The courier lost a box. We had a certain amount of time to recoup the hundreds of euro. Parcel Direct had to do it via Fedex. They failed to do it. I now get radio silence on the matter. If you want support or recourse on lost packages DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I've booked more than 30 collections and deliveries with them and I can confirm they have cheap prices, but hope that your parcel doesn't get lost or damaged, in that case their support is USELESS.
They confirmed I'm eligible for a compensation and then stopped replying to my emails after I provided my bank details to get the payment.
They rarely reply via phone, and when they do, they always found ridiculous excuses to postpone the compensation.
My parcel was lost in September, the compensation was confirmed in January and all they're saying since then is "You'll be contacted back"...they never did, they just like to set false expectations.
I will keep contacting them until I get the compensation I'm waiting, considering to go legal if necessary, but I won't give up on this.

Terrible service, I left my package at the drop of point in Dublin on 14th December and like magic my package has disapeared. Only occasional responses to e-mail that give no help at all. All the time I spent shopping for those Christmas presents and package is now gone. No offer of a refund provided. What a terrible service.

Waited around all day and no one showed up to collect. Was never given a call or an approximate time for collection either, just 9:30 to 17:30. They expect you to wait around all day and still not show up. They have no respect for your time. Don’t do business with them

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. We are now incurring an additional +€1k in shipping costs.
We are complaining to the ODCE about this company, lack of due communication and care.
We trusted them with our 6 box shipment as we were moving to the US, we are here and all of our packages are now returned to Ireland. We received no updates or flags to our packages at customs, when we followed up ourselves following a delay flagged we were then asked to provide import forms, which we did but we were informed by FedEx they were not reached on time and the contact details that parcelsdirect provided FedEx for us were insufficient.
Despite trying to call, email and send instant messages to the company no support.
We are now left to foot another €1k in costs for shipping with our boxes at this date in a FedEx facility in Santry in Dublin, we originally shipped mid November!!!
Will never use again and encourage anyone that is moving to use another business or just use FedEx directly.

Parcel direct tried to take 756 euro out of my account, unauthorized by me. They said they meant to take 75.60 euro (that they mistakenly) thought I owed) and got the decimal place wrong.
They emailed me after a delivery to the U.S saying that I owed them 75.60 euro. This was because somebody working for them changed the dimension of the length of the box from 38cm to 58cm and so they reckoned I owed them. I made the box myself so I knew the dimensions. I ignored the email (I obviously shouldn't have) and didn't even notice that they had changed the dimensions until 2 weeks later I noticed that they tried to take 756 euro out of my account. I then looked at their email and discovered that they had changed the dimensions of the box and we're now looking for more money. I explained their mistake to them in an email a few days ago. I haven't heard back from them.
Very very dodgy company.

Is my experience the norm? Booked a 1-2 day, very expensive, Irl to Uk service with UPS. Package lost immediately after pickup & PD say they have to wait at least 24 hours before UPS will revert with an update. PD couldnt care less..take no ethical responsibility for your items & will not find out where they are. Legal Docs, Totle Deeds for a property..missing..irreplaceable. Is it a 1 man operation from a shed?
REPLY: 000stars. Does their response mean they are still in business?! Do they know this episode with them was 3 YEARS AGO !!!

Absolutely horrible and woeful service. They provided me a drop off point that hasn't accepted drop offs in 2 years. There's enough stress regarding sending an item abroad never mind the delivery service being complete trash too. Please do not use this service as you can read from the reviews, they don't answer their phones and they obviously do not update their system either. Horrible service and no matter what, I will get my money back if I am unable to ship this item.

booked a delivery to Germany on Thursday, to be collected by GLS the following day. Of course nobody showed up, tried to call their support number during the weekend but there was no answer. Call them on Monday about it, they had a ridiculous excuse - the driver couldn't find the address on Friday (but will find it now)- and it will be collected today. Again, no one showed up.

Absolutely useless company.
Took at least 10 days longer to deliver very important documents than I was told it would.
Cost €63 for a service that the regular post would have cost about €5.and took about the same amount of time .
Zero after sales service. Gave a negative review on their website, but see they only respond to the positive reviews.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I booked an international delivery and GLS didn't collect the parcel at all. I followed up with ParcelDirect and the reason GLS gave was absolutely ridiculous. I never received any refund from ParcelDirect. They promised the refund several times but never delivered. It's been over a month now. Sometimes they don't even reply to emails.
It's a scam, don't bother!

Total SCAM. I booked an international delivery for a birthday gift in July 2022. First problem - when booking the €67 came off my bank account but the final website page didn’t load so I didn’t receive a tracking number, I didn’t even receive an email with this information. Eventually got one a few days later after contacting them. Next problem was that it was just never collected from the drop off point despite my emailing them about it. I went and fetched my uncollected parcel from the drop off point today almost 7 weeks later. Such a waste of money and time.

Don't book a Next Day Delivery with this company if you need a Next Day Delivery! Apparently it means, 'We'll get it there as soon as we can', which isn't much help if you have a deadline to meet. Upon booking no notification was given that it possibly wouldn't meet the Next Day Delivery commitment, otherwise I could have made alternative arrangements. The company refuses to refund my booking as apparently Next Day delivery is not guaranteed, so I don't understand why they advertise it! To balance this review my parcel was delivered, albeit too late for the deadline I had to meet, however I would have thought that was the fundamental criterion for a delivery company

shocking company to deal with book in a collection 3 days ago still sitting in my hall waiting for a driver to collect was promised twice today a driver would be here before 5.30 its now 7 in the evening and still no sign have email for a refund so lets see how long this will take.

SCAM COMPANY! BEWARE!
They will say they attempted delivery and produce a BS statement saying so.
THEN, they contact you back a month later saying that since the package was returned it will cost 54 euros for the fuel surcharge.

This company is a Scam. NEVER EVER use it. They lost my luggage 1 and half years ago, i’ve still not received any compensation back or even the money it cost me to post the luggage. The manager has not even once called me back and I have asked so many times. Absolutely appalling Scam of a company.

Courier of documents from Republic of Ireland to the UK.
I specifically paid for NEXT DAY DELIVERY, cost €10 more than the 2-3 day delivery.
Documents were collected on Tuesday morning, supposed to arrive by 6pm on Thursday - it was then delayed to Friday by 6pm! I have just received ANOTHER notification that it's again delayed and supposedly will arrive there on Monday by 6pm - So NEXT WORKING DAY has turned into almost a week.
Your customer service who I did contact was no help at all, basically making it my problem and offered NO assistance as to why my documents have been delayed - I was just told that this can happen and when they themselves use this servive it arrives the next day - well naturally it would because you clearly prioritise your own items and couldn't really be bothered by your customers.
Should have rather used AN Post which would have cost €19 for 2 day delivery.

Great Service. Collected parcels on 2 occasions lately and delivered on time to the Netherlands and Spain. Everything arrived on time and in perfect condition. The courier was very helpful and when out of his way when collecting parcel.

I paid for 1 to 2 day package delivery to Italy which didn't arrive for over a week. Following a series of emails no explanation was given as to delay & on requesting a refund I was told they don't guarantee delivery times (terms & conditions) so no refund would be offered.
Basically this is a business offering a service based on delivery times charging on a sliding scale depending on number of days it takes for an item to arrive at the destination. When the service falls short of what has been paid for Parcel Direct is happy not to compensate its customers for a shoddy service.
Is this an Industry standard? If so it needs change I paid €35 for a service that fell below what I paid for.
I will be using An Post in future for less than €10 with a 3 to 5 day delivery.
