We’re always happy to respond to all reviews.
Our helpdesk say that you wanted to value an ‘11’ [xx11xxx] plate car and our system returned a 2017 plate car. We have the ability to check live DVLA data and this showed a Ford car manufactured in 2011 but not registered until 2017.
Normally this [could] be an import where a car is manufactured but then not imported into the UK until a later date and then registered with the DVLA – however, this was not flagged as being the case.
After emailing you, you then said the car was a 2004 Toyota.
Our own online MoT check [which can be performed by anyone] on https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-history also revealed [based on the registration mark] that the DVLA has this car as a Ford manufactured in 2011 but not registered until 2017. This means the most current DVLA data and that on parkers.co.uk match.
Additionally, if it’s a 2004 Toyota, then having a xx11xxx plate is highly irregular [if not illegal].
The DVLA do not allow registration numbers to be assigned to a vehicle if that suggests the vehicle is newer than it actually is. It doesn't matter if that's a personalised registration or a standard one.
Something is not right here and the car could potentially be a ‘ringer’. Our suggestion is to perform a ‘Car History Check’ as a further step.
