Website is horrible

I have had 2 bad experiences. The first, i ordered a product, should have had it by the time they informed me they didn't have it. The second,ordered
4 products with there credit card, after being approved. Then I got an email
Stating I was denied and 2 of the products were cancelled and 2 were still on the way. And to print off the label and return them. I purchased these before Christmas so I could make payments on them. Ended up having to
Pay for them all at once over the phone. It was a big hassle figuring out what I owed as well. After they sent them, the price dropped the very next day. Total hassle. Will never buy from this outfit again. The guy that handled my problem was ok but there communication and stock issues are
Really bad.

I am very sorry regarding the issues you had with our extended credit partner, Affirm. I know the process was frustrating and it was unfortunate that they were never able to extend credit to you. We have been working with Affirm to correct the issue that seems to be limited to customers who try to place an extended credit order using an iPad. Unfortunately, you just happened to be the first and only customer who experienced this problem.

I am a bit confused, however, regarding your other comments. In looking back through our records and talking with all of our staff it sounds as though your product shipped quickly and was actually delivered long before we resolved the payment issues. In fact, I believe we actually sent you a free return label so you could return the items after you told us that you wanted to cancel them. If this is incorrect, please let me know and I will be happy to investigate further.

Again, my apologies for the issues regarding using Affirm and making payment. If you have other information or more specifics regarding your other comments with regard to stock issues and communication, please let me know as we most certainly want to address those here at Mountains Plus.

Yakima holdup 2 racks was a great deal and super fast shipping

mountain plus gear had the best price by far for the Yakima holdup and holdup plus 2 bike racks on their website.

Called to make sure everything was really in stock and the reps were extremely helpful.

Got the racks in 3 days, super fast shipping.

Highly recommend this place.

Order cancelled, still charge my card 2 months later

"Worst experience ever, ordered a Thule cargo box in stock that never shipped. After waiting over a month, asked for cancellation. 2 months later, my credit card gets charged even though the order was cancelled."

Again, very sorry for the issues regarding your cargo box order. We had a period this fall where our cargo box shipments were significantly delayed. Unfortunately, however, it does not appear that you were notified and this is most certainly our fault.

It also looks like we initially missed the after hours chat request that you sent asking for your order to be cancelled. As a result, when your cargo box was ready to be shipped your order was charged and freight preparations were made. It was at this point, however, that we discovered your chat transcript asking us to cancel your order. We then cancelled the shipment but it appears that the refund was not automatically processed as it should have been.

We have implemented processes to make sure notifications are made properly in cases where there are delays and have resolved the issues surrounding your missed after hours chat transcript.

We constantly strive to provide excellent customer service and outstanding products. However, like any small company, we sometimes struggle with this and, occasionally, customers like yourself suffer. Please be assured that we are constantly working improve so that each customer experience is better than the last.

Delivery Good - Product Bad

I ordered ruffin' it Healthful Chicken Tenders. They arrived in a timely manner; however, the contents are dry and brittle instead of moist. All packages contained several small, broken and unusable pieces. I most definitely did not get my money's worth.

Took more than a month to receive items shown as "in stock"

When I ordered some baskets, they were shown as "in stock" and I was told they would ship within 48 hours. Two weeks later, I still hadn't received them. I had to personally contact MPgear to find out that the items were not, in fact, "in stock". They were backordered (I was given some BS about "it's in our other warehouse" — why not ship it directly from there?). It was more than a month before they finally arrived.

If the company had contacted me as soon as they realized there was a problem, I would have been fine with it. But to make me wait more than a month without any notification is extremely unprofessional.

While the price was right, I will never do business with this company again.

Awesome customer service! Great Pricing!

Have not put product together yet (Kuat Sherpa), so cannot speak to it's quality etc. But the Mountains Plus Company was very helpful, in addition to fast shipping. Plus, the BEST price I could find anywhere! Saved over $125.

Wrong products, took too long

The products in question were on backorder everywhere, so I shouldn't expect it quicker from Mountains Plus. However, their website seemed to indicate the product was available and would ship the next business day. It didn't ship until a week later.

If you use the "17 In Stock" style messaging everybody else uses, that would help with knowing whether to place a particular order, when a customer's in a hurry (as I was).

Otherwise, good website, hope you guys get it together - you've got better depth than a lot of other websites (incl. Amazon for cycling parts).

I had never heard of this company so I decided to call them. Excellent customer service over the phone. They answered every question I had. Decided to purchase the Yakima Fullswing bike rack from them. Highly recommend them.

EXACTLY As I Expected

Good price, slow to deliver.

Item listed as "in stock" and shipped 2 weeks later. I was told the item was en route to them from their warehouse/supplier via web chat when checking order status. That's not what "in stock" means. The price was good and because I was not in dire need of said item the wait was ok, but frustrating. If you need items in a hurry look elsewhere. The low price = wait time. Ultimately, I received what I wanted.

Took Too Long

Ordered a Thule bike rack for my car and shipping said it would take 7-10 business days, but the darn thing took 14-20 days! I had to keep checking on the item to find out what the issue was. Customer Service was very helpful but I was just so irritated it took so long. AND the item was used! Not very happy with my experience

Excellent pricing and service! Come save some $$$$

Any time I know exactly what I need for hiking gear I go straight to mpgear.com to see if they have it. If they do, I buy! The pricing is great and the service excellent. I received a great deal on two sleeping bags and they added two free sleeping pads, size of my choice. Afterwards I had to change my order, they answered and accommodated me immediately. Later I received an email with 20% coupon and used it to buy a tent I've been eyeing for awhile. Not only did I get the tent I wanted for a discount, the 20% off added another $80 in savings. I've spent about $850 with this company this year and saved over $200! I would recommend them to anybody consider an outdoor equipment purchase. Thank you MPGear!

Super quick delivery

I am an amazon.com PRIME member mainly for the free 2 day shipping. I purchased a Northface jacket from Amazon which sadly was not eligible for 2 day shipping. I ordered it on Sunday and it surprisingly was delivered on Tuesday. I was amazed that it was shipped out so quickly.
