Stay at this place (Muthu Southend) whenever go to gigs at Cliffs Pavilion as 2 mins walk away. View of sea from reception when tide in is amazing. Nearest train station is Westcliff. If no iron in room, request one. Parking prebook by app. on street as no hotel carpark. Large bar and has restaurant. Old building so floors creaky. When have any issues if available to do so they are dealt with by manager. Recommend this hotel.

Arrived at the hotel Muthu Newton in Nairn and were surprised at the grandeur of the building exterior and interior. Checked in quickly and easily and took cases to our room. We had booked crfeam tea so went straight down to the bar. Nobody there to greet us and waited, and waited. Eventually somebody came to our table. Advised we had booked cream tea and shortly afterwards were served with bucks fizz and scone, cream and jam etc. We received the evening dinner menu from reception which we took to our room to look over and choose what we wanted. When we went to the restaurant in the evening, we were presented with a slightly different menu with our choices not on there. The main course chicken I had was tough, part of the meal very hot and part luke warm. For dessert we were advised they did not have the vanila icecream which went with a few of the dishes. I chose the apple crumble with custard which was awful, large pieces of hard apple and a paper thin layer of crumble.
The server did not ask us if the food was alright or why I left most of my meal and dessert. When we went to our room the noise was awful and the receptionist eventually found out it was coming from the other restauarant which had a group eating. We were moved to a much quieter room on a different floor but was very inconvenient unpacking, packing and unpacking again etc. We did not get much of an apology either. The bedroom and bathroom were very nice but our experience overall was not good. Breakfast was average. Service was not helpful or friendly.

We attended a dinner dance at this venue ,the food was good the service not great very unorganised and extremely slow service which put the whole evening behind schedule .The venue was cold although they advised heating was on and the hotel itself a little dated. Parking also a big problem Rooms basic but OK.
With better catering service and warmth plus a little refurbishments you could give it an extra star hence room for improvement.

Upon staying at the Grand Muthu Forte Do Vale we cannot fault the staffs attention to detail, friendly, professional service and the Manager Miguel is an asset to the group.

After a rocky start with the Muthu Hotels both Miguel and Sid (Muthu Aura Apartments) could not have done any more - true professionals and couldn’t help enough. Thank you from me and my family for helping to make memories ❤️

currently staying in fort william hotel and gotta say surprised by some of the negative review im finding hotel perfect for my needs and even if it wasn’t for work id be happy to return, the rooms are good size shower is marvellous btw , can’t fault the food either only my second night and it’s been fresh and tasty and plenty of it too , only thing might be off putting to some it’s not totally modern as in all high tech and polish marbel it’s more traditional feel which i think is in keeping with the area and experience

Muthu Alexandra hotel Oban. Hotel situated with outstanding views of the Oban harbour bay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Meals excellent. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Large dining room and large lounges. Unfortunately the swimming pool and Spa were out of action due to servicing.

We booked to stay in their hotel in albufeira. Complained about a banging noise heard every night on three consecutive days and they completely ignored our complaints. Upon arriving home I again complained by email to be told that they investigated the noise but couldn’t find the cause. We had two rooms for our party and the noise was heard in both , also people the other side of us were so aware of the noise they slept in the lounge area. I would not recommend this hotel or the response from their head office to anyone. Better to find a company who actually care about your stay.

My wife booked a room for 3 night stay at the Muthu Alexandra in Oban at 7 pm 30/11/2024 on the Muthu website. We planned an early 6 am start the following morning for the 300 mile trip from the Manchester area. About to leave at 5.55am my wife was looking at her e mails and saw this.

On the reservation confirmation received within 20min of booking there was no mention that the Alexandra was closed
We have stayed at the Alexandra many times and are very familiar with Oban and we knew the Regent would not meet our needs as parking is
not available on site.
A refund was eventually obtained but more to the point The Alexandra is still being advertised by Muthu themselves and on Booking.com, Hotels.com and other sites this needs to be addressed.
We would not rule out a return to the Alexandra in the future as we have always enjoyed our stay and the service.

Stayed at Clumber Park Hotel and Spa in Nottinghamshire. Not great paid £119 room only, the carpet was thread bare, the shower head was beyond old, the bottle of water provided had already been opened the seal was broken,the radiator would not turn off the room was red hot, mould on the windows one bed had a strong smell of urine comkng from the mattress. Hotel is right in the middle of a flight path, 737s every 2 mins. two swimming pools , are not big enough for the amount of guest, BIG sign says All towels will be removed, if left on the sun loungers No ball games, No inflatable toys, forget all that, every rule was broken Life Guard couldn't care a less. Don't get dressed up for dinner, as there is no dress code, so come into the Buffet restaurant wearing what you like, yes, its that's sort of Hotel it is. the Hotel is dated, it needs a update, and a good paint job, wouldn't go a miss, we booked a Junior Suit, it was nothing like the photos, Two Sigle beds, a bed sheet each and a large cover to go over the two single beds, (thought we would have a double, when i complained, i was told , all junior suits are the same., our Balcony was facing the busy road, so what with the plans going over our heads, every 2 minuets, and traffic going pass, all day and night, not much sleep for us. . where the Hotel is based there is nothing around , except for a pub x the road, and a supermarket, pool tables out of order, table tennis, with Battered bats, and don't even think about the Basket ball courts, they haven't been used for years, the gym , was a complete joke, weights thrown every where, no one to tidy it up, i went there two days in a row, and everything was the same. The Theme Restaurant was Fully booked, even when i witnessed and complained that there was only 3 people dinning, but they suddenly found a table for us, i wish we never bothered, 35 EUROS each, the theme night was Italian i had more Italian in my Pork Sausage then the Italian food that was on offer. the Hotel Chain Muthu Hotels are so big, that my recent Experience wont make a difference to them, but please don't book any of the hotels WITH THIS GROUP, AS IT WILL BE A WASTE OF MONEY AND WILL SPOIL YOUR HOLDAY.

I can list another Dozen things what is wrong with this hotel with this mob, who don't care about what there customers think or write, but do yourself a favor don't book a holiday with this group, certainly, not in Tenerife YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Muthu Keekorok Lodge - Kenya
I would caution against booking with Keekorok, we reserved a room and paid our deposit. Sometime after our booking was confirmed and deposit was paid Keekorok decided to increase the amount they wanted us to pay for the room. Essentially we were told pay more or don't stay with us. The additional amount we were asked to pay was significant. Call me a sceptic, but I suspect that once all the rooms were filled over our dates they tried to increase there prices for those who got earlier cheaper rates. The trouble was now it was so much closer to our trip (which was also planned during the busy migration period) there were very few alternating options to choose from. Most other places were either fully booked or extremely expensive. Begrudgingly we asked for our deposit to be refunded but weeks later we still haven't received it. This company doesn't have the morals or levels of customer service you might expect to get elsewhere. We won't book with them again and suggest you might avoid such a nightmare if you also avoid staying here.

Shocking experience!!! Muthu Newton Hotel, Inverness. We had booked an Executive Court Yard room for two nights and paid over £300 per night bed and breakfast for the pleasure. We checked in and were given a filthy, unheated budget room of £140 per night and the excuse given by the hotel was that it must have been the booking agents fault as they had experienced this sort of problem before. The very unhelpful Manager assured me that Executive Courtyard Rooms had not existed for 5 years (although the booking agents managed to book this) but the hotel manager (who refused to give me his name) was adamant it wasn't their site that was wrong. We were moved the second night into the main hotel which in all honesty I would not have been happy to pay £300+ for (nothing like the photos) and we were given a discount from the meal (which wasn't great either! and they ran out of cold wine!!).
What should have been a lovely memory of our stay was far from this. I am trying to find the contact to escalate our complaint higher but cannot find any details.

Road noise unbearable, bedding missing...just a sheet chucked over a mattress stained carpets, filthy bathroom as we had paid for a premium room the least you should get is a decent bed to sleep in. Breakfast cheap and basic, wouldn't recommend. What a shame could be great for it's location.

We stayed at the Muthu Alexandra hotel Oban on the nights of 25th and 26th may 2024.A group of eight of us.motorcyclest for our yearly may bank holiday away to Oban.We have stayed at this hotel more than once in the past and enjoyed our experience.Not this time there has been a change of ownership or management and the drop in standards was obviously massive.They must be trying to cut their bottom line as the quality of food went right down as so did the menu.Its an Indian menue with the choice of sea bass and lamb shank if you don’t prefer the main menu.The lamb shank was £30 the rest of the prices for the meals very expensive the wine choice and larger was limited.Myself suffered in the morning to a swollen left eye due to sleeping on my left side and. Having a reaction in my opinion to cheap washing detergent.The last time I was there last year as part of the group the bedding was soft fluffy and smelt fresh.The bedroom was hot and stuffy and you could not open a window.The breakfast fried eggs where small on hard I. Had scrambled eggs .I won’t be going back .

I booked 4 twin rooms for a group at the Muthu Alexandra Hotel, Oban for the nights of 25th and 26th May 2024. We have used this hotel many times over the years for out annual motorcycle trip to Oban. There has clearly been a change of ownership or management but this time our experience was nothing short of abysmal..! As bikers, we don’t need many comforts, we are used to roughing it a bit but I would warn off anyone looking to use this hotel. The cost vs value of food is disgraceful. For example, I paid over £20 for a vegan curry which consisted of two tiny florets of broccoli and three slices of carrot and four peas..! There was a little bit of rice on the side. Those that ordered fish and chips did not appear to get the sea bass as advertised, one of our group is an expert fisherman and he knows the difference. Also the chips looked to be two days old on the plate. I can only describe the staff at this hotel as incompetent at best although there was one or two examples of a slightly higher level here and there. One of our group is particularly sensitive to cheap washing detergent, the tissue around his eyes became swollen overnight to a point he could hardly see in the morning..! For the price we payed and the value we received we will not be back at this hotel which is a shame as we have fond historical memories. My general advise is give this one a miss if you have options, well until they get their act together…!

I would like to give this company no stars…but the system won’t let me.
I stayed in the Muthu Fort William Hotel for 3 nights 28/06/23 until 01/07/23.
Out of our 3 night stay we had no hot water for 2 of these nights. We did complain and were offered on the first night to use another room to shower only and then returned to our room. On the second night we were offered no alternative and could not shower. This was not great as we had been in Scotland hiking so needed to shower. Again we complained and asked to speak with the manger (who was not available) on check out I requested compensation for this horrendous stay and was told only the manger could do this…but they were not available to speak with (surprise surprise) I was assured that the manager would call me. He didn’t and I had to call the manager once back home (8 hours drive away) I spoke with the manger in the end who refused to offer compensation but would offer me a good deal when I next went to stay at the hotel…I declined the offer!
The booking was made through booking.com and they have also been trying to contact the hotel but again they are being ignored.
Stay somewhere else. Don’t not waste your money.

Do not stay here, they won’t refund your remaining balance. Room was filthy and unclean!

Disgusting lack of customer service. I was left sobbing at reception having found i had started my period on the spar day i booked. No sanitary products avalable to a lady, was told to go to asda to get my own. I had no transport and was in a swimming costume in reception. Was forced to phone my husband for help and too embarrased and humiliated to enjoy any part of the spa. Demanded a refund, was called a liar by managers who hid from me ( i am 5 ft 2 and a size 10- 48 yrs old) and had 3 police officers called on me. NO CUTOMER SEVICE, ACCOUNTABILITY or HOSPITALITY.
