The most appalling negligence and incompetence, and total unprofessionalism on the part of all the staff — this is exactly what the Memovida GmbH funeral company represents.
MY DEAREST MOMMY — my most precious, my most beloved, and my closest person — passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026.
On that day, the palliative oncologist who came to our home to check on my mom’s condition and prescribe any additional medications, was compelled to officially pronounce her dead. On the very same day, my relative called this funeral company and requested their services, noting in advance that cremation would likely be the choice, not knowing my Mom’s last will regarding the funeral.
In accordance with my wish, the body of my beloved Mommy was to spend the night at home with me, and the next day on Friday, April 24, the funeral company’s staff were to come and take her.
My dear Mommy died of an incurable illness. She knew about her illness and wanted to die at home.
Her last will was that I was the one as her son to wash her body after her death and dress her in her favorite clothes and especially her favorite luxurious and gorgeous dress, which I had given her several years ago.
There was nothing surprising in my Mom’s will because I AM HER ONLY SON, and I myself had taken care of her 24/7 for the last 5 years up until the very moment of her death.
My dearest Mommy and I have had such incredibly close and trusting relationship throughout our entire life, which are extremely rare between mother and son, and many people envied our relationship.
So, as agreed, on Friday, April 24, two representatives of the funeral company arrived to take my deceased Mom's body. I immediately informed them that this would be a regular EARTH BURIAL OF THE BODY (!), and UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES CREMATION (!), and that THE BODY HAD ALREADY BEEN WASHED (!) AND MUST (!) REMAIN IN THE CLOTHES I HAD PUT ON !!! Moreover, I told them that DURING THE FAREWELL CEREMONY AT THE CEMETERY THE COFFIN WOULD BE OPEN !
They took my deceased Mom's body.
An hour later, the funeral company’s employee from the office called me back to confirm that I was ordering a regular EARTH BURIAL OF THE BODY, and NOT CREMATION.
I told the funeral company’s employee that I had washed my Mom and dressed her in her favorite clothes, and that the morgue staff MUST NOT UNDRESS HER, because I had already done everything myself. The employee scheduled a meeting for me at the funeral company’s office for Wednesday, April 29, to sign the documents for a standard EARTH BURIAL OF THE BODY.
On April 29, during our meeting with employee Ruth Vossel at the funeral company's office, I ONCE AGAIN EMPHASIZED THE PARTICULAR IMPORTANCE OF MY BELOVED MOM'S WISH to be buried in her favorite clothes — specifically the ones she wanted to be buried in. I once again emphasized that she wanted me — and no one else — to dress her for her final journey, because she knew that morgue staff would never dress a deceased person’s body with the same special love and care as their closest loved one would.
And now, the result.
According to the documents from the the most appalling funeral company Memovida GmbH, my dear Mommy was scheduled for CREMATION !!!
MY DEAREST MOMMY WAS STRIPPED NAKED !!!
HER LUXURIOUS DRESS FROM AN AMERICAN BRAND WAS TAKEN OFF !!!
THEY TOOK OFF EVERYTHING SHE WAS WEARING UNDER THE DRESS: THE EXPENSIVE CASHMERE BLOUSE, THE EXPENSIVE CASHMERE PANTS !!!
THEY TOOK OFF THE BRAND-NEW, EXPENSIVE LEATHER SHOES !!!
THEY TOOK OFF THE BRA, PANTIES, AND SOCKS !!!
ALL THESE CLOTHES WORTH MORE THAN 500 EUROS DISAPPEARED !!!
I CANNOT EVEN ESTIMATE THE VALUE OF THIS UNIQUE DRESS AT CURRENT MARKET RATES, AS IT IS A MASTERPIECE PURCHASED SEVERAL YEARS AGO IN THE UNITED STATES !!!
BUT I WANT TO SAY THAT THIS IS NOT JUST ABOUT THE COST OF THE CLOTHES; THE TRAGEDY LIES IN THE FACT THAT THE FINAL WISH AND WILL OF MY BELOVED MOMMY — MY DEAREST, MY CLOSEST, AND MY MOST CHERISHED PERSON — WAS CRUELLY AND BRUTALLY VIOLATED !!!
