This is now the third time I have…
This is now the third time I have raised concerns about the handling of my complaint, and I remain extremely dissatisfied with the service provided by the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales. The delay of over a year to deal with my case is unacceptable for a publicly funded body that is supposed to protect the public and ensure accountability. There has been a lack of transparency, poor communication, and no meaningful progress updates, which has significantly undermined my confidence in the organisation. I also strongly object to public funds being used to commission Beaufort Research to conduct a survey when there are already 37 one-star reviews on Trustpilot, raising serious concerns about delays and service standards. As a taxpayer, I believe resources should be focused on resolving complaints efficiently and restoring public trust, not on commissioning external research while complainants continue to experience unacceptable delays. Don't waste your time on this bunch of parasites. How have the key performance indicators been measured to ensure that they are fit for purpose

Monmouthshire housing association have broken private and confidential information code of conduct yet no one does anything about this. Monmouthshire housing association have blackmailed, tortured, harassed, no done repairs since November 2021 to a disabled residents property, from door smashed in 3/3/2025 mha claim they'll replace it 3/9/2021 six months disabled residents property was left unsafe and unsecured. Exchange forms filled out June, mha refuse to add information for disabled resident to track progress, mha refuse to communicate during exchange progress, both in exchange are extremely distressed as mha continue their revolting behaviour towards disabled resident and their future resident. Yet the Welsh ombudsman stand by these abusers and do nothing. There is no impartiality in the ombudsman. They accidentally admitted that they don't read any of the patient's information before making a decision in the health board’s favour. So, the health board frames the complaints the way they want, answers them the way they want, and the ombudsman signs off on it as if it’s acceptable.
This is what happens when people have absolute job security. The customer is never right, because the ombudsman and the health board never have to be wrong—there is no accountability for them. This stops a service from being a service and turns it into a "them vs. us" culture. Our NHS has become an abuse factory.

Their handling of my case , in my opinion, a waste of Welsh taxpayer money. Trustpilot has enough opinions about their shortcomings without funding these wasteful surveys. Trustpilot identifies what the Public thinks of these parasites' job worths

When public services are not held accountable and public standards are not raised, the public services and employees in Wales may suffer from subpar performance. To raise standards, I can recommend a good book: The Welsh Ombudsman might find it worthwhile to read Philip Crosby's Zero Defects because, according to their Trustpilot evaluation, they are failing the Welsh Public by not doing their job
A hopeless waste of time.
Having provided the ombudsman with significant evidence they chose to introduce their own version of that evidence to justify their decision not to pursue the matter.
When a formal review of the decision was requested the reviewing officer ,despite being offered clear facts as to why the original decision was incorrect and that the evidence had not been considered properly supported their own member of staff.
It is clear that my experience is reflected in the content of other reviews .
I spent a considerable amount of time presenting clear evidence and the response I received was based on an alternative version of the events not supported by any evidence and made up by the person responding.
My advice is to not waste your time with this public body as they in my experience have no interest in investigating complaints but spend their time presenting flawed reasons as to why they should not do so.
It is highly surprising that they do not have an appeals process and then refuse to engage in any further dialogue .
Very disappointing experience with a very costly and in my experience ineffective public body.

The reviews here left by others accurately describes my experience with PSOW.
I was advised by take my housing disrepair issue to them by Shelter Cymru and CAB.
Months went by before a ‘case worker’ was appointed (I suspect only when I was chasing them up) only to be told that my complaint to them could not be considered because it was ‘premature’ because the housing company had a 2 stage complaint process - which they’d neglected to inform me. But the PSOW in their wisdom had informed the housing association directly of this and had passed a full copy of my complaint to them without any prior dialogue with me first! In doing so they had shared my mobile number with the housing association putting me of further risk of abusive phone calls from them (the ICO sanctioned the housing association in the past for this). When I complained to the PSOW about this data breach, all they did were tell me I ticked a box consenting that the MAY be allowed to share the details.
YOU EITHER ARE A CASE OF THEIRS, OR NOT, if my complaint was premature THEN DON’T INTERFERE- return the matter to me, DO NOT COLLUDE.
I should have gone straight to a no win no fee legal company for redress.
Now I’ve had to complain about the PSOW for breach of Data to the ICO.
The PSOW are providing a disservice to the nation.

Thank you for your email but I am at a loss as to how you came to the conclusion that the complaint was about a PCN rather than the obstructive attitude of Swansea City Council, their refusal to follow legislation.and their refusal to name the person who issued this illegal fine which contravenes The Fraud Act 2006 s.4 (2) and the Nolan Principles. 'Parking Services' is not a valid name and even at that initial stage the issuance of a demand for money by an unnamed person is not only a malicious communication but demanding money with menaces.
I have no reason to appeal a PCN as they are fines and therefore illegal before a court conviction (Bill of Rights 1688 article 12) and the Council has no authority. to act as a court and issue one (Local Government Act 1888 s.78).
As the Council had directed their PCN at the wrong person since we were neither owner or registered keeper of the car in question then we do not expect to have to appeal something where the council cannot have a chose in action or valid complaint in the first place..
The demand to provide and prove private medical information also contravenes the Equality Act 2010. There is no requirement on anyone's part to do that.
These were included in my complaint, the reference to the PCN merely background information so that you could see how the contraventions by the council could be evidenced.
Most Ombudsmen actually return a draft decision to the complainant for comment before dismissing it and informing the council of the decision. This does not appear to have been undertaken.

I can’t understand the purpose of this organisation. It’s an absolute disgrace. They are more awful than the original awful companies they are supposed to protect customers from. Bet they get paid a lot of backhand commission from business. Recently we went to ombudsman after Magnet kitchen refused to honour the guarantee terms even though there was 3 more years left of the guarantee period. We went to ombudsman because we were told that’s the next stage in the escalation process and we didn’t even get any response for 2 months and we had to chase them. Next day they emailed saying they contacted the kitchen maker and there is nothing they can do. They don’t have to honour the warranty because they discontinued the colour (we have no problem if they replace it with a different non-faulty alternative colour) and we had the use of the kitchen so far up until now. So apparently it’s ok to not honour the warranty terms. What a truckload of rubbish.

Council Tax Percentage increase Lies
I can only echo other reviews, absolutly pointless waste of tax payers money having this apparently impartial ombudsman. My complaint is regarding council tax and being told a percentage its going up by. If you do the maths its always lower as they don't include the Police Crime Commisioner on the percentage increase. Its on the Council Tax Demand so it should be on the percentage increase. Apparently its not part of council Tax, Well it should not be on the council tax demand letter.
Ombudsman are useles and a waste of time, However they will get the complaint again if the council incorrectly publish a lower percentage to make them look good next year.

Appealed about a Powys County Council decision to allow illegal installation of an electric car charger(planning) and cable layage for usage on a public highway(obstruction) from a private residence (by Council employees nonetheless)!
Informed officially submitted complaint would not be considered due to "lack of resources", though admitted it was due merit for consideration.
Either do the job properly or don't bother at all, wasting tax payers' money in the process!
Morally corrupt
The Ombudsman in Wales exists solely to protect public institutions and offer a veneer of legitimacy to a morally bankrupt, decaying system of governance that would make the last days of the Soviet Union look like the glory days of Rome. The law means nothing to these people, except the part that guarantees their continued, unjustifiable, public funding. A reckoning is long overdue.
