We’re on a mission to fix the broken coffee industry. Due to the traditional complex supply chain, many farmers live in poverty while others profit on the erratic commodity market.
We go straight to some of the world’s best coffee farmers and put out unnecessary middlemen. So we can give those that make the coffee a price that’s truly fair. In 2022, it was, on average, 76% above the Fairtrade base price.
We can avoid the commodity market because all of this coffee is speciality-grade (the very best). Once it’s in the UK, it’s roasted fresh in Surrey just before it’s delivered to you. Because nothing beats freshly roasted coffee.
How does it work?You can buy on a one-off basis from our online store or subscribe & save. Our subscriptions are as flexible as it gets – you can skip, cancel, pause or reschedule at the touch of a button online. And you can have coffee delivered as much as every two days to every two months.
Is it environmentally friendly?Our roastery is carbon-neutral, and we introduced fully recyclable packaging in 2023. We’re also a certified B Corp, which means we’re recognised as using business as a force for good. To read more, have a look at our transparency report.
Do I have to pay for delivery?Claim free delivery when you Subscribe & Save or spend £15. Other orders incur a £2.49 delivery fee.
Is there much choice?We expect to have around 200 coffees from eight different countries on our menu in 2023 – and we’re always looking to work with more farmers.

Sent a totally different coffee…
I ordered Muungano unfortunately it had sold out before my order was forfilled, I was sent Bourbon Cream instead. I wasn't informed of this change or asked if this was a good substitute for me, I was very perplexed when I received a different coffee to what I knew I'd ordered, it wasn't until I emailed to query that my order confirmation and account were different, that I was informed they had substituted it and they hoped I liked their choice! A quick text or email asking if I wanted a substitute, and which one or if I would like to cancel would have been excellent customer service, I appreciate that sometimes there is an unaccounted for shortage but to remove the customers choice on such a personal experience is unacceptable. It has unfortunately left me disappointed and I would be reluctant to order again from Pact.

You’re absolutely right that we should have contacted you before making a substitution. While Muungano becoming unavailable was unfortunately outside of our control, changing the coffee you had specifically chosen without giving you the opportunity to decide whether you wanted a substitute, a different coffee or to cancel was not the right approach. We appreciate that choosing a coffee is a personal experience, and we completely understand why receiving something different without being asked would be disappointing.
We’ve taken your comments on board and will be feeding this back to the team so we can look at how we handle situations like this in future. We really do appreciate you highlighting it, as it gives us an opportunity to improve the experience for our customers.
We’d also really like you to take advantage of our Pact Promise. If you didn’t enjoy the Bourbon Cream you received, please get in touch with us and we’ll be very happy to arrange a replacement with a coffee that you’ll hopefully enjoy much more.
I’m sorry again that we didn’t give you the choice we should have, and that this experience has left you reluctant to order from Pact. We hope we can have the opportunity to put this right for you.
