitors for over 30 years with excellent service (we’ve spent a lot of money with them as well). However we have recently been ‘dumped’! At a moments notice, by telephone, with no reason and at a critical point in a litigation process! Devastated!! We owe them no money and until the day before there wasn’t a problem. So why? Why? I feel so let down - discarded without a second thought. I’m sorry but I would not recommend them to anyone now at all - loyalty counts for nothing to them. I feel they have grown too big now and have lost their personal touch.

They are social services go to and will work directly with social services to try to get the outcome social services want, whether right or wrong. my poor partner was in tears as the pickerings solicitor tried to get her to sign things she did not say and things that did not happen, where did this information come from? why was the solicitor not listening to what my partner was saying and listening to social services lies? if you have a child custody case in tamworth DO NOT use this solicitor firm.

Found their service to be fairly mediocre. They acted for me in a land transfer transaction. They were not quick in their communication and began to insist on more payment when they thought the other party was taking too long to provide information. What really annoyed me was that the proceeds from the transaction could only be paid to me via a cheque in the post, meaning (conveniently) that they held onto the cash for an extra week. They offered a CHAPS payment for £30 but seemed never to have heard of a BACS payment. Felt like I was talking to someone from 1985. From what little I know though, this is not atypical of solicitors in general, I have heard tales of some still using FAXes etc.

I have known of Pickerings Solicitors for a number of years and when I required specific legal advice, I had no hesitation in contacting them. Pickerings Solicitors listened to the situation, gathered all the information and then advised us of the best steps to take. I would thoroughly recommend the firm and would have no hesitation in instructing them in the future where required. I was offered a professional, approachable and thorough service. Thank you.

I employed this company to take care of a litigation matter for me via my home insurance. In a nutshell they failed to listen to me throughout my dealings with them and eventually produced a shockingly incompetent settlement agreement that left me with a large exposure to escalating costs and in a far worse position than when I initiated the contact with them.

After raising a formal complaint they failed to address any of the key points and didn't investigate the matter at all. They did not see fit to ask any questions other than those detailed within the original complaint and they ended up totally misrepresenting the situation within their response. There is a shocking level of both incompetence and dishonesty within a litigation section of this company in my opinion. I have details evidence of their incompetence and failings yet they were not interested in requesting this information but merely brushing the matter under the carpet.

Be warned this company is only after your money and is in no way interested in providing a professional service.
