Bullying tactics of the supervisor
I had the worse customer service experience whilst shopping at one beyond in St stephens yesterday. First from the shelf stacker lady and a follow up grilling from the supervisor at the till, in front of on looking custmers. All because I accidentally knocked something off the shelf and couldn't reach to put it back. I am a grandmother of 4, I have an injured back and carpal tunnel in my hands. I am very upset the way that the on duty staff and supervisor handled the situation. This supervisor obviously needs alot more training. Preferably another job that does not include customer care. He is a bully and should definitely not be able to deal with the public.
Rude and disrespectful customer service One Below shop at Forge…
I visited the One Below shop at Forge Shopping Centre on 6th January 2025, around 2:00–2:30 pm. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing due to the behaviour of a female staff member who served us.
She was very rude and impatient from the beginning. When we asked normal questions about product prices and costs, she appeared irritated and annoyed, as if we were troubling her. She used inappropriate and abusive language, refused to provide proper assistance, and clearly did not want to help us.
She also said she could not give change for cash and insisted we should pay by card instead, in a very dismissive manner. The way she spoke and behaved felt unequal and disrespectful. The treatment we received felt discriminatory, and it was uncomfortable and upsetting.
This kind of behaviour is unacceptable in a customer-facing role. I hope the management takes this seriously and provides proper training to staff so that customers are treated with respect, regardless of background.
Very rude and arrogant cashier
Very rude female cashier with a loud mouth in South Shields store (North of England) has no respect or manners towards customers. Unfortunately, they don’t wear name tags otherwise I would have taken this up with the regional manager. Bad customer service is one of the reason why high street shops are wrapping up and losing a lot of business to online shopping. But I’m sure staff like these don’t give a toss long as they get their next pay check, absolute disgrace.
One Beyond
One Beyond, Shepherd's Bush, London, W12 8PP – the manager, Urvi, is racist with very bad behavior. She has assaulted customers and hired her relatives as staff members. I worked there as a security person, and she once commanded me to assault a British woman. When I refused, she complained and fired me inside the store’s toilet, which was in a very disgusting condition. She is also involved in corruption and has stolen store money. Her attitude is extremely rude.

My shopping list
1) Paint brushes, left streak makes and fibres in paint, they are now in the bin!
2) Paint Roller, fell apart in less that 30 mins, it's now in the bin!
3) Paint tray, cracked and split and leaked paint onto the floor, also now in the bin!
4) LED light, remote works once, turn the light off and it works once again, can't use without the remote so it's now in the bin!
5) Haribo, tasted great 👍🏻 wrapper in the bin as planned. But it's a branded product.
6) Spray paint, more air than paint, was finished in seconds and empty can in the bin!
7) More LED lights, self adhesive strips not included as stated. These might go in the bin just out of consistency.
8) Lint Remover, soon as it makes contact it stops, in the bin!
9) Extension lead, sparks when you plug it in, in the bin before it causes and fire.
One Below - sure is below!! Below any standard that should be sold in the UK, I did wonder why the shop isn't busy now I know why, other retailers are above.
Let me tell you something it's only value if you get value out of the product, products are a waste of money. As for the staff.... well assuming training and development isn't high on their priority maybe because there's not budget for it from all the refunds, lack of customer retention and wasting salaries in buyers and that can only source product from the same manufactures as Wish, well I wish I never went in. The girl smoking in the blue polo shirt at the front door should have been a give away.

dont go to this shop! disgusting behaviour from staff i mistakenly sprayed a deoderent bottle and imidiatly got attacked by all workers and they followed me around the shop making sure i had payed for it and even called security and even threatened to call the police! dont bother going to this shop if you dont want to pay for something you dont even want! f your shop and your staff

One-below theft and the staff knew
A chav in a baggy grey tracksuit charged into the South Shields branch of one-below, took loads of tins of deodorant right from the back of the bottom shelf and stuffed them down his clothes. I caught up with him at the till where he was paying for one can of coke and chatting away to the lad on the till as if they were friends. When he left I told the lad on the till what had actually happened, he had no interest at all. There were cameras up all over the shop but no other shop staff to inform. A really unpleasant and frustrating shop experience.

I'm reviewing for their branch in Manchester fort cheethamil. The manager there is a numpty and very rude. She need to be taken off that post. I tried to approach her as a regular customer to discuss about this their new product. The miracle cleaner pink stuff which was horrible it cleans. nothing. Total gabbage. She just walked off on me rudely . Stay away from their cleaning product except you want to waste money.

You are at it again the price tag on the shelf is more at the till.bought a bottle of Astonish Mould blaster £1.25p shelf price. On leaving the store looking at the receipt it was £1.39, couldn't go back was late for my bus.Get it together, or you won't last long.
It has a few nice bits
It has a few nice bits, but quite a lot of tat. The prices sometimes come up higher at the till and there are misleading prices on the shelves, beware. Happened three times now.

Shocking experience security guard was so rude before myself and son entered the shop he was stood behind use as we picked up a basket and stood behind us all the way round the shop asked for his details wouldn't hand them over asked staff for assistance and they was rude saying nothing they can do and wouldn't give any information on how we could put a complaint in
It was a really bad shopping experience…
It was a really bad shopping experience yesterday. I finished my shopping and was ready to pay. Then I waited to pay. The employee asked the people in the other row to come over and pay first. A woman pushing baby pram came over. I just get out of the way and let others pay first. The woman paid the money. I'll just wait there. The male employee then asked a row of people over there to come to his side to pay. But no one came to pay at all. In the other row, there were not many people paying at that time. He just wouldn't pay me. I'll wait over there. Waited for about one or two minutes. No one came at all. The male employee still didn't pay me. I walked to another row to pay. I was really angry. Is it just because I am Chinese? So he discriminates against me?
I absolutely love one below however
I absolutely love one below and go their constantly however this time I was minding my own business, shopping around at all the new items and almost bumped into two college working in one below, me thinking “oops, just both passing the corner and I said sorry and thought that was the end of it”. Whilst the person I almost walked into almost swore (which I get although a simple sorry for almost bumping into me would of be polite), the second colleague on the other hand (which was from what I saw in charge of the cameras at the front of the store but was being shown something quite rudely said “always in the way”, it came out of no where and was just unnecessary. I was quite uncomfortable and another colleague of his was restocking the shelf even looked over and gave him a look (maybe overhearing it). If I didn’t really want what was in my basket then I would have just walked out. All I ask is that we treat everyone with a little bit more respect
Experience at one below
Overall my experience was mediocre, the variety of products was good however the two older women in black seemed to be doing all the work and the younger ones seemed to be very easily distracted, in particularly a woman with dark hair who was stood near the til who was constantly on her phone.

Went to buy Vaseline body creams, clearly marked at £1.50 for the three different varieties/ went to the till & paid which should have been £10.50 for 7 bottles. They charged me £17.50! I queried this & they said ‘sorry prices went up today’! I challenged them as they should honour the price which is shown / the manager of the store came over & said ‘sorry but we are short staffed, in hindsight we should have taken the stock off the shelves.,. Sorry can’t do anything about it (shrugged her shoulders in an uncaring way)’ Very unprofessional lady & as I tried to explain she should still honour my purchase she said no, can’t. Then offered to refund me! So guys never trust the prices they show in this shop … their motto is great value store, but as u trust and tap, walk out - u may not have realised u have been overcharged. I am posting this in anger as it happened to me before so that’s why I checked my bill.

Poor service and policies
The sweets were incorrectly priced or left in the wrong place. I only realised a couple of minutes after leaving the store that I had paid £5 each for 2 tubs of sweets rather than £1.25 each. I explained the story to one of the cashiers, another lady butted in rudely saying they cannot accept it even though i was on CCTV the whole time. Then she compared one below to Tesco (who infact accept returned sweets within 30days). The lady racially profiled me, spoke to me rudely and walked away saying call head office if you want,. The number is on the window… Swindon store
