Great jeans, best fit is the slim fit or skinny fit jean. The super skinny fit is like taping a vice around your legs.

In general good quality product, shipped in a good timescale and the customer service are clear in supporting and showing care if/when something goes wrong.

Ordered 3 pairs of skinny jeans and at first I loved them. Fit was fantastic, however every single one fell apart within 4 months. Stitching came apart, fabric wore through at seams - entire waistband came off one pair. Got refund for 2 pairs eventually after several attempts to get in touch and sending them back but can’t be bothered to go through it all again for the third pair that has fallen apart. Sadly don’t recommend at all.

Customer service has long gone. Items are pretty much standard quality these days.

Can't support a company that only responds to people who post "OMG LOVE IT SO MUCH"....have a problem? Be ignored. Have a question? Be ignored....

I found the MonkeeGenes service stellar. The website was easy to navigate, as well as their customer service going above and beyond to ensure I secured their custom. One size was not available in one of the products, however, they found an alternative and honoured the price of the original. Returning was a little clunky, however, it was carried out without issue. I will be looking to purchase from them again.

This is the second pair of chinos I have bought from Monkee Genes, once again they have surpassed expectations. Fast delivery and a fab ethos combined with a great product make this company one of my favourites. Will definately be back in the future.

I was so excited to buy from Monkee Genes for their ethos and because the jeans were the exact style I wanted. Overall the jeans fit well, though slightly loose on sitting around the middle (but that was maybe just me being picky!). However, while I have worn these quite a bit, I have washed them as per the instructions but they have got a hole in the seam (which should be strong) and the elastic in them seems to have gone. This results in puckering which just looks odd. Additionally, the fly seems to come away which is so frustrating - it just shows an exposed zip meaning I have to wear a top untucked. If I iron it, it will stay down for a few minutes but they opens again.

I really hope Monkee are able to sort the quality issues, I know I am not the only person to be disappointed with them and have similar issues. I so want to support the company and buy another pair but don't want to risk it.

The jeans aren't amazing quality, pretty standard similar to h&m.
The returns/exchange process is ridiculous! You have to cover the cost of sending the product back with signed delivery, which is ridiculous when you consider that cheaper brands with items less £10 offer free returns and exchange.
I understand that what they're mainly selling is 'sweatshop free' clothes but that doesn't have to mean poor quality and service.

Hope they improve

When looking for my last pair of jeans I went into an ethical clothing store looking for MUD jeans but was convinced to give Monkee Genes a go. After three months of normal use, they are significantly frayed and have a large hole in them. I would like to stress that I've followed the care instructions and haven't been using the jeans as active wear they are just poor quality. Unlike some other competitors they don't offer repair options so I can't send them to be repaired either. It's a shame that they are such poor quality as I love the ethos of the company. I've owned jeans less than half the price that have lasted four times as long so I'll be sure to avoid this company in the future and to tell friends and family to do the same.

Great customer service and great products, have never had any issues with them or their products would definetly order again and would highly recommend them!
