Nightmare place to work!
Having worked at Mckay Williamson I would strongly advise anyone who is ever considering working here to avoid it. My experience was utterly awful, I felt as though I was bullied by the owner, made to feel unconfident and belittled. The employee turn around was ridiculously fast, and says everything you need to know about working here. The working systems were a mess, many employees aired there concerns to the owner, but was ignored, not only ignored but got it in the neck for not being more productive, if only he could take advice then we could have been more productive. There is no work place culture, it's rife with rumour and bad feeling, pretty much every employee was looking for a way out. If the owner didn't like you he would make your daily working life a misery, belittling you, micro managing your work to the point you left, this happened on multiple occasions, as he never wanted to fire anyone and come across as 'the bad guy', he would just make you daily working life a misery until you quit. I saw people in tears after they had had a disciplinary meeting with the owner, (though the disciplinary was some spurious charge he had made up just to get rid of you). There are other detailed reviews online of Mckay Williamson, detailing very specific things that only employees would know, such as the operations manager living in Australia, come 13:00 UK time, if you needed to run anything past him, you couldn't. The hard drive systems being an utter nightmare to work with. Just avoid this place is my recommendation.
