Spares unheard of?
Now using my second Oris Towbar and while I have been very satisfied with the product, back up and customer service is shocking.
So my recent towbar, fitted by my local BMW agent at a mere £3290 had a small problem. The white cap that covers the keyhole for the locking mechanism on the removable tow hook failed, leaving the lock exposed to the weather. I was unable to locate one on the WWW so wrote to Oris. No response. Then I contacted my BMW agent who could not locate one either and even contacted BMW. I was told that the towbar had a 2 year warranty but I would have to book the car in and pay £175 for a diagnosis. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
So far Im not impressed!!!
Finally after more searching I discovered a Ford Dealer who had stock and I was able to order one £8 plus £4 postage.
My conclusion must be that Oris ( and BMW ) are contributing to the total move the UK is taking us towards collapse. How simple can it be to buy a small white piece of plastic to fit a £3k towbar on a £55k car?
