On-line order of file cabinet at Office Depot
I ordered a two drawer file cabinet from Office Depot/OfficeMax for my elderly mother online about four months ago. It was delivered to her complex in a timely manner, but the driver did not take it to the apartment; he left it in the common area and the unit was stored somewhere by an employee of the complex. When I called OfficeMax/Office Depot, they reported it delivered, but I told them we never received it, so they cancelled it and refunded my money. The people in customer service were actually quite nice. The refund was reversed about a week later, as I saw it reappear on my credit card, but no one had called or emailed to explain. This happened almost identically once more, where I got credit from a customer service supervisor this time, but it was reversed. About this time the building staff where my mother lives notified us they had found the file cabinet stashed away, and would leave it in the main reception area to be picked up. I called and the Office Depot folks again, and they were very nice, but the cabinet was not picked up and the credit was once again reversed. No one emailed or called to explain. I have tried again today to try to have them pick it up, to be picked up Monday, 12-23, so I have my doubts this will happen. The people in customer service at Office Depot/OfficeMax were once again very nice and understanding, but their online system is not the best, and a few of their people even expressed to me that they had issues with their online systems at times. So in conclusion, I would say the 800 number customer service people are very nice, but their system is not well designed and the customer service people do not seem to be able to control anything. People at upper levels in the organization seem to override them on everything they do, and there is no communication. I think store purchases at Office Depot/OfficeMax are fine, but the organization is not well prepared for on-line orders. 403430817-001
Just don’t buy from this company
If I could give a negative score, I would. Had to call the HQ to get around $12 order cancelled after part of the order went through and I received it and the other part said there was an address issue with my cc (there absolutely isn’t). It was like pulling teeth and it feels like this company is living in 1985 with its capabilities and practices. I hate supporting the “A” company, but I will say if smaller corps want to compete, they are going to have to do better than this.

Realicé un pedido en línea y es la fecha que no mandan nada y marqué y la única vez que me contestaron me dijeron que ya les aparecía como entregado y que levantarían un reporte y que volviera a marcar para ver que seguimiento había y nunca que me contestan ni por llamada, ni por correo ni por sus redes sociales ni nada. Paid for Fedex package delivery on Friday Nov 22, 2024, asked for overnight shipment that wasn't available. Employee stated they had the 2 days delivery and package would arrive on Sunday Nov 24, 2024. Paid and left package. Package wasn't showing up in system when I went to track, kept saying label was created and not picked up. I went back to Office Depot to inquire and was told package was picked up on Friday by Fedex. Called numerous times to Fedex and they said they don't have package to go back to Office Depot. No one wants to take accountability and is saying go back to other. Package just left Hagerstown and is suppose to arrive on Nov 27, 2024. It missed the deadline of delivery and Fedex and Office Depot is pointing the finger at each other and don't want to take the ownership of accountability. Where is the customer service. I just want a refund because the package wasn't delivered by due date.

Worst online buying experience I've ever had! Website hard to navigate. Sent incorrect items and was impossible to straighten it out online, even leaving. a message which, of course, was never returned. Took everything to the nearest store 10 miles away to return wrong items and the manager gave me a big hassle.

October 21st around 3pm, I went to the Glen Burnie MD store to mail a package,there was 1 person in front of me and the employee Fredrick did not even acknowledge that I was there, about 15 minutes later after complaining about customers being upset and how he handled the situation.He finally came to help or so I thought,he told me to fill out information on computer but I needed help to fill out.He told me that it's not My Job and walked away.Another customer heard everything and came to help me,later at the end I asked him his name and he told me and only then did he explain about why he couldn't help me which I totally understand but the way you talked to me made me feel less then and I was very upset maybe more training in social skills and customer service I just hope he doesn't treat your other customers like that.

Don't trust ordering shredding online
I placed an online order for shredding and was told I would be contacted with 3 days to set up a date. Ten days later when I contacted OD they said to call the shredding company. I had already contacted them and they had not received the order. After 3 phone calls to OD and 2 to the shredding company I gave up and asked for a refund. The OD rep I spoke to said it was my job to deal with the shredding company, not theirs. Very bad experience.

Yesterday, I visited Fairless Hills, Pa Office Depot. I needed a printer as well as to return the defective one under warranty.
I was fortunate to be served by Sabrina. She was super in every way and made it easy to return as well as buy a new replacement printer. The whole transaction was quick, efficient, pleasant and professional. Sabrina went over and above in making things easy including issuing bonus credit from the past purchases.
I strongly recommend to reach out to Sabrina while in Office Depot .

After ordering a chair online and driving to the store to pick it up, I was informed that the chair was not available because it had sold out at that location. Even the floor model was gone, despite being instructed to pick it up per the website. I was told it would be delivered between 6-7 pm on the 29th as it was at the warehouse. So, I drove back home to Vancouver, Washington.
Almost home, I received an email stating that the chair was no longer available at Office Depot. This meant turning around and going back to the store for a refund. Upon arrival, I was then told it was not eligible for a refund, only store credit. I demanded a refund, and the clerk processed it. When I asked for proof of the refund, she said she didn't know how. Another employee finally printed a screenshot of the refund and said that the $216 would go back onto my card in 24-48 hours. Well, it's July 3rd, and no refund has been issued.
I have now filed with the BBB and also filed a complaint with the Oregon State Attorney General's office for consumer protection.
I have shopped at Office Depot before, but this will be the last time. From now on, I will go to other large box stores for my office supplies. My trust in this company no longer exists. How can you sell something you don’t carry, refuse to give a refund on something you no longer have, and then have the audacity to offer "Store Credit"? DO NOT SHOP AT OFFICE DEPOT!

I went to office depot to talk to the manager on Saturday he called you guys to dispute my issue but no one solved anything.
On May 11th, I bought several gift cards from office depot on 27th street (milwaukee) the transaction keep failing as the system kept flagging them.
I got 2 transactions of $892.75 but the. Got refunded $543.85 and $592.75
Went home to use 1 Mc gift card of $200 and 2 Mc. Gcs of $100 each. none of those work as they said they were not activated, and no one seems to be able to help. you sold me $400 worth of defective gift cards

I used an e-gift card to purchase a printer, it was sent to another state through no fault of my own. They refunded the order but are mailing me a gift card. Now I can either re-order with a credit card and get stuck with a gift card to this crap place or wait 3-4 WEEKS for my card to show up in the mail and reorder. Order elsewhere.

Probably the worst company I have had to deal with. I purchased a trial $49 Business Select account. I called to cancel and was told I would get my refund in short time. I waited a month and called a second time and this time was given a cancellation number and was told I would be receiving my refund shortly. Now after five weeks I just now called and was told my account was in fact cancelled but my refund was not sent. They issued me yet another cancellation number and I was told another person will be calling me within 24-48 hours to give me some type of details regarding my $49. I was also told to hold on the line to give feedback regarding the customer service I just received. Guess what? After I waited a minute it hung up. Big surprise! What a ridiculous excuse for a company. They are off my list.
