Don't waste time and money

Don't waste time and money. I was able to get refund, however, all calling back and forth and get the information that doctors you wanted to see are not in network,even tho the Multiplan PPO represnentative said they were in network. I would not recommend anyone to have business with then. They will say they are the largest ppo network, I don't how did they post this on internet but that information is not accurate.

I’m 21 dealing with a ammuine disease…

I’m 21 dealing with a ammuine disease that I recently got and I been trying to get treated. It got to a point they needed a kidney biopsy to see if it’s damanged and they couldn’t even cover any of the bills. What’s the point on paying $256 a month if they can’t even cover that or anything else. I did eye exam and they said they charge me even more with insurance. Same with prescriptions. They gonna charge me even more for having insurance. As a 21 year old that’s works 2 jobs and full-time school. They are the worst and as a new person learning about insurance. This is the worst out of them all. Don’t get this insurance. They just steal your money and not help you out with anything. If you canceled the plan they don’t refund you anything. So there goes your money down the drain!!

I wish I would have looked more into this insurance after being laid off I needed something fast, I have paid over thousand dollars for this only to used it twice mammogram and yearly physical found out last minute they would not cover my doctor I which doctor last minute then didn't cover my medicine. I drop it first of the year. Just got a bill 244 dollars didn't cover the doctor visit claims said something about a flu shot. Still not working now have a bill I can't pay. The agent that sold me this should be fired I would have never got this insurance if they wasn't going to cover me.

Terrible

Terrible, they do bot cover anything. Made me get a prior authorization for my migraine medicine, just to not cover it and one was $1,078 and the other one over $3000. Do not waste your money with this insurance. Lucky for me it’s through my job and I can cancel it, I will not have $200 deducted from my paychecks just for them to not cover anything.

Everything at Enrollment Untrue

Everything about my insurance purchase with Multiplan went wrong. At enrollment, I was told not to go to Dr office for first 30 days, but instead to ER or Convenient Care. Then, after a convenient care visit was told coverage only in dr office. At enrollment, told my regular physician was in-network. After enrollment, not the case and my medical facility won't even bill Multiplan. I have to do everything for each claim myself. $1000 and not one cent of helpful insurance coverage for my son. No appointments paid toward or covered in 3 months. Cancelled policy.

As I was determining if MultiPlan was…

As I was determining if MultiPlan was right for me, I spent several hours on the phone with its representative while on a chat with my healthcare provider to come to an agreement concerning whether MultiPlan's offerings were In Network. I got Multiplan and the provider to agree that Antidote fit the requirements. No, it did not. I was getting letters from my healthcare provider that upcoming appointments were going to be full price because MultiPlan was out of network. RUN as fast as you can away from MultiPlan. Do not sign up. If you do sign with them, and you decide to sever ties with them, do so within 30 days to get your refund. If I could give them zero stars or minus stars, I would.

Worst company ever

I started a policy with them for my son. Be mindful that they never requested to talk to my son or have him sign anything for the policy. Got all the information for him and payment from me. Contact email/number/CC were/are mine. Fast forward about a year. My son got a job that offered health insurance so I called to cancel. They said it had to be my son. Finally get my son to the house a week later and had him call. He requested to cancel. Nope, he would need to fill out paperwork. I had them email it and son fill it out and send back right then while I had him at the house. Then they sent a text and said cancellation wouldn’t go into effect unless you respond Yes to this text. So replied yes. Called back. Well they at no point specified that the yes had to be in all caps. So resent the Yes in all caps. Still not cancelled. I’m abbreviating this but please note that they hung up on us twice and then disconnected the call immediately every time I called back after that. So I used a friend’s phone and got right through. I recorded each call and they confirmed that even though myself and my son had twice now verbally requested his policy to be cancelled and also sent in a written request, and the requested YES text, it would STILL not be cancelled until a “specialist” called my son(at some other unknown day/time) and spoke to him about his “options”. I assured them that getting my son to my house in the first place took an act of congress and it would take another to get him on a phone call(he’s young and doesn’t live with me) I asked to speak to this operation specialist now please. Not possible. I asked her to confirm that the policy would stay active and premiums would continue to be taken out until their socialist spoke to my son about these “options”. Whether this is an attempt to try and get him to not cancel or just stall and “unsuccessfully” get a hold of the customer so they can drag it out and hopefully get one more premium, I don’t know. But wow. I have no idea when or how this cancelation will ever happen. My son works long hours during the day and can’t take phone calls. And they close at 5pm. This company is literally holding us hostage. After verbal, written, and text request and confirmations to please cancel. I am now cancelling the card attached to his account so they can’t continue to charge me which is going to be a huge PITA. I will be submitting this to every review platform I find as well as the BBB. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT USING THIS COMPANY.

In my opinion

In my opinion, this company is an epic scam. When I called to cancel this insurance I got a run-a-round just trying to get it cancelled. Now, I've received a bill for over 300.00 for a service 2 YRS ago, that they haven't paid. The service was only supposed to cost me a 50.00 co-pay, which I paid at the time. If anyone has seen the Beekeeper, I believe this company is on par with the one in that movie. Steer clear of this one.

Receiving Call from Foreign Countries since I called them today

Misled by a salesperson of this company

I strongly advise against purchasing insurance from this company. I was misled by a salesperson who promised a comprehensive plan but failed to mention it was only a temporary 6-month option. This resulted in me losing my COBRA coverage and facing significantly higher medical costs. The plan did not cover anything, which cost me like cash patient. I am filing a complaint with the Consumer Bureau and urge others to be extremely cautious when dealing with this company."

Just go to goverment site so that you know what you are paying for.

Multi Plan is a SCAM.

A horrible experience all the way around. I was told that the Multi Plan was medical insurance and come to find out after I paid $397.00, I find out all that I was told was a lie. After I found out this information, I called back to cancel. I was connected with a women that wanted to know why I was canceling only to be told my response was not good enough. She kept interrupting me stating loudly... I DON'T CARE. I hung up on her and called back asking for a supervisor. I was told by the supervisor that he would connect me with someone that would be nicer. Huh? Ok. Spoke to another women that wanted to upsell me another kind of so called medical insurance for even more money. Seriously??? She did not want to refund my $397.00 until I signed up with her new offer. Ok. I see how this is going to play out, so let's play. I told her I really do want this so called more expensive medical insurance as it sounds perfect for my medical needs but being I'm short on funds, I could only make this happen once I receive the full refund of $397.00 so that I could apply it to the new offer. I said the minute I receive my full refund I will call you back personally and sign up so I don't have a lapse in my medical coverage. She finally agreed and sent the refund out with a letter of cancelation. That letter was gold to me. I called my bank to have my debit card number changed so they could not try to take monthy payments out of my account. I will never ever again shop online for medical insurance. This was a total unprofessional scam right out the gate. Never again.

SCAM

SCAM. Rep on the phone promised I would be able to go to a doctors appointment the day of the policy start. He knew I only needed it for one month. A few months later, the bill bounced back. I called and another customer service rep said there was a 30 DAY WAITING PERIOD to go to any doctor!!!! And that because it was talked about in the fine print of the policy it was not their responsibility to fund the bill and basically there is nothing they can do. There is a special place in hell for people who like scam people out of money for their healthcare.

The worst experience ever

The worst experience ever! I purchased the BalanceCare plan through them. Its the worst plan. They only cover first $20 of labs, most providers dont accept them. When I was trying to find a plan I gave their agent all my provider names and he allegedly looked them up and everyone was in network, only after signing up I found no one was. Paid $300 a month for absolutely nothing!

BE AWARE!

BE AWARE!! This company is a total scam. I was on the phone 3x trying to cancel my coverage, and they kept transferring me to new people and asking non stop why I wanted to cancel, and would never let me cancel. I had to have my cc company block future charges.

FOR PROVIDERS- IT IS A SCAM!

For providers:
I sent bills for my services to the good insurance of one of my patient. In couple of days I was contacted by Multiplan agent, who offered my about 1/4 of what I billed for saying it will be fast and the insurance company will never pay me amount I billed my patient for. I was told that most probably I will be paid even less than Multiplan offers me. I refused despite of Multiplan's repeated attempts to convince me they are paying more than the insurance. They sent me a letter to sign in for their plan, this letter did not even contain a single spot where I could refuse their offer, so I just left it unsigned. Insurance paid me amount I billed them for. 4 times more than Multiplan offered! I warn all providers: DO NOT DEAL WITH MULTIPLAN!

I had the worst experience trying to…

I had the worst experience trying to cancel my coverage. I had to talk to two individuals. They wouldn't let me cancel without an interrogation. The supervisor talked down to me and berated me for cancelling. He said he would "pray for me" because I was making a terrible decision. The supervisor was barely civil to me throughout the conversation; and at the end was outright hostile.
No legitimate company would treat their customers so badly; or make it so difficult to cancel service. For me, the horrific customer service confirms that I was absolutely right to cancel. I only regret signing up with this company in the first place.

I wish there was a zero rating option…

I wish there was a zero rating option for this company. I signed on with multiplan thinking I was getting great insurance and it's a joke. I won't waste my time going through my experience, other than to say that, when cancelling the insurance today, because thankfully, I am going on medicare, I was informed that there would be no rebate on the payment made on May 22, for coverage up until Jun. 22 that I don't need. Stay away from multiplan!

Unlucky for the patient who has this…

Unlucky for the patient who has this "network provider" Multiplan is not accepted by most legitimate physicians because of their poor payouts. They try to disguise themselves..and if you have to look in the back of your insurance card. It may say AETNA, United healthcare, or Cigna in the front. But it will say multiplan in the back.
