One of the milkshakes in my order spilled then the driver took my number and said he would get me a new one. Never got it, so I tried calling Mr D, there is never an answer. I've been logging a query every day now for 3 days because I want my money back. I get no response whatsoever. The customer service is very bad and unacceptable. Will never order from Mr D again!

Time delay, cold food
After collecting our meal today, the driver drove in the total opposite direction to our home for some time before realising the mistake. As a result, due to the added travel time, our food was stone cold. This was instantly taken up with Mr D, and the response was a R20.00 coupon. The ruined meal was in excess of R300.00. After further debate, the coupon value was increased to R30.00. Their excuse being that the food actually arrived "early", compared to their initial projected delivery time. As a years long supporter of Mr D, I will no longer be using their service and I caution other people to think wisely before supporting this awful provider.

I had a terrible experience with Mr delivery regarding an order I placed through Mr. Delivery for a Pick n Pay grocery delivery. The exact amount from my cart was deducted from my bank account, yet the order did not appear in my order history, and I received no confirmation that the store had received it.
When I reached out via WhatsApp to resolve the issue, I was told my order had “not been finalized” but given no proper explanation. After providing proof of the deduction, my chat was abruptly closed, and my follow-up messages were ignored. To make matters worse, I was asked to provide a **bank statement** to prove the transaction—something that is completely unnecessary and a violation of consumer rights under **POPIA and CPA laws** in South Africa.
This is completely unacceptable, unprofessional, and unethical. Instead of assisting customers properly, they shift the responsibility and avoid accountability. I am still waiting for my refund and a proper response. I would not recommend using this service unless you are prepared to deal with poor customer service and potential financial issues.

I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with the service I received from Mr. Delivery and Mug & Bean on my recent order. On 26 January 2025, I placed an order for three California breakfasts with extra fries through the Mr. Delivery platform.
Regrettably, when I received my order, I was shocked to find that it was incomplete. The order did not include the extra fries I had specifically requested, nor did it come with cutlery, salt, or pepper.
I immediately contacted Mug & Bean to report the issue, and they informed me that Mr. Delivery was responsible for the missing items, as they had allegedly given the fries to the delivery driver.
I have since attempted to contact Mr. Delivery through various channels, including phone calls, messages, and WhatsApp. Unfortunately, my efforts have been met with complete disregard. My messages and calls have gone unanswered, and the only response I received on WhatsApp was from a robot that failed to understand my complaint.
As a customer, I expect a certain level of service and quality from the establishments I support. The lack of attention to detail, combined with the poor communication and disregard for customer complaints, has fallen short of my expectations.
I hope that you will take my complaint seriously and take immediate action to address the issues I have raised. I would appreciate a formal response regarding the steps you will take to prevent such incidents in the future.

Atrocious service. This experience was not what I had become accustomed to with Mr D. The driver arrived. He shoved the pizza in my hands without uttering a single word. Not even a grunt. Regrettably I tipped upfront.
I sit down to eat my dinner and the pizza has clearly been dropped on its side. With most of the toppings lying in one corner.

I placed an order with Mr D using the Pick n Pay feature for groceries. Shortly after, I realized I had forgotten to add an item, so I used their "Update Order" feature. Instead of simply charging me for the additional item, Mr D charged me the full amount of R580 again, resulting in a total charge of R1,160.
Frustrated, I canceled the order, only to find out that the refund of R580 was credited to my Mr D account instead of being returned to my original payment method. This is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, the payout feature states that I now have to wait five business days to get my money back. Considering it’s the festive season, this delay is highly inconvenient.
The lack of a contact number to dispute issues like this is equally disappointing. I’ve been a loyal customer for 10 years, but this experience has made me reconsider using their service in the future.

Very bad and unprofessional services experienced. Placed the order on MrD for 3 lamb Biriyanis at Chennai Express Indian Restaurant Randburg, order arrived on time but when we start eating found all the Lamb Biriyanis were mixed with boneless chicken. Contacted the call center for complaint, service consultant asked for the pictures, pictures been sent via email and made a call after 45 min sent email to follow up the complaint but unfortunately the other services consistent was not very accommodating because she asked for more pictures which I felt were excuses not to resolve the matter. Even I told her send the driver to collect the food and investigate but she was insisting to send more pictures. According to me that is not the way resolving the matter . Very unprofessional, I deleted the MrD account, no need this app nonsense any longer, please watch if your are using the services for this app. Not recommendation for this app at all . The worst customers services and support.
